This place honestly was so blan — it made me resent going to chipotle for 3 months. I used to love chipotle. I used to make that my go to.

There was an ad going on that Chipotle is giving away more free food to it’s customers to try and retain some business. So I went into my nearest Chipotle and see if they were ready to take me back. What did they say? The staff laughed in my face and said no way not true! Well, even if it’s not true, your professionalism should still be there, talk to the customer like an important factor, YOURPAYCHECK. She didn’t even care she hurt my feelings… I still paid for my burrito… But won’t be going back.

I don’t know what it is, but just being a student at UCI and going here makes Chipotle 10x more delicious. Don’t get me wrong, though. I do enjoy Chipotle, but I don’t «love» it back at home and I don’t eat it as much either back at home. But here at UCI, I do eat is quite often.(not like once a week, but on occasion and whenever I feel like eating it.) Last year. I did come here a few times a week toward the end of each quarter’s final week, though. Anyway, enough about me. The portions here at so generous most of the time(way better than back home in San Jose). I always get extra brown rice, no beans, and half chicken and half sofritas. The sofritas, also known as the organic chopped up tofu with a blend of organic spices, simply adds a very unique flavor to the bowl and brown rice when you mix it. I absolutely love it. The chicken adds the meaty protein you need to it, but if you feel like going vegan, just get all Sofritas. I’ve done it a few times, and it’s great! But, I do love half chicken, and half sofritas. I always ask for extra toppings whenever I can, and they’re usually generous about their portions — especially when I ask for extra, extra lettuce. I think my main dilemma is trying to mix my bowl after and not having any toppings/lettuce fall out. Oh well. Consistency here is a bit inadequate, as some days I get little-to-none in my bowl, and some days I get a whole bunch. Although, I still enjoy coming here to eat.

I just experienced terrible service at this location and my food is ridiculous. Be prepared to tell them how to do their job, this location is run by unqualified teenagers.

I order a burrito quesadilla when the line is short… they always refuse to put the corn inside. No other Chipotle flinches at that, much less staunchly insisting that it’ll make the quesadilla soggy(because«it’s a salsa»). On the other hand, they usually actually give me cheese when I say lots of cheese(the others tend to sprinkle a little on… they must think I am saying light on the cheese).

Some of the hardest working people I have ever met work at this establishment. The managers and crew work extra to accommodate the fast-paced environment and 99.9% of the time do it with a smile on their face. 0.01% is left empty because they are humans who work in a hot kitchen. What they do is not easy, but they still do it to the best of their ability and do not get the credit they deserve for their efforts. Shout out to every crew member and manager(and specialist) who has worked lunch or dinner time. It seems beyond stressful and I know half the people who complain on here would not last two days in your shoes. Sometimes the food is not perfect. What do you expect when everything is made fresh EVERYMORNING? The products are non-GMO. Of course there will be impurities in color and texture. That is how fresh food is supposed to be. UCI chipotle, you deserve recognition from your higher ups. UCI would not be the same without you. Thank you for always being there for me when I miss Mexican food and can’t go to Santa Ana. You are a successful place that is taken for granted when all other aspects are ignored by customers. All the success is visible in the smiles of the people who enter your restaurant. :)

I’m here all the time. Mostly right after my class which ends at 10:50. At 11, there are less people :) so I don’t have to wait that long. The people who work here are nice and they always greet me with a smile! This place is tidy and am impressed since its near school… I thought it would be pretty messy but no! Come get yourself a nice salad bowl or burrito!

Horrible service, taco plate was sad. The girl behind the counter never looked up, only saying«what else… what else». The ingredients were thrown on my tacos with no care, and I ended up with a pool of liquid at the bottom of my basket. I will never go to this Chipotle again.

I hope you’re on the UCI debate team if you decide to come here because chances are, you’ll end up having to argue with the employees to get a fair shake. I kid you not, last time there(which will be last time period) I asked for chicken & steak and they gave me 4, yes 4 tiny pieces of steak. When I called the girl out on it she started huffing and puffing. Lol save it. You’re better off buying something from Trader Joes.

This is probably the worst Chipotle I’ve ever experienced. And it’s definitely not the food. Every time I come here, I’m always treated with terrible and/or rude customer service. I’m not expecting you to ask me about my day, but I ask that you don’t ruin it either. I am always afraid to even ask for a tortilla on the side of my bowl because EVERY time I do, the serves always respond with a grimace or an annoyed sigh. I understand that this Chipotle is VERY busy, and I know what it’s like to work in the University Center(Previously worked at the original food-establishment Juggernaut before UTC opened all the new restaurants), but there is no reason to speak to your customers so rudely every time. Try to avoid this specific location as much as possible. Although, I will give an additional star because they are very fast in what they do; they can get through the never-ending line quickly.

This isn’t my favorite Chipotle location, but on the quest for convenience and a burrito bowl near UCI& when you can’t get to the other location on Bison or Culver(or rather not make the trek), when this Chipotle finally opened way back when I was super happy as I assume were many ‘eaters and businessmen/women were as well! It’s pretty much your typical Chipotle experience with the added bonus of lonnnnng lines since this is the closest location within walking distance of the UCI campus & since many students don’t have cars, this is usually their Chipotle of choice. I’ve never had that many problems with service here. The workers are friendly and do their best at accommodating the inescapable lunch/dinner rushes, but they can only do SO much. Just be patient and you’ll get your hands on your Chipotle noms soon enough! But what I wasn’t happy about? Inconsistency in proportions. Sometimes I’ll ask for my extra fixings and then they only would give me a little of it or hardly any, if any at all. For example, I wanted corn and I don’t know why folks but I love me some chipotle corn in my bowls. Also to make matters worse some visits I’ll find myself with more meat, less meat and this inconsistency is what gets me the most because I almost always opt to get steak and that’s one of their pricier meats and you best believe I want my money’s worth. There’s seating inside and outside at this location. But as with any place, during peak hours it’s going to be more difficult then it usually would be to find a seat/tables. TIPS? — Do you want to beat the rush? Order online for pick-up. — Ask for a tortilla or two on the side! If you get a bowl. — Also, yeah I suggest a bowl over a burrito. But that’s just me. I feel like you get more bang for your buck that way. — EXTRARICE.(Also good to note they don’t charge extra for this OR for brown rice but honestly I opt for the white rice) — Get fajitas in your bowl(bell peppers and onions) Yum, yum in my tums. — Add some corn! But if you don’t like onions. Stay clear.

Oh my dearest ol’ Chiperootlay, You were my first and favorite burrito experience. You’ve been there to satisfy my Mexican food cravings to the fullest with your fresh ingredients. You’ve made me smile with your progressive, philosophical, and thought-provoking quotes on your bags. Your ‘Food with Integrity’ policy makes me feel a bit better about eating at a chain. Your hidden menu items(like quesadillas) keep me coming back for more every time, babe. Overall, I don’t care that sometimes your employees don’t evenly distribute the ingredients in my burrito, or if your steak has some chewy inedible pieces included in it every time. I still love you, and I’ll always pay extra for guac.

I always get a chicken bowl with double portion white rice, double pinto, double corn, fajitas, sour cream, lettuce, and cheese. Everything was what you expect. Line gets long no biggie… 5 stars for fresh meat, lettuce, service, perfectly cut limes, view of the evil birds attacking people and feeding on left over food. If you want the aquarium of the pacific bird feeding experience, eat outside! Beware! Trash cans outside have birds inside! They might fly out and attack you! — 1 star for the dirty tables

I did an online/pickup order at this location so didn’t see these negative reviews about the portions until after I placed the order(oops.) Fortunately, I had a positive experience with this location. They were generous(or at least not stingy) with the portions and even though I put in 4 orders, they did not mess anything up. Not to mention they had the order ready to go on time, which is another plus. The restaurant was also pretty empty when I went, which may explain why they could afford to be more generous with the portions.

Chipotle no es un lugar auténtico mexicano, pero su sabor es delicioso. Altamente recomendable si quieres probar algo rápido, original y a tu medida. Tú decides los ingredientes y preparan tu platillo frente a ti. Precio justo y accesible, muy buen trato. Chipotle is not really authentic mexican food, but is very tasty. Highly recommendable if you want to eat fast, original and the way you want it. You get to choose the ingredients and they prepare your food before your eyes. Reasonable and affordable price, great service.

I went for their pre-opening day at noon, where all the workers were basically«practicing» for when it really counted. As soon as I walked in, the employees said«welcome to Chipotle!» Their line was medium(only a few people got in) but it went by really quickly. I had the barbacoa burrito bowl with guacamole, and let’s just say that it didn’t disappoint! The barbacoa wasn’t burnt like it had been in other places and it went by really nice with the rice and sour cream. The guacamole(which was $ 1.90 more), prepared by Chipotle fresh, was awesome and the right taste and texture. There were no pits in my guacamole! Only bad thing is that the space is kinda small(especially since it IS right across from UCI), and that there won’t be many seats for people to sit in. We barely got a seat today, but only a selected handful could get in. And one more thing is that they were mixing up the signal calls(but it was their first day, they’ll get it fixed in a few days). I asked for mild salsa and the employee said something else, said whoops, and re-yelled it again. Very nice service, fast working place. I believe it will do well right across the UCI Campus.
