DriveCrash Data Recovery

I had 2 drives crash on one of our companies servers without warning and several years of valuable data could have been lost since the backup hadn’t backed up the most recent data and had skipped files since the drives had become unstable over time. I found DriveCrash online and I walked in and had them do an analysis, they were optimistic but it was going to take time since they had to rebuild the array for the 2 failed drives since they were striped. I received a call and a quote and they had this all done in 2 days. When I received the drive all the data had been recovered. Luis is amazing, I would very much recommend this company, it isn’t cheap but specialty services never are and they kept me informed of all cost all through the process, so there were no surprises, in my opinion it’s worth it!

Dropped my phone in the pool. It was only in there for a few seconds, but that was enough. They could see that there was data on the mother board, but it was getting too hot for them to get my 4000+ pictures (several vacations — that weren’t backed up) off. They were patient and kept trying. They finally were able to get the raw data off and got it all fixed up so that I got my priceless pictures back! I highly recommend these guys.

My external drive stopped working or died as I should accurately say a week before my wedding back in April earlier this year. Just as I was trying to back up the photos on my camera/​memory stick. After searching for somewhere locally in South Florida and not finding anyone that would work on an external drive, I found Drive Crash or Hard Drive Repair Co. Lou was great, he called me to find out what the problem entailed and then once the work was started he called me several times to keep me updated on the process. I was a little more expensive than I had anticipated but well worth the expense. All my files were recovered in their original files I had created. The photos and videos of my son, my father (who has passed away) and all our trips was well worth it. Thank you again

We lost 2 RAID drives (D) but still had the OS ©. The data was from a legacy system so even though we had backups and images the system the software couldn’t be restored to a new environment. We sent the drives to Lou and he kept up informed all the way. The data was recovered, we put in a new drive, formatted it with the old drive letter and copied the recovered data over. The OS saw the drive and with some tweaking the data was reattached to SQL and we were back up. I highly recommend Drive Crash based on my experience with them, a life saver!

Lou and Lewis have amazing customer service. I’m a teacher and I had a tun of my lessons on a flash drive (I know, not a smart idea to begin with) that became «unreadable». They were able to recover ALL my files and even gave me a new flash drive that contained my files, for free! It was definitely pricey, but worth it.

I’d spent weeks working on a Masters term paper. The day it was due my hard drive crashed and there was nothing the Apple Store could do. In a panic we sped off to Drive Crash. In a few hours Lou’d been able to save it. Highly recommend Lou and Drive Crash if you too are dumb enough not to back up your drive!

These guys provided an estimate for recovering data from my crashed hard drive. Very very expensive. They then called and said it was going to be more. At the end of this nightmare they charged me $ 1700! Which was $ 600 more than the «oh this is going to be harder than we thought» price. Kids pictures, personal docs recovered but these guys should have «extortion» in their business name.

I was referred to this company by my husband. I work for a small business and our external hard drive crashed which contained vital documents. We took the hard drive to staples and they did not have any success. Drive crash was successful in retrieving all of the documents. They saved us a lot of time and money. They were quick and kept in communication with us throughout the entire process. The money was well worth the amount of data they were able to recover.

Lou was very helpful and their team saved my life. Paul was also helpful, they were all optimistic and made me feel better. I thought I lost all my footage with a Raid 0 stripe fail but they were able to piece it back and I got 90% of my information back all 900GB of it, It’s a miracle and thank you so much!!! Thank you so much to Lou and his team at DriveCrash. I had two hard drives both with the same information one crashed and one was fried. After taking my drives to another computer shop and having them keep them for a week I was told my drives were hopeless unless I wanted to spend minimum 2k.
I took my drives to DriveCrash and within an hour Lu called me back to let me know that my drives were recoverable and offered me the best possible solution for a price that wasn’t even close to 2k.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE A TOTAL RIP OFF!!! THE MANAGER ACTUALLY TOLD ME I «CAN’T HAVE MY CAKE AND EAT IT TOO» and then hung up on me. They had no problem taking my credit card info but never called me or contacted me in any way after that. Every time I would call to inquire about it, he would tell me they are working on it… they were «working on it» for 10 months. When I asked for my hard drive to be returned he told me they threw it away… obviously without my consent! It’s a scam… DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!

Total rip. They charge $ 95 for a diagnostic when everyone else is free, including the company right next door.
Completely disorganized. When you walk in you’ll wonder if you’re at a business or recycling center.
When I took my drive in at 11am they said they would have the diagnostic done in 1 hour and would call me. When I called at 2pm to get an update I was told «the person working on my drive had just stepped out for lunch and should be back any time.»
When I called at 3:30pm I was told «the person working on my drive just left for lunch and should be back any time.»

Totally waste of time and money, I called right away after dropped my Lacie Quadra on the floor, they told me it’s going to be fine, around $ 95 dlls an hour, should take about 2 – 4 hours, sounds good to me, I send it here instead LaCie «error» they call me to say it was going to be 1700 on top of 500 that I paid down so they can start working on my drive, I agree, but they start taking forever to get back to me, most of the time they say they’re were working on the drive, but it’s going to take more time at the point that it doesn’t worth for me wait and pay that much so I ask them to just send the drive back to me the way I was, I get my drive back home two months later! TOTALLY WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!

These guys were a joke. They are disorganized, and promise the world, but deliver very little. They have no idea what the status of your project is, always say they will have to call you back, but never return calls.
You have to give them a CC number to start the process, and they just seem to add charges to it. After $ 2500 in data recovery fees — they put a bunch of junk data on a drive (that they charged me for) and said that was the best they could do – never mind that I gave them drives to put the recovered data on.
Consumer beware.

Literally only days before my hard drive crashed, I was saying, «I really need to get a back-​up system in place.» I don’t know if my drive was trying to telepathically tell me what was going to happen or not, but I should have listened.
Lou never promised they’d be able to save everything, but he told me they’d check it and give me an estimate. The drive took more work than I expected, but in the end DriveCrash delivered an external drive with what appears to be every one of the data files that I thought might be either lost or damaged.
My only suggestion would be that if you want to have the data returned to you on a «standard» hard drive instead of an external drive that you make this known up front and deliver the replacement drive with the bad one. The default is to give you your data on an external drive. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining about their service. This is a detail I didn’t think about up front and I think I might have been more satisfied if I’d thought about it and even more satisfied if they had suggested it.
The price for the service is not cheap, but hard lessons rarely are. I will now be extra diligent in my back-​up routine.

Great service! I have had 2 different drives recovered and both times came out perfect! Lou and the team are very friendly and went out of there way to help! Recovering a drive is never cheap, but the end result was totally worth it thanks to drive crash! I would recommend anyone with a dead drive to go here!

Total rip off! I was told it was $ 95 an hour for 12 hrs to recover my Lacie External hard drive after they received it. Then it took 3 weeks for them to send it back to me. I paid over $ 130 for nothing.
I’ve since heard the about price is normal for this high-​tech procedure.
