Baby’s First Nurse

For my second pregnancy, I had many questions about the effects of induction on my baby and how the epidural would affect the baby and breast feeding upon birth and Hoda gave me the best feedback. After one phone call with her, I felt more empowered, reassured and ready to make decisions I was previously uncertain about, much more confidently. Hoda is awesome, makes you feel at ease and her experience is always beneficial, insightful and empowering. I would gladly recommend Baby’s First Nurse to every mother-​to-​be!

yesterday Hoda came to my house and boy was she amazing!!! I got good tips and learned a lot, is only been a day ssince she came but I can already see a difference in my milk supply and my baby got less formula the past 24hrs. :) im very happy with results

Hoda is awesome! She came to my house at 7am on a Sunday morning and spotted a serious health issue before I even realized anything was wrong. My baby was in the nicu by the afternoon and I don’t even want to imagine what would have happened if Hoda hadn’t been there to recommend lab work asap. She has been wonderful through everything and continuously follows up to make sure we’re doing well. Hoda is a very knowledgable and skilled lactation consultant also.

Hoda is someone who I met through good fortune. I was breast feeding my son and had concerns about continuing (how to effectively stop), what to have take in my diet and what was the right choice for me. She makes you feel at ease with your concerns and is well versed with her information. She caters to you about what fits your life style in terms of baby feeding. Next time I have a baby I am calling Baby’s First Nurse.

If you are looking for a lactation consultant, Hoda is the best! I found her services through Unilocal and once again, the other reviews did not steer me wrong. She is very professional and knowledgeable about the entire lactation process.
I was having major challenges with my second child (colic, gassiness, reflux, poor latch) and Hoda came for a home visit. She was the only one to correctly diagnose the issue — my daughter was severely lip tied! Prior to Hoda, I had met with two other lactation specialists, a GI specialist, two pediatricians, been to two chiropractors and had done craniosacral therapy for weeks, all in the hope of figuring out what was wrong. I was at my wits ends! It turns out that a lip (or tongue tie) can severely affect the breastfeeding process and cause lots of other related issues that are often misdiagnosed. Hoda promptly recommended Dr. James Jesse who is a specialist in treating infant lip/​tongue ties. We loved him as well. After the laser procedure, things got much better.
Hoda also helped me tremendously through a nasty bout of mastitis and oversupply challenges. She responded to numerous texts (some pretty frantic) even on a Saturday night! She was literally on call through a very challenging time for me and listened patiently to my hormonal rants. Hoda was always thorough and caring and followed up with me several times to see how things are going. She made herself available on short notice for several phone conversations, which is not easy given she has young kids to care for. It’s obvious that Hoda cares deeply about her clients and she is passionate about empowering mommies to figure out what works for them with breastfeeding. I am so thankful to have met her because even though I was a veteran nurser with my son, I was on the brink of giving up with my daughter.
If I could give Hoda ten stars, I would! She is the best!!! You won’t be disappointed.

Hoda is amazing! She’s located near Irvine now, and she serves in Orange County as well as L.A. Even though she had a lot of clients that week, she made time for me and gave me the attention, advice, and knowledge I needed. I like that she is so knowledgeable about expansive things like nutrition and environmental hazards, things most health care professionals tend to ignore. She went out of her way to get answers and resources for my myriad of questions and concerns!

I am so happy with the service I received from the nurse that visited me, Hoda! She came to my home and was so gentle and patient as I struggled to nurse my 7 day old baby. She showed me various nursing techniques that really made nursing so much easier. I’m a mother of 3 and my two toddlers were also around when Hoda was assisting me– she was so kind to them and spoke to them with respect and interest; they love her! I really like Hoda’s style: she gave me advice and guided me in a very friendly, non-​judgemental manner. After her visit she called to check on my baby and how the nursing was going. I can’t sing her praises enough; 5 star service all the way.

Hoda is awesome for so many reasons! I was having trouble breastfeeding and she came to my home and taught me various ways to nurse, and took the time to answer all of my questions. She is very supportive, encouraging, and easy to talk to which made the difficult process of nursing comfortable.
After her house visit, I continued to ask her for lactation advice and general newborn medical questions. With her experience as a pediatric nurse, she talked to me about certain medications I was concerned about taking while breastfeeding and answered questions I had regarding dairy allergies and acid reflux. Once my daughter projectile vomited and I immediately texted Hoda out of concern. She quickly called me back to answer my questions and qualm my anxiety.
Hoda provides holistic advice and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does which was really refreshing to me in a time when doctors rush through appointments; often making patients feel like a number rather than a human being. I definitely recommend Baby’s First Nurse to anyone seeking lactation advice!

I was a MESS with my baby – he had sleep issues and nursing issues and I of course had hormonal issues and mental issues when I first brought him home! It made such a difference to talk things over with Hoda and use her advice! She never made me feel crazy or stupid (even though i’m sure I was both during that first year!) She responded within a couple hours to my messages and would talk to me for as long as I needed. Trust me ladies – you need someone like Hoda on your side, especially when it seems like everyone gives conflicting advice and you’re terrified of permanently damaging your new baby. She’s balanced, calm, totally accessible, and a great resource of information AND wisdom. Highly recommend – almost makes me want to have a second baby! Almost.

I attended a Breastfeeding Seminar that Hoda was a hosting while pregnant with my first son and she was incredibly informative and eager to relay both the scientific and medical aspect to nursing as well as the emotional and spiritual bond it forms (which I thoroughly appreciated!).
After I actually had my son, I ended up struggling with breastfeeding and she was literally on-​call whenever I had a question, was confused, overwhelmed or simply needed someone to listen as I hormonally sobbed over the phone. She always had helpful tips, advice on literature to read and would not hesitate to make a house-​call out to visit my son and I.
I have yet to meet someone as knowledgeable and eager to help and empower mommys as Hoda. Would highly recommend her for first-​time mommys and seasoned mommys alike (we all need help from time to time!)

My wife and I called for help breastfeeding our newborn. Hoda is an excellent pediatric nurse. She has two young boys and gives you both her personal and professional expertise that she passes on in a very calm, reassuring manner. She’s reliable and has a genuine concern for us as new parents. Thanks to Hoda, we’ve come a long way and have gained the confidence and knowledge we needed as new parents. Our boy is nearly three months old now and is doing great!
