Inconsistent. Either completely wrong or almost right. If you order combo you either get healthy portion or barley nothing. Last order my panini was burnt. I wasn’t going to go back to wait another 15 mins for them to fix it as I already had to wait for my online order that was place 30 mins prior to picking up my order. Only reason go to this corner bakery because only one near my work. Otherwise I would choose another location over Spectrum location any day.

Really a hit or miss. Never had the real food here, only bakery items and coffee so far. The hot coffee is often burnt, not a huge fan, the bakery items sometimes stale and pricey for the quality. What I do like here is the blended coffee, perfect fuel for an afternoon of shopping at the spectrum. Service is also a hit or miss, same with how long it takes for your order to get ready. Descent option in the area, but there are better.

Order a pesto cavatappi. Waited half an hour before I went up to ask the male employee(who took my order) where my food was. He didn’t remember what I previously order and went to ask around. They didn’t even place my order even though I paid Eventually got my food. Not too bad. They gave me a cookie and coupons for my inconvenience.

My office had a «Lunch and Learn» today that I was responsible for ordering the lunch for. I usually will order from another sandwich place *cough*Panera*cough* and go to pick it up… but for this type of luncheon, Corner Bakery worked out way better, with their catering options… and they delivered. I ordered the create your own with sandwiches, chips, salad and dessert. I chose the Medium size, as it feeds 11 — 14 people, and I had 12. I chose 12 sandwiches total, and the green salad and the mixed desserts. I am used to places delivering late, when I order for the office, so I needed my food at 12 and asked for 11:30, figuring it would come somewhere in the middle. Delivery showed up at 11:25 and was put in the conference room and completely set up for me, and unwrapped if I wanted, but I didnt since it was still a little early. I also ordered myself a Lunch Box, and I ordered the turkey and swiss with chips and a salad. For the salad, I chose the pasta salad, figuring I would regret it. NOPE! Look at me, wrong AGAIN! Not something that happens, like ever. HA! The pasta salad had so much flavor, was cooked perfectly and was SO fresh and delicious. I want more! To my surprise, my lunch box had some fruit in it as well. I propped everything up to take a picture… then took out my sandwich to eat it… and BAM! A cookie! There was so much in my box, for under $ 10. I couldnt even eat my second half of my sandwich because there was so much other fun stuff in there. That, also never happens, lol. The price was around $ 220, which averages out to about $ 18 per person for a sandwich, salad, chips and dessert, plus I added a small tip for delivery. The delivery was an additional $ 20 charge onto the order. The basket for all of the food was $ 190, which had I gone and picked it up, would average out to about $ 16 per person. I will definitely order from Corner Bakery again for the office, especially this location. I ordered online, got my confirmation, and everything was perfect!

Pros and Cons 1. Nice décor 2. Friendly staff 3. Affordable Prices Cons. 1. Mediocre food This particular location is not up to par for Corner Bakery. For some reason, this location serves mediocre food. The food tastes bland and the portion size is not very big for the price you pay. If you want a better Corner Bakery, go to the one in the Irvine Marketplace. That location is significantly better for some reason.

Came in after 3 months of not visiting a Corner Bakery. I paid, and the cashier did not thank me. Things have changed. They used to hire polite and grateful people. It made the place a wonderful place to relax and eat. Not anymore. Sad. Server was extraordinarily nice though.

Pretty expensive for a grilled pressed sandwich and a bag of chips… Get this… The tomatoes in my caprese flat bread were FROZEN. I understand you’re trying to keep your produce fresh, but REALLY??? On top of that. No. UNDER that, was all the melted ice from the chopped frozen tomatoes. Like if I’m paying $ 8 for a slice of mozzarella and some tomatoes in between a folded little piece of baked yeast and dough, can it not be dripping wet?! I’m reluctantly giving two stars because of course I could not eat that, and they made me a new one, with sliced cherry tomatoes this time. But like seriously? They should call this place the Cutting Corners Bakery.

Really mediocre food. Super bland. Tomato soup was very water downed and their pasta was super oily. Portions are really small. Service was pretty bad, cashiers were not really attentive when you ask them to bring you something. I asked for boxes and waited 15 minutes for them. Getting up and grabbing them yourself is faster. I won’t be back!

Food is taking a while, I mean it is lunch time so I understand. Also try to give me an entrée amount instead of just piling the pasta to right side to make it look big lol. The pasta is delicious like always, bread is hard, chewy, and most likely older, like always. Consistency is good I guess

Came here last weekend and ordered a Cheddar Broccoli Soup, Loaded Baked Potato Soup, and Cheese Cake Brownie. Both soups were delicious. and Cheese Cake Brownie as well. Recommend the soups especially on a cold day/night.

Ordered a sandwhich and kids meal to go. Had to ask the employee if the juice box was in bag after she said have a nice day. Then she said, «Oh, go ahead and pick one out. « Got home, checked bag, kids cookie missing resulting in a VERY unhappy child. What is the point picking out the type of cookie and drink online? Really Corner Bakery? Get it together! 12/15/2015 2:19pm Order # 9902201

I come here whenever I shop at the Spectrum to get a large fountain drink. I mix the two different iced teas with the two different lemonades that they have. I’m also a fan of the bakery’s raisin pecan bread crisps, which are so addicting. Food wise, the items are okay. My work gets stuff catered from here a lot. The mini dessert platters have a good variety and satisfies my sweet tooth. There’s in door and outdoor seating and it’s never too crowded.

The corner bakery at Irvine spectrum is probably my favorite corner bakery. That is if I HAVE to go to a corner bakery. Why do I have to go to a corner bakery? Well, they offer freebies at times. Last time I was here was getting the free smily mugs for national smile day. Free 25cents coffee refill with the smily mug for one year. This time they offered free flat bread. I hope people don’t pay full price for the flat bread. They are really, really tiny. Like the size of your palm. I guess that’s why they only have 300 calories. It is free food so I am not complaining. But with so many competition, I will only go to corner bakery if I have no other option. The service is ok. The food is pricy. The coffee is weak. The chair had left over food on them. Sorry. Just no reason to go back if it’s not for freebies.

We received a coupon in our email for a free cookie and since my wife’s middle name is «free,» we decided to head over and check out this sweet deal(pun intended). Corner Bakery is tucked away next to Macy’s at the Irvine Spectrum. If you’re not looking for it you might miss it! We were greeted by the friendly staff when we arrived and were graciously allowed to peruse the menu without feeling pressured to make up our minds in a hurry. They have a ton of options if you have a sweet tooth; all manner of muffins, cakes, cookies, and pastries. Our coupon gave us a free cookie with the purchase of any menu item, so we decided to buy the Cinnamon Crème Cake with a free Snickerdoodle. Both were delicious! The cake was dense but not dry. The cookie was soft and chewy; just how I like my Snickerdoodles! There was a little error ringing up our items and the price the cashier gave me did not take off the price of the cookie. The cashier was quick to fix the problem and when the manager came over to re-ring our stuff, he didn’t make a big deal out of it. I appreciate that kind of customer service! The other menu items are on par with Panera as far as price, but are a step up in quality! A very nice experience overall!

I am done with this place! D-O-N-E! Everytime we come here they mess up our order. We have given them SO many chances. Either they forget the chicken(oops!) or peas in the pasta, or they add bread crumbs when we ask for none(msg, anyone??). Our order is never right. NEVER! But this last time takes the cake. Got Mac and cheese with tomatoes. The tomatoes wee disgusting and rotten. And some pieces of pasta looked like they had dirt on them! I think they dropped my plate on the floor and threw the pasta back on the plate. The plate looked so messy and gross with dirt on it. Never again!

Great breakfast. This was my first time having breakfast at a Corner Bakery. I ate on a weekday and it was 30% full. The food was surprisingly amazing. The Anaheim Scrambler is the best breakfast dish I’ve had in a long time. The service was also surprisingly amazing. It took a very long time to order and asked a lot of questions. The cashier was very patient and happy to answer my questions. The workers were chatting with each other and having a good time. Even though it was early in the morning, I could tell the workers enjoyed working there.

Their food is decent, and their service is generally decent, too. Like my Unilocal friend Al S. says, it’s a safe bet. But sometimes, a few little things have been irritating. I like the menu and prices, and always enjoy unlimited coffee bar and soda bar. There is only one person at a time for their bathrooms, and it is often quite messy with water all over the counter. The lines can be long but usually fast, except today which i’ll discuss later. Once my friend ordered Cavatappi pasta with marinara sauce, and I ordered a beef sandwich and bacon mac and cheese combo. Mine was OK, but then the manager went over to my friend and said, «Sorry, we ran out of marinara sauce. and couldn’t make your order.» What? Who runs out of marinara sauce? Meanwhile, my food was served. So, the manager apologized and my friend ordered from the menu… gratis, free of charge. But the second meal came out 8 minutes later when I was about done.(I’m a fast eater when I am hungry). My favorite things here are Asian Chicken Salad, I like the edamame and even grape tomatoes to make it more different than similar salads. I also like the sandwich pasta combos, and my favorite is the mac and cheese with tomato and bacon bits. Honestly, though, their pastas tend to be too watery. And it would be more expensive, but sun dried tomatoes in lieu of fresh would improve that dish. Dessert wise, I like the cinnamon rolls, the crème filled cookie sandwiches, and apple hand pie, But they have so much more that you might like even better. You have to be prepared for noise if you eat inside. The tables are very close together. You can hear intimate details of a person’s battle with their girlfriends or stomach gas. More than a few times, some old people with hearing aids can’t hear themselves, so they shout at each other across the tables. They are as irritating as the kids who are having tantrums in the table next to you. Sometimes, the food comes as little as 5 minutes, sometimes as long as almost a half hour here. A couple of times, the coffee at the coffee bar runs out. If you eat outside, be prepared for birds to come up to your table to eat crumbs. It might seem cute until they poop. Overall, the cashiers and bus persons are efficient, fast, and friendly. But today, the first cashier didn’t hear me when I ordered coffee. When he brought out the order to our table, I realized… ugh, I had to wait in line again. All was OK until a female friend of the male cashier while waiting in line behind me CALLED the cashier standing 6 feet away. That way, she could get some attention, and the two were exchanging teen jabber. There were no other cashiers available because they were all assembling orders. Took 10 minutes to get through the line for one cup of coffee! I should’ve said something, but Unilocal is always a great outlet when service sucks. Anyway, I am not coming here for awhile… and I’ve been here almost every other Sunday for 3 months. Thankfully, there are lots of other places in the Spectrum to check out. Even Rodney Dangerfield would get no respect around here.
