The ACT program in this institute was amazing. The classes are not only very educational but also a lot of fun. The teachers were fantastic and showed so much passion in trying to improve all the students’ scores.

I used Esther here for the college counseling. She is hands down the best counselor I have used (she’s my third). I just got accepted into Brown and Upenn after being waitlisted so you can tell how thankful I am! Thanks Esther and co.

My experience with Edugroup was incredible. After facing dissatisfaction with my SAT score and other college counselors, Edugroup provided me the opportunity to explore the ACT and enhance my college applications.
Many people, including myself, automatically turn to the SAT. However, my experience with the SAT wasn’t that great. I decided to try the ACT and went to Edugroup for a diagnostic test, and I thought it was so much better. As a general comment, I think everyone should at least attempt the ACT because it is just a completely different test style. Also, since the SAT is changing soon, ACT is probably the better investment for students planning on taking a standardized test within the next several years because they will have much more accurate materials to practice from in comparison to the newly released SAT.
If you’re interested in the ACT, you should come to Edugroup. Among all the academies I’ve been to, I never seen one with such a large test bank of real tests. Every week, I was able to take multiple practice tests that I’ve never seen before, so I got plenty of practice before the real exam. Furthermore, the teachers were super supportive throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend anyone to prepare for the ACT at Edugroup!

My sister has attended Edugroup for the ACT class and college counseling last year, and brought back great results for both. Given her positive experience with the place, I felt compelled to leave a good review here.
Edugroup hosts several educational services and has competent teachers for all of them. The teachers there clearly know their material and are well prepared for their classes. Isaac Kim, the ACT tutor of Edugroup, has an intensive grasp on not just the material itself, but on how to present it to students. The students love him because he can maintain a positive, fun environment without derailing too much from the material. Esther Cho, the college counselor of Edugroup, has countless success stories of sending students to top ranked colleges and Ivys. With her intensive knowledge of the college application process and previous experiences of sending students to these schools, she understands these schools and knows the best way to apply for them. Both counselors proved to be very accommodating to my sister’s needs, willing to finish work with her over Skype, for example. I have talked to both, and they seem to be genuine people who were interested in my sister’s progress. If you or your child need a place to get some help on the ACT and/​or college prep, I would recommend Edugroup given my experiences with them.

Thanks to Isaac Kim’s help, I improved my score greatly, especially in science. However, it is clear that he has a lot of experience with all subjects. His expertise goes beyond what you can get out of any prep book. And I don’t think I could’ve scored as well without his help. I learned to portion my time and he gives special techniques and hints which he developed himself. Also, he was very open to questions and he was very kind and approachable. So don’t be afraid to ask questions and I guarantee, he will give you a very personalized experience.
Also, my college counselor, Esther really found extracurricular activities for me that I really enjoyed and pertained to my major. She also helped me brainstorm ideas for my essays and personally, my common app essay turned out to be really unique and my personality shined through. And it was very out of the box which colleges really loved. She helped me get into so many great schools like Boston College, Carnegie Mellon University, UCLA, and Georgetown University. Overall, my experience with all of the staff at Edugroup has made my college application process much more enjoyable and less stressful and I think I learned more about myself through this process. I really recommend Edugroup!

Isaac (one of the ACT teachers) helped ENORMOUSLY with my ACT last year! He’s a fantastic teacher and he explains very well how he would tackle a certain type of problem or how to work on your pacing as you take the test. All the practice tests and worksheets that he offers are very practical and help you feel more confident about the test overall. He works with you on a vast range of techniques and idea, from overall pacing to specific graphs in the science section, to really ensure that you make progress and get the best score you can.
One thing I loved about him was that he was incredibly approachable not only in the classroom but out of it; he really got to know his students on more of a personal level than the average teacher. I think just having someone with his character/​personality to teach you allows you to gain so much more in the classroom.

I used Edugroup last year, and upon receiving review requests from them yesterday on their new Unilocal page, I willingly did it, that’s how awesome Esther and Isaac were.
I was helping my cousin (in China) find college counseling help last year. My friend recommended Edugroup because of college connections. It took a while to find it as they’re hidden inside the plaza on the second floor. Anyway, Esther is the college counselor there and she helped my cousin get into Columbia and Cornell (she’s there now). My cousin also needed ACT tutoring, and Isaac helped her via the internet as well (rare case, but he was still so willing). I’m not sure what the improvements were, but my cousin was super happy about her test results.
Anyway, I hope they succeed because they were pretty genuine people and not pushy with sales like other places I went.
