The food is excellent! I called in an order last week and it took twice as long as they said it would but it was worth the wait.

My «white pizza» experience I called on a Saturday night and spoke to an Italian gentleman on the phone so I figured I was in good hands. I asked for a half white & half regular pizza to which he was confused. I said, «you know what a half white pizza is right?» To which he replied no. I was baffled, after all, every pizza joint I’ve ever known has known what I was referring to. So I explained to him — it’s just basically the pie, white sauce and some large dollops of ricotta. He said«ah yes, ok» so at that point I ascertained we had a mutual understanding. What I received 35 min later was a pizza with half plain burnt cheesish material(I’m not sure what kind of cheese it was but it was burnt and awful). The other regular red sauce was actually pretty good. I would’ve ordered again if it wasn’t for what happened on the white side, which my GF only eats and basically ate the crust because she was so hungry and the rest of the white was so inedible.

The pizza and salad for lunch was excellent! I had a slice of cheese pizza with a good, fresh salad. The pizza was medium crust loaded with cheese… instead of tomato sauce underneath the cheese, it had bbq sauce! This was interesting and very good. I’ll have to try their pasta next time. Thumbs way up for Ameci!

Their pizza is delicious & they are quick with delivery, however the last order I placed was a mess. It seemed as if the Delivery Driver was in a rush! The Meatballs we had was hard like a rock as well. Disgusting! I called and complained, but no Manager ever got back to me.

Fast and friendly service. The pizza is yummy and I especially like that they offer the jumbo NY style pizza slices — which is hard to come by here in Irvine. Plus when I eat here, I know that I’m supporting a local business, so that’s a definite plus!

I’m back… The owner offered to replace the pizza from last time… So I decided to take him up on his offer… The key thing here is customer service…

Food poisoning! Thought about trying something new to eat so me and my girlfriend decided to stop by this location. Ordered the Alfredo chicken and the lasagna around 6pm and we both ended up feeling sick that same night. The food was ok so we had only finished about half of each item so I brought some home for leftovers. The next day decided to reheat the pasta thinking that it couldn’t have been the ameci food that got us sick, well guess again. Had the leftovers and felt sick the whole entire day. Couldn’t eat or drink anything else throughout the day. I couldn’t even sleep without having to make a trip to the restroom every 15 min for the entire night. Never coming to this restaurant again! Stay away!

So delicious!!! My hubby loves the lasagna. We ordered the half cheese half(build your own) I added meatballs, tomatoes, garlic, pepperoni, and basil. It’s like a margarita with pepperoni and meatballs. Soooooo good!!! This is now my new favorite!

This is a small seemingly family owned restaurant. I just stopped by for something quick to eat. I ended up ordering the chicken fettuccini Alfredo. The portion was more than enough for me and it came with a very good amount of garlic bread. The Alfredo sauce was a little bland, but if I had some salt and pepper to add it would’ve tasted good. The food deserves 3 stars. The reason I give this place 4 stars is because I give 5 stars for customer service. I can tell the people who run this business are genuinely good people. They are loud but that’s nothing bad. Anyways, a guy walked in looking for a job. He came with a bike and clearly looked tired from the heat. Although they couldn’t give him a job, one of the employees asked if he wanted some iced water because he looked like he was thirsty and tired. The guy was really appreciative and I thought that going out of his way to think of the guy was really great. Also, I was sitting in the little dessert café next door to this place and I saw this guy sprinting after some woman in an electric scooter. I was intrigued and kept watching. I figured out that she had forgotten her purse in the restaurant and one of the employees sprinted out to the main road to give her purse back. I wasn’t going to write a review on this place because the food was meh and I was in and out within 10 minutes, but after seeing the character of these people I felt like I had to review. I would definitely go back and try something else off their menu to support this business. These may seem like small things but really, it’s the small things in life that count and I want to support good people who are willing to go out of their way for others. I recommend you go try this place. Their pizza looks good and they have a good deal for 2 slices of cheese pizza and a drink for like $ 4. They are good, honest people.

Pizza is ok. Wings were ordered mild and they were so spicy that they burned my lips. The blue cheese is watery — ugh! They advertise served with celery and carrots they did not deliver the celery and carrots. Disappointed!

This place is complete garbage. Calling this place was not an option, they couldn’t speak English and sounded short tempered. I thought it was no big deal, I’ll just drive down there and save myself the trouble of paying overpriced delivery. The place must have been busy with delivery, I didn’t have to wait in line and placed my order without any trouble. Since it was impossible for me to order over the phone, I had time to sit around and watch the workers sweat profusely. I guess it was the owner who was giving me a dirty look, I’m not sure what his problem was but that’s the last thing you should be doing to any of your customers. Eventually my order was up, and he basically tossed the box at me and turned away. I tried to be optimistic about it, maybe he just had to take a massive shit and figured I wouldn’t be intimidated by him. Due to his behavior I left without checking my order, which was a complete mistake on my part. The pizza was completely burnt, so bad that they couldn’t even slice it. I actually picked the entire pizza up and broke it in half, and the whole time knowing it was impossible for any of the workers to neglect this mistake. This had to be intentionally done, if I didn’t have my windows down on the drive home I would have assumed my car was on fire. So, you win, you can keep my money and I won’t come back. I’ve read these reviews and it appears the owner is the problem because there’s no excuse for anything that horrible to be served to anyone. It was also the first time I’ve ever tossed out a pizza that sounded like chunks of plywood when it landed in the trash.

The food was descent for the price. The portions are pretty big. I would recommend sharing pasta and bread plates. Marinara sauce and garlic cheese bread rolls are bomb.

The short of it: — serves pizza, pasta, salads — dine-in, pick-up or delivery — delivery on weekends can be a long wait — inexpensive — located across from Weinershitnzel — Favs: stuffed shells, meatbals The long of it: I haven’t had Ameci’s in a long long time, but when I was craving some pasta for take-out I decided to try this place out. I was surprised by their large selection of pasta. Usually they are known for their pizza, but I never had the opportunity to try out any of their pastas. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty my stuffed shells were, the marinara was good, shells had a delicious cheesy filling and it was a huge portion. I added a side of meatballs and it was the best decision, those meatballs were GOOD. I liked that my pasta came with garlic bread too and it was perfect for dipping in the marinara sauce. On a weekend afternoon the delivery wait time was 1 hour! So make sure to order ahead before you are super hungry or you can always drop by and pick it up. Definitely a good alternative to other pizza places and especially since they have a large menu to choose from.

Felt like updating my review, I haven’t had food from here in ages and decided to host a little party for a friend. One friend goes one way to get the cake, another goes the other to get some decorations, then another goes to get all of the adult beverages, while I stayed home and ordered the food. I ordered 3 pizzas, wings, some spaghetti, stuffed shells and some bread sticks just to tide anyone over if more people showed up. I won’t complain about the time, it was busy and almost took an hour but it was also a large order and it gave us time to decorate. The pizzas were the first to go, nobody bothered using a plate, they grabbed their slices and only reached for a few paper towels. This wasn’t my party so I just blended in with everybody else and enjoyed a slice. The party was going well and I ended up losing track of time, which was when I noticed almost everything was gone. Normally I would have been worried but everybody had their fair share of food, and I noticed the stuffed shells were untouched. I’ve never had these before, at least from Ameci, so I gave it a try. It turns out that I like the stuffed shells more than the spaghetti, these were amazing and a few of those full guests ended up making room for more food. It was quite the pleasant little party, excellent food to satisfy the guests. Some people might complain that the order took about an hour, but I believe they needed the time to make everything just right. Everybody had a great time, I’ve always recommended Ameci’s after other great experiences with this restaurant. I would only complain about a few guests of mine who made the patio smell like a Cypress Hill concert, but that’s a different story. It was a successful event, which wouldn’t have been possible without all the good food, will order more in the near future.

I haven’t personally encountered the owner here… so I can’t relate to the other disappointed Unilocalers. But in terms of the food, out of the 3 times I’ve had Ameci, their pizza is good(not bad), but the pasta with meat sauce is great! I don’t know why, but I always crave their spaghetti with meat sauce!

My first 1 star review. The owner is an A hole, reminded me of the Soup Nazi. «No pizza for you!!!» I def would never come to this establishment since he doesn’t want you as a customer. Good luck.

Came to this shopping center few days ago randomly and the thought of pizza sounded pretty good at the time. Saw the poster on the wall for 2 pizzas and a drink for I think 3.99 or 4.99, the owner said they didn’t have any slices available at that time because it was 9 oclock and they close at 10 pm. Okay understandable. I was nearby again today and decided to give it another try since I love pizza. I went in and told the owner I wanted that deal on the poster but he said they didn’t have it. The poster clearly says 2 pizza and drink for 3.99 or 4.99, I forgot, and from 10 am to 4 pm. It was 3pm at the time. I asked him what was the reason he didn’t have it and he said, «it’s my business I run it how I want it.» What the f, I’ve never seen any business owner as rude as this a-hole. If this is how they run a business in a city like Irvine then I hope they close down and allow a more respectable owner to open business.

Solely reviewing the pizza. I usually can put down 2 – 3 slices of pizza but I was struggling to finish my 2nd slice! Not sure if its b/c of the size of the pizza he ordered but these slices were hefty! My dad got ½ Hawaiian & ½ Pesto Chicken. The Hawaiian pizza had a ton of pineapples on it which was definitely a plus because I loooove pineapples! The ham slices were pretty big too. The sweetness of the pineapples and the saltiness of the ham paired really well together because they evened them both out. The Pesto Chicken pizza had pesto sauce with chicken breast, mozzarella cheese and onions. This one was just okay. I kinda had higher expectations on this one because I loove pesto but something was just off. The chicken was a bit dry… and as much as I love onions, it just did not pair well with the pesto in my opinion. Maybe that was what was off about the pizza? Not sure. Either way, I’d say. go for the hawaiian!

I’ve spent far too much money here in a very short period of time. During the summer program at my prep academy, the students toil over mountains of torturous vocabulary and endless math equations alongside oceans of grammar drills. It’s a wonder how they get through it all, but get through it they did, and in the end, they deserve something for their efforts. This year, it was Ameci. The guys here took good care of me and my students. Orders were taken with careful attention(certain students had dietary restrictions due to allergies or religion) and deliveries were made on time. When ordering, the clerk realized that I was ordering several pizzas with basic toppings, so he pointed out a special they were advertising which would save me a considerable amount of money. I really appreciated that. Service was good and friendly. Pizzas tasted great. Not too heavy. Not too boring. Yeah, it’s a bit(very) expensive but it’s better than Papa John’s and it’s still cheaper than Lamppost. I’d say to NOT order the wings since mine came out burned and over sauced and inedible. I had two and threw the rest in the trash. Sad. Dough is chewy but not aggravating. Crust holds together. Toppings are generously given. Some people might prefer a heavier taste with more salt, oil, grease, or whatever, but I appreciate finding a place which doesn’t need to overload its customers with sodium and fat and whatever else masks the flavors of the ingredients and possibly the quality. Thanks Ameci. You’re definitely on my go-to list.
