Dr. Hsu and his staff are absolutely amazing. When I went in for my first consultation with Dr. Hsu, I was nervous but relied on the fact that my dentist highly recommended him. I now know why! He was very honest, helpful and clear on what was involved in getting my wisdom teeth pulled out. Answered any and every question I had and was very approachable. He actually made me look forward to having my teeth removed. That day, his staff worked hard to make sure they worked their best with my insurance to get my coverage in line, gave me a great estimate and scheduled my extractions procedure. I couldn’t believe how friendly everyone was that I was actually looking forward to coming in again!
I was counting down the days to the procedure. Weird, I know, but I was looking forward to it. Came into the office with my driver, they won’t do the procedure if one isn’t present, for safety reasons of course. I was put under general anesthesia to have all 5 (4 wisdom plus another bad tooth) removed, my choice because I couldn’t imagine being awake to pull 5 teeth! Yikes. I woke up and was told I talked quite a bit… which probably annoyed his staff and himself because I’m obnoxious as it is. Oops. But everyone was very friendly and I didn’t even realize they pulled them all out! I felt very little pain! I heard nothing but horror stories from friends and coworkers about their teeth removals but Dr. Hsu did such a great job at removing them that I felt everyone else was over exaggerating because, really, I felt completely fine and astonished that my teeth were gone.
This is day two after the procedure and given the circumstances I am feeling great. I’m typing this from my work office at 8:30 AM the day after a 2PM procedure if that tells you how great his team worked to make my recovery time to everyday normal quite fast!
I definitely will recommend Dr. Hsu and his whole office to everyone who asks. I am very fortunate I got to meet him and his whole team!

Had only my top 2 wisdom teeth come in late and thought it was going to be a pain getting them out.
I only remember the stories my high school friends had shared with me about the process and after the procedure. To my delight, I had absolutely no pain (local anesthetic — I only felt slight pressure) during the procedure and was done in a reasonable time.
Post wisdom teeth extraction was almost too easy (I might just be lucky).
Very slight discomfort at the worst and back to work the next day — talking and fully functioning.
Following Dr. Hsu’s post procedure instructions, I was careful with my foods and brushing; was eating solids in about a week and fully healed a couple weeks after that.
Dr. Hsu is an excellent oral surgeon and I’d recommend him to anyone! You’ll be in great care!

I needed my wisdom teeth removed and finally did after years of putting it off.
I started by looking online for orthodontists in this area. I really liked Daniel Hsu profile and went for a consultation. The staff was professional and quick. I had my x-​rays done and was given a quote to remove all four wisdom teeth. The quote was reasonable and I decided to book an appointment to get it over with. I opted for anesthesia to avoid the discomfort of such a procedure.
The day of the appointment I got my gf to drive me to the office. Once I got into the chair, it took a few minutes for the nurse to set up everything. Once that was done, the doc put an IV and I fell asleep. Woke up and ready to go home. Everyone did a great job and I fully recovered after a week. Great doctor and amazing service.

Amazing work! Great Experience! I went in to get 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. I was a bit nervous going in, but there was nothing to worry about. Everyone working there made my whole wisdom teeth removal experience super pleasant and relaxing. The best experience I have ever had for my teeth. I was scheduled for a consultation within a week from a phone call. The receptionists were very kind and friendly. Dr. Hsu was very friendly and helpful throughout the consultation.
My consultation was for removing all of my wisdom teeth and I was scheduled the following week to have them removed. There wasn’t much of a wait, even though I was a new patient. Dr. Hsu is on top of his schedule! I was surprised that I was scheduled so quickly.
The day of my surgery I was nervous, but Dr. Hsu was very reassuring with me and helped put me at ease. I was having some difficulty with my payment process, but everyone in the office was very patient and I’m thankful for that.
During the operation, I got knocked out super fast and was woken from a 45 min operation that felt like a 2 min nap. I had too much fun after the operation.
Overall, highly recommended! I had a blast!

I have major bone loss in my jaw and needed to have bones implanted before I can have some implants done. After visiting 3 different oral surgeons for consultation I decided to go to Dr. Hsu.
He is very personable, listens to what you want to say, explains everything in a simple understandable way. He makes sure you don’t feel any pain during the procedure. His staff is very efficient and friendly. I never had to wait more than 3 minutes after arriving for my appointment.

Ate pizza and wannggsss after coming home from my wisdom teeth surgery. I was bleeding a bit but so what. you don’t say no to free pizza. It was from Round Table, it had supreme toppings and couple hot wanggsss with ranch sauce on it. Taste of my own blood but didn’t bother me, probably because I’m so damn manly, or I was still high from surgery. Probably manly.
Dr. Hsu and his staff of lovely ladies were awesome. From the appointment call to the end, and a check up after, was a very positive experience.
Money. They check with your insurance and tell you exactly how much it’s going to be during the consultation phase.
Setting up Surgery: Consultation took like 15 minutes. X-​Ray then quick discussion of what’s going on with your teeth, set up appoint for surgery and you’re out. They check in with you after to make sure you remember and are ready for surgery.
Surgery, Dr. Hsu didn’t waste his time and got mine done in 15 minutes. I’m going to say he’s a very talented at this since I was able to just come home and eat pizza/​wannngss right after. People were surprised at how normal and painless I was after the surgery. I had no pain whatsoever even after 3 days. I still tried to take the pills for «pain relieving» to see if I’ll feel high, but no go. DAMN IT!!!
Staff is awesome, and the doctor is awesome. If I have any other issues, I’d go here again. Thanks guys, you made my long fear of taking my wisdom teeth out a very comfortable one.

One week 3 days later. No numbness in lips or mouth parts. My bottom two wisdom teeth were side ways and at first I heard these were always complications at this age, mid 20s.

So I’m in LA for a business meeting and, of course, I get a major tooth ache. My dentist warned me that this could happen. Should have done something about it earlier. Should have pulled the tooth when he told me to. Anyway…
I gave my dentist a call to see what I should do (luckily they were still open. They’re over in the east coast). He recommended an oral surgeon, Dr. Hsu, he knew but he was in Irvine, which would have been a trek. However, since I’m already scared of the dentist to begin with, I decided to take the trek and go to the guy my dentist recommended than to a random dentist. And also checked Unilocal to confirm this guy was okay.
Anyway, the office staff was very nice. They were understanding of the situation I was in and accommodated my schedule. They got me in immediately (well, at least until I could drive down there). The office is very clean and welcoming.
Met Dr. Hsu, who’s a really nice guy. Very confident and reassuring. Put my dental nerves at ease (although I still chose to be sedated). The extraction was quick and painless, just like Dr. Hsu told me it would be.
I am very glad I decided to make the trek over to Irvine to get treated. Great surgeon, great staff.

The results for my biopsy came in extremely fast (3 days versus the 4 weeks we had thought it was going to take), and Dr Hsu called me right away to discuss. I came in today to have Dr Hsu remove the cyst along with my 2 other wisdom teeth. Dr Hsu informed me the procedure went extremely well and the cyst was removed successfully without disturbing the nerve that it was actually bearing on. I am still a little woozy from the anesthesia but feel relatively ok now after about 4 hours. Dr Hsu is so professional, thorough, and caring. His staff is extremely friendly and pleasant to talk to. Dr Yun, the anesthesiologist was great too, he was funny and made me feel at ease. I am so glad it’s over and so relieved the cyst is gone from my mouth. Dr Hsu is the best!

Had a great experience for the second part of my surgery. No wait, friendly service, and everything was explained in detail.

Dr. Hsu’s office is a true gem in the dental sector. He is an expert in his field, extraordinarily skilled at what he does, and provides the utmost care and attention. He truly has the patient’s best intention in mind.
I had a slightly complicated case of impacted wisdom teeth and as a result, had a slightly higher risk of experiencing permanent numbness from wisdom teeth extraction than most. Prior to Dr. Hsu, I had seen a few oral surgeons, none of which made me feel very confident. The other oral surgeons relentlessly insisted that I remove my wisdom teeth and assured me that it was minimal risk.
When I came to Dr. Hsu, he did not try to force anything upon me. He objectively explained my situation and the risk that was involved and ultimately let me decide on what to do. He made feel that he genuinely cared about my dental health, rather than other oral surgeons who just wanted to perform the surgery on me.
In the end, I decided to have Dr. Hsu take my wisdom teeth taken out. The process was extremely smooth – surgery took less than 20 minutes! No numbness at all! The recovery process went smoothly as well and Dr. Hsu and his office were very good about monitoring my recovery process. I had some slight inflammation in my gums and Dr. Hsu was very prompt to respond and take care of my issue.
Overall, I strongly recommend Dr. Hsu and his awesome staff! They really care about their patients, and Dr. Hsu is very skilled at what he does and puts the patient first, before anything else.

In and out! Needed a tooth pulled and that was that. They didn’t try to scare me into thinking I needed more done like bone grafting or an implant ASAP. He was honest and didn’t try to rip me off like the last place I was referred to and consulted.
His prices are fair and I’m glad I have my insurance for once! Unlike the last place they wanted me to pay up to $ 600 AFTER my insurance for grafting that I obviously do not need. I just wanted my tooth OUT! It cost less than $ 100 for my visit to Dr. Hsu. Grafting and implant was unnecessary.
Mind you, it cost me $ 60 to just consult with the last «professional.»
I am SO happy I sought out Dr. Hsu on my own for a second opinion. He was fast and gentle. It took him only 10 min with just local anesthesia. His staff was friendly and got me taken care of in a timely matter.

My dentist referred me to a couple oral surgeons who weren’t in my network to get some scar tissue removed from the inside of my cheek… I instead started looking on my own for an in-​network provider and I decided on Dr. Hsu and I’m glad I did.
I went for my consultation last week which lasted about 15 minutes and he very thoroughly explained everything to me. His front desk and billing staff are all very friendly and will answer all your questions (I had a million), they even went out of their way to get pre-​auth from my insurance so I knew how much I could expect to pay out of pocket ahead of time without having too many surprises.
I came back the following week (today) and my entire appointment from when I signed in to when I walked out all stitched up, was only about 45 minutes long.
His office is in Woodbridge Medical on the second floor… there is tons of parking and the building and his office are both very nice.
I don’t know if I will ever need to use an oral surgeon again, but I will absolutely come to Dr. Hsu if I do. He is friendly, knowledgeable and obviously good at what he does.

Dr. Hsu and his team are all very professional and great to be around. Dr. Hsu just recently removed four of my daughter’s teeth and she was fine and went to school the next day. A couple months ago he removed two of my impacted wisdom teeth. The surgery was painless and to my own error I ended up gargling to hard and had the clot dislodge. I ended up getting dry socket which is one of the most painful thing I have ever endured. Dr Hsu gave me meds that helped with the pain and also covered the dry socket with some stuff to help with recovery. Highly recommend for any oral surgery. Thanks Dr Hsu!

I’ve been putting off the extraction of my two bottom impacted wisdom teeth for several years but finally decided to pull the trigger. When it comes to sharp objects going in my mouth, I take it very seriously so I was on a quest to find the best oral surgeon in town.
I went in for my initial consultation and was very impressed with the clean high-​tech facility, friendly staff, and Dr. Hsu. He took the time to thoroughly review my x-​ray with me and go over the procedure while answering the many questions I had. But moreso than what was said is what was not said. Never once did I feel pressured to book my procedure and I never got hounded either after leaving.
A few months after my consultation, I decided to book an appointment and found myself on the reclining dental chair in a matter of 2 weeks. I opted for «twilight» sedation, which is not fully knocked out — although I don’t remember too much of the procedure. I hope I didn’t make ‘too much’ of a fool of myself. I was in-​and-​out of there within an hour and the extraction itself was super easy. Much better than I had ever expected.
I ultimately went home and the pain usually gets worse around day 3 but mine was not getting better after day 4 so I emailed Dr. Hsu on a Sunday not really expecting to get a response until Monday. He (yes, Dr. Hsu himself) actually emailed me back an hour later with some instruction — wow, getting a hold of a Doctor is hard enough but to get a response within an hour on Sunday? That’s just fantastic. Turns out I had what’s called a Dry Socket, which has nothing to do with the procedure itself but I may have gargled too hard; knocking out the healing clot.
For anyone who needs dental work, I highly recommend Dr. Hsu. Trust me when I say this… he deserves 6 stars for going above and beyond all areas of service and recovery. Thanks Dr. Hsu and team!

This office is professional and knowledgeable on what they do.
I had 2 of my bottom wisdom teeth extracted and I did not have any swelling and very minimum pain (It only hurt a little when I ate) the same day! I’m on day 2 of my post-​operation and I feel fine. No pain and no swelling!
For the operation itself, it took about 1 hour for everything. Dr. Hsu put me to sleep and numbed me at the same time. Before I knew it, the operation was over!
If you need your wisdom teeth removed, I recommend this facility!

Was referred from one dentist to another dentist to another dentist to check this place out! I’m totally serious! The dentist I normally go to was super honest and said I needed to go to an oral surgeon (he was not) in order to get all 4 wisdom teeth out because they were all impacted, so here I came!
This place is the bees knees. They gave me a quote, confirmed the quote with my insurance, we booked the appointment, paid before I went in for surgery, and boom done after a 45min procedure.
I live right down the street so my roommate dropped me off and picked me up, but if you live far away, just have the person who takes you in to stay around because it is seriously a short procedure.
It’s like I took a little nap and woke up a little woozy and off home I went! But I’m glad I don’t have to do this again. Getting your wisdom teeth out is not fun.
