Awesome place! they just opened but im sure its going to be a community favorite soon! very quiet and good for studying. the employees were very nice! the coffee was also good! they have a huge selection of drinks from smoothies to coffee drinks

I am here all of the time. I’ve been coming since they’ve opened.
Cute ambience, good coffee, friendly baristas.
Here is why they get 3 stars. They need shades. When I come here in the summer the sun blazes in the windows and its me and 2 other customers huddled in the shady parts of the store to avoid the scorching sun.
The second star is removed for the fact that they lock their bathroom. It’s Irvine… no lock is needed. When the baristas get busy they can’t let you in. This is the owners decision and its dumb.
I will gladly give them 5 stars if they ever get shades and give free reign to the bathroom because I do like this place alot other than those things.

I’ve been spoiled by really good coffee, so my review might be a tad unfair. This coffee has an off taste, like stale coffee beans were used. Neither the brewed coffee or espresso tasted fresh. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually wish we’d hunted down a Starbucks or 7 – 11.

Customer Service is alright, but the Caramel Machiatto Neve is delicious! Glad this place is right above my Job!

I grab a coffee from Cielo every day before work, they have awesome baristas and great coffee! My favorite is the Matcha Green Tea Latte.

This is a great, quaint coffee shop if you are looking to get away from the hype of Starbucks. There are always seats available to work on homework and it doesn’t take long to get your drink if you are in a hurry. The staff is very friendly and well educated in regards to all things coffee.
I usually get the iced tea lemonade or the iced caramel macchiato — the caramel macchiato is consistently good, but I only order the iced tea lemonade from certain baristas because some add too much tea (but they are always happy to remake the drink).

Great espresso! Never burnt and their machines are consistently well calibrated. I love that they have an almond milk option as well. The staff is always friendly and the shop is always well stocked and clean.

Cielo Coffee is a nice, typical coffee shop. I got the caramel macchiato (since I saw it recommended in someone else’s Unilocal review) and yeah it was good. As someone who can’t really tell quality between coffees, it was a normal kind of coffee house drink experience.
If anything, the music here was pretty cool and the art on the walls is pretty interesting.

It is always a treat to come here… Except early in the morning before all the teeny boppers head to school. It seems to be the go to spot for all the common wealth children of Irvine.

I got the chai latte with almond milk. (Tasted really syrup-​y and artificial like)
The barista was kind and offered to adjust the taste to my liking, but I was too lazy.
The service is great and wonderful.
Seems like a great place for high school and college students to come and study, as the tables are spacious and there are a lot of snack offerings.
Not my favorite coffee shop but not the worst out there.

When coming here I don’t get coffee alone, I would always get them with a bagel.
Most of the time, I would order their Iced Almond latte and sometimes with a pump of Macadamia Nut syrup to sweeten it up. This is probably one of few coffee shops that makes my coffee with not much milk and sugar. So often, I would have to go to the wet bar and fix it up with milk and add packets of brown sugar to my liking. If not done right I would end up with a boring, watered down coffee.
I never leave here without their Jalapeño Cheese Bagel. Its simple and baked with cheddar cheese and jalapeño slices. The only thing with these they have to be heated. But of course I can’t enjoy a bagel without the cream cheese spread.
Their coffees are okay, to me there not too strong nor sweet. When made, the flavoring can be thin without customizing it and you may have to request pumps of syrup. Just by looking at their display counter they do have plenty of coffee syrups to choose from.
Good friendly service here and as of today they have no problem redeeming your Unilocal check-​in 10% off offer.
This place may not be my must go to spot, but when I’m in this part of Irvine, Cielo offers my one-​two combination of iced coffee and bagel.

Caramel macchiato is on point. I can’t believe I’m saying this as a Starbucks gold member– THEY ARE BETTER THAN STARBUCKS.
Sometimes espresso makes my stomach upset, but that doesn’t happen with Cielo’s.
Prices are fair service is great.
I forgot to order my drink upside down, and they offered to re make it! How nice. Everyone that works here is friendly and it is a good quiet place to do work or study.

Great drinks! Great service and they are super nice! Carmel machiatto is awesome! And they have a lot of options. The only bad thing about this place is that it is right next to another amazing coffee shop that’s located inside the farm direct market… So I have to flip a coin every time Im in the area to help me choose between the two.

Being an avid café lover, I love to search various coffee shops around me using Unilocal.
I found Cielo Coffee in the list and decided to try it out! The drink I ordered was Almond Milk Latte, iced. I can definitely taste the bold coffee and the almond milk in the latte. It was a new type of coffee flavor that I’ve never tasted before. It was very refreshing on a hot summer day!
There was only one employee taking care of the cashier and drink orders, but she was very friendly and nice. There were also many cute pastries/​coffee snacks on the counter, like biscottis! I hope to try one next time I visit :)
Like many other Unilocalers have said, the interior design doesn’t really make it look like an average coffee shop. There are metallic chairs, lime green walls, and paint splatter artwork hung on the wall. I’m guessing they were trying to go for a modern look.

I’ve been coming to cielo coffee for several months, as a UCI students and coffee lover this is one of my favorite coffee shops.
They have a wide assortment of fresh coffee every day and free wifi (which actually has great connections as many times I sit and work on my laptop and need Internet).
Usually I order the brewed coffee, but today I ordered the «lava flow» which is a seasonal treat that’s a mixture of piña colada and shaved iced and is a nice refreshing summery treat.
The service here is great. The baristas have great attitudes and the manager is super friendly as well.
Some added bonuses: all the pastries are buy one get one free after 4pm, they have a stamp card (8^th drink is free!) and an extra espresso shot in each drink (so a small has 2 shots instead of only 1)
Definitely recommend this place!

Cielo coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops. This place never fails to be generally quiet when I’m studying here.
There’s bunch of art pieces decorating the wall, which is nice to look at.
The service here is always friend and he baristas are always willing to recommend their favorites.
I’ve tried a variety of things from their shakes, neves, smoothies and coffee.
I don’t like coffee, but I love their coffee shakes. I love their strawberry banana yogurt smoothie, and they add real strawberries and a banana in it. All their shakes are bomb and you can always customize your drinks in anyway. I’ve gotten red bull Italian soda which is just red bull and syrup but I love it when I need to study.
They have a lot of pastry options, where after a certain time, I think 3 or 4 or 5 lol, you can get buy one get one free. Their kouinmaons (I don’t even know how to spell it) is my favorite. Their muffins are great as well. They also make their cookies fresh daily. Also there are sandwich options, where they can toast it and heat it up for you next their retail beverages.
This place is always clean as well.

I really want to like this place since it’s the nearest coffee shop to my work, but for some reason I just can’t. I keep trying my usual favorites, but when I order it from Cielo it tastes totally different — in a bad way. It’s neat that they have a huge row of syrups to choose from, but it makes me wonder if drinks are heavily syrup-​based. That might explain why I’m not a huge fan!
I’ve tried the Hazelnut Latte, Vanilla Latte, etc. It all tastes the same. On the plus side, it’s heavily caffeinated. Considering the pricing, however, I’d much rather make my way to the nearest Coffee Bean :|

I stumbled upon this great little off the beaten path local mom and pop place. It’s great that it serves organic coffee with a variety of other tasty espresso coffee beverages. it’s affordable and is a cool place to read, study or write. it’s not at all noisy but the tables can all get filled up.
I would love to return to this little place, there is plenty of parking since it is located in a shopping center!

In search of a 3^rd wave coffee shop, I passed about this place but never really checked it out. Being possibly the only local coffee shop in Irvine, I finally checked it out. Good thing it’s always better late than never.
Ambiance:
* Parking | The plaza is pretty huge with some eateries, gas station, and a grocery shop but you shouldn’t have trouble with parking.
* Seating | This place can probably seat about 20 people with pair tables and a sofa. I don’t recall any outside seating.
* Feels | For some reason it brings an icy feeling, possibly the blue colors and the metal-​esque like tables and chairs (It screeches as you drag). However there is some pretty cool art and the bathroom is pretty clean. The music was pretty diverse as I heard beat from Top 40 beats, Telepopmusic, and Daft Punk. There are some to-​go stuff if you’re on the go.
Food:
Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte–
My drink was served warm and cinammy. Not too watery and not too thick. This earns my approval.
Customer Service:
* Servers were friendly and quick.
Overall:
* 4 stars. It has the fundamentals of a coffee shop, good drinks, art, and comfortable place to study but this wasn’t exactly the most warmly feel. It is nothing touristy attracting but a must alternative coffee shop for the community. Still I can definitely see myself coming here.
