My cousin’s kid got married at a venue that uses this caterer. It was a Persian and El Salvadorean wedding, and they chose Persian food. I was shocked at how good the food was, given that it was not a Persian caterer – it is a very difficult, ancient, and precise cuisine. Well done!

As a wedding coordinator, it was a dream to work with Jessica and the 24 Carrots Catering Team at The Colony House! We were able to communicate quickly through email to make sure everything was set for our bride and groom.
The ceremony space was quickly flipped into the reception set-​up during the cocktail hour and I have to say that Jessica and the 24 Carrots team are pros at getting this set-​up in a timely manner. It was very organized and set-​up well.
The 24 Carrots Catering team prepared delicious food for the guests. The bride and groom wanted a buffet line and the 24 Carrots Team was able to dismiss tables quickly in 2 lines to expedite food service. Guests were fed promptly and they enjoyed the food! As a coordinator, the set-​up and the food service could not have gone more smoothly, which means our timeline runs according to plan.
It was a pleasure to work at The Colony House with the 24 Carrots Catering Team and I look forward to the next wedding and event here!

I stumbled upon 24 Carrots as I was looking for a more premium catering service for a couple of lunches we wanted to have at our office. While speaking with one of their event specialists, Sarah, she was not only able to provide the premium catering services for our corporate lunches but she also gave me some venue ideas for 2 evening events we wanted to host.
Through Sarah and 24 Carrots, we were able to host a beautiful private dinner at Rancho Las Lomas as well as a fun Wine & Paint event at the Chuck Jones Center.
Sarah was very easy to work with and provided solutions to whatever curveball I threw at her. Craft beers instead of the standard selection — no problem. Add another guest — no problem. Last minute guest cancellations — no problem.
What I particularly liked about working with Sarah at 24 Carrots was her responsiveness. I would email her with details/​questions and she would respond right back — often within minutes and certainly by the next morning.
We had 24 Carrots do four meals for our group — 2 corporate lunches, 1 dinner and 1 cocktail reception. For the lunches, I really appreciated that they came and set up the buffet each day (and cleaned up afterward — allowing us to focus on our meetings instead. For the dinner, we had plated entrees served.
And I haven’t even written about the food yet! My guests commented on how tasty and fresh the food was each time. They use more premium ingredients than the standard restaurants and you can taste the difference. For our dinner, the presentation is similar to that of fine dining restaurants and hotels — very impressive.
I will definitely use 24 Carrots again when the need arises again in the future.

THE BEST! 24 Carrots catered our food at the Colony House for our wedding reception. To simply put it, they’re the best. Great food, great service, great team. Nicole Gagnon was the person who we worked with and she was great. Very accommodating to our needs at our wedding. Definitely recommend 24 Carrots for any event!

THE VERY BEST! We just had our annual holiday party this past weekend. I had never catered it before and was a little nervous. I checked out several catering companies and selected 24 Carrots. It was an easy decision — plus every time I told anyone who was doing my catering they all said «Yes, they are awesome — you are really doing a nice party!!». I worked with Sarah and couldn’t have been in better hands. She was super helpful in every way and always available for any questions. She was in contact with me right up to the event. The day of the party — I am usually stressed getting everything done. This time — I was stress free — had a most enjoyable day that led to a great evening
Oh — and let me say — the food was FABULOUS! My guests are still raving about it! All night — «wow this is amazing» «sooo yummy» «I’m not leaving until it’s all gone» :):):)

Can’t say enough about my experience with them. Nicole was so pleasant and accommodating with my needs. My girlfriends and I used their services for a small baby shower in my family’s neighborhood. Not the biggest order I’m sure, but Nicole really made it all work seamlessly and kept the cost reasonable for what was provided. It was a beautiful day, mom to be was soooo happy with the food and décor, and I was glad I didn’t have to clean up anything! I would recommend to any friend or family member.

My wedding was catered by 24 carrots. My guests still bring up how amazing the food was. I’m so glad we decided to do a late night menu. Around 10 pm while everyone was dancing up a storm, trays of yummy cheeseburgers and banana shakes floated around. I just wish I would’ve actually had time to eat it myself!

My sister had her tasting with 24 carrots as they are the exclusive vendor at rancho las lomas venue and we know why, they are awesome! The food was excellent. They want your genuine opinions and are looking for input on how they can improve their dishes (not much room for improvement as everything was delicious). The staff is very professional and well educated about their products. They were able to answer all of our questions and address any needs we had. The wasabi mash potato beef appetizer was amazing. The mash was creamy and the beef sauce was sweet and the two paired together were perfect. The chicken baklava skewers were so different from anything we have ever had before I think it will really add to the wedding. Lastly, I don’t like salmon but 24 carrots really changed my view on that. The salmon wasn’t fishy and wasn’t dry. The sauce they paired it with gave the salmon a little something with a hint of dill. Delicious. Can’t wait to have lots more of it at her wedding!

I’m not writing as a bride or anything, but as a guest. I tried their food for a wedding recently and was surprised at the lack of consistency in their food. When we got refills of a certain food item, it would not taste the same. Hmm.
I got to try: tri tip, salad, pumpkin ravioli, couscous brussel sprouts, potato gratin, and tomato mozzarella. The salad was good but there was a lot of dressing, so much that it masked the flavor of a lot of the other toppings such as cheese and pecans. The honey was a nice touch and it was my favorite dish that I stuck to all night. The tri tip was also cooked well and the onion straws were a nice complement to the dish.
As far as the truly positive dishes, that’s all. The rest was either bland (brussel sprouts) or super salty (potato gratin) and I only tried them once to know that I did not want to pick at them again.
The appetizers going around in the beginning were good too, but nothing amazing. The sliders are a bit big for one person and a lot of us ended up sharing halves.
The staff, however, regardless of the food, was amazing and so professional and courteous.

I worked with Amanda Ellison on a large scale corporate event a few weeks ago and it was flawless! After searching all over Socal I came across 24 Carrots and was so impressed with their help and follow through. Amanda really made our event come to life, she was very easy to work with and made any adjustment needed to make our event perfect! I can’t wait to work with her again !!

DO NOT PLAN YOUR WEDDING WITH THEM. SERVICE WITH THEM is HORRIBLE. When we went to go see the Chuck Jones Venue the coordinator was eating while showing us the place and was like well this is all. When I asked for the price to show my fiancé the details she said «I emailed it to you» SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. With that being said I tried to reach out to her bosses to let them know I was still interested but would like to work with someone else. He looked over the contract and said I’m sorry she made an error and it’ll be 2k more! I asked if he can honor her price and he said no that it’s too much of a loss for them!

I know I know… almost a year after the wedding and I’m finally writing an update. Since I’ve been getting messages from fellow Unilocaler brides, I thought I’d update my experience. Yes, we did book them for our wedding in October 2014. Best decision ever! :)
But I just wanted to say that 24C really is a 5 star caterer. Being the foodie I am, I’m so glad we had them for our wedding. I wish I had pictures of the displays on the day of, but I was a little preoccupied and running around all day. lol But everyone raved about the food, drinks were plentiful, and the staff was just amazing.
Only drawbacks on the day of that stick out:
–They ran out of our signature drink because I think they ran out of blueberries. It sure was a hit on that hot October day. Shows how awesome it was!
–We were so stuffed with appetizers and running around during the wedding, we didn’t get to completely enjoy our meal, dessert, and coffee. I forgot to ask the head waiter to box our plates at least. We did get some leftovers which we did enjoy at the after party in our room. Ha mostly carrots and fish.
–It may have been the season, but the fish was different the day of the wedding. We ordered halibut, but what I had was not that. Or at least it just did not taste like it at all because it was more flaky. This was the dish I was looking forward to the most. The one at the wedding was not the same buttery goodness I had during our tasting. If it was different, 24C did not inform me. Maybe my wedding coordinator? I don’t know. Meh. Is there somewhere I can order just that? :D
Overall, they are still a great caterer to work with from beginning to end. They are quick and responsive and definitely give you the 5 star experience. They are a little on the higher end, but you get what you pay for. And we enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you 24 Carrots!

We used 24 Carrots for our pre-​wedding party this past weekend (essentially a boozy reception w/​out the formalities of the sit down eating and speech agenda) before we are to go to our destination wedding. The lady who helped us Sarah was incredibly responsive and personable, and easily accommodated our desires to do a travel themed food options (while accommodating my fiancé/husband’s food whims). It’s a pretty substantial menu and seems like they can make everything so it’s definitely challenging to choose! Because we’re procrastinators and was looking for a caterer pretty soon before the party, we weren’t able to do any tastings. But normally, you can coordinate this if it’s at least a few weeks before the event date.
With that being said, we took a chance w/​24 Carrots and everything was actually pretty amazing tasting. The jambalaya and banana bread pudding (made with croissants!) w/​bourbon caramel sauce were particular hits. We estimated about 50 people, which we ended up having closer to 60, however there was still a good amount of leftovers (which they left some to go boxes). We also had drop off and pick up service, which was very prompt. Highly recommend!

I’ve had a long dialog with the owner of 24 Carrots… and I must now amend my previous review.
There are times when servicing your customer, giving them exactly what they ask for, hurts. I know this… when I owned my Marketing Agency I had plenty of customers who I couldn’t talk out of doing things they shouldn’t.
24 Carrots served us Sliders for graduation… they were cooked off site and then shipped to the school and served. That made the hockey pucks at least 3 hours old by the time we got them… it was exactly as the school wanted despite 24 Carrots strong suggestion otherwise. Even McDonalds doesn’t serve burgers which are that old.
So, how do you service a long term customer, giving them exactly what they asked for, including the peas, knowing it’s going to make you look bad? You do it.
Why am I changing my 1-​star meal to a 4-​star review when the meal was the same, you wonder?
Because of Jon, the owner of 24 Carrots. Anyone who cares as much as he did to talk to me about my review, his menu, his company, and how it came to pass obviously cares about customer service and that, my friends, is everything in this business.
Congratulations on a nice save… now you need to convince your clients to change their perspective. Food can make or break a catered event.

Outstanding service, phenomenal food and extraordinary presentation is what 24 Carrot says it wants to deliver to its customers. For our daughter’s wedding in April of 2015, they did just that. Our experience working with 24 Carrot began with planning the event with the Event Design Specialist, Shelby. We had a definite budget and a list of wishes. Shelby worked with us to turn those wishes into reality and still keep within our budget. With my daughter and her fiancé living in NYC, scheduling tastings were a bit difficult. Shelby was very accommodating in meeting our needs.
We chose an 18 Carrot plated meal. A frequent comment from our guests was that the food was outstanding. For appetizers we had the Ahi Spoon Slaw, Sundried Tomato Stuffed Artichoke Hearts, Bern Sliders and Brie and Mango puff pastry. Our salad was the Compressed Arugula Salad (my favorite part of the meal). For an entrée, our guest chose between Blackened red snapper and Tri-​tip beef. This was served with the grilled vegetable quinoa salad and roasted asparagus. For desert, we had a variety of the mini-​desserts, all delicious!
The staff was dressed in smart black outfits. All were polite and helpful to our guests. Upon arriving to the venue, our guests were greeted by the wait staff with drinks on trays. Appetizers were tastefully presented on trays. You almost didn’t want to take one and disturb the presentation. We had 175 guests for a plated meal. Once we sat down, servers seem to come out of the nowhere to efficiently deliver the food to our tables. 24 Carrot knew the right number of servers to have for the day. No one felt as if they were waiting an undue amount of time to receive their food. The desert table was as pretty to look at as it was delicious to eat.
I would highly recommend 24 Carrot to anyone planning a wedding feast.

Let me start by saying that after diving into the wedding planning process and reading reviews, I was quite determined to select a venue by 24 Carrots and I’m SO GLAD I did. I am not one that was particularly excited about the planning process and 24 Carrots made everything extremely smooth and pleasant. We chose to hold our reception at the Colony House and it was absolutely perfect for us. The cocktail hour was outside and the dinner and festivities were inside. I wanted a venue that was warm and inviting and really geared towards everyone having a great time without feeling stuffy or too serious – Colony House allowed for just that!
We worked with Nicole who could not have been more awesome! She was extremely accessible and responded to any questions in a timely manner. It’s stressful time with so many moving parts but my mind was always at ease with Nicole and the 24 Carrots staff. We had several special requests to work around some food allergies in our families – there was no problem or complaints about these special accommodations.
Now the food – We ended up selecting the 18K package with worked well for us. We went with the chicken baklava lollipops, caprese skewers, brie with mango chutney in puff pastry, and braised short rib and brie; compressed salad; and entrée choice of tri tip, grouper with mango salsa, or spaghetti squash succotash (I think that’s what it’s called). We also had late night snacks of sliders (which I was told by more than one person were the best sliders they’ve ever had) and grilled cheese with tomato soup shooter. Dessert was a variety of mini desserts – key lime tart, chocolate pot de crème, salted caramel tarts, cheesecake, and crème brûlée spoons. We have VERY picky eaters in our family and to my surprise, everyone loved the food! The integrity of the food is not lost from the tasting to the event, which was hugely important to us. My husband and I both love to eat and this is so often a place people are let down by «wedding food.» Fear not! The food holds up!
Bonus, they accept credit card so you can rack up those points or miles! Might as well get something back :)
I will definitely be using 24 Carrots for all of my future catering needs.

They catered our wedding on April 19 2015 and they were unbelievably amazing! The servers followed my bridal party as we took pictures and served us alcohol & burger sliders as we took our pictures! Shelby Honeycutt was the one who arranged everything for us and I am very happy the way everything turned out! She communicated with us months prior to our wedding and accommodated all our needs that needed to be met! Very professional!
Shane was in charge the day of the wedding & everything ran smooth! Get the BBQ sliders & stuffed dates as your Hors d’oeuvres ! It was mouth watering delicious and our guests couldn’t stop ranting about it!

Crispy Pork Belly appetizer: I adored the crispy skin and subtle Asian flavors. It contrasted nicely with the pickled red cabbage.
Kumquat Shooter was refreshing and light. It was perfect as a palate cleanser for the next course.
Oxtail and Truffle Cappuccino contained oxtail consommé, braised beef, whipped truffle butter and a mini truffle biscotti. This is definitely a trick for your taste buds! Your eyes tell you it’s going to be dessert-​like but the oxtail soup was the utmost essence of beef with a chunk of beef and truffle at the bottom. The biscotti added a bit of texture and slight sweetness. Creative presentation!
Pan-​Seared Sea Scallops and Radish Carpaccio contained slightly pickled shaved radishes, cauliflower purée, blood orange and citrus emulsion. The scallops were perfectly cooked, a little on the rare side, just the way I like it. The blood orange had just the right amount of sweetness. You could definitely taste it without overwhelming the natural sweetness of the scallops. I would have preferred the cauliflower purée to be a bit chunky versus smooth.
Bourbon Blood Orange Cocktail with Fresh Ginger was paired with the Pan-​Seared Sea Scallops and Radish Carpaccio. It was refreshing and took full advantage of the brightness and sweetness of the blood oranges.
«Hot Rocks» Yuzu-​Chimichurri Kobe Beef was served with a hot ishiyaki stone one a bed of sea salt and cooked tableside. I experienced this concept before at Uchiko in Austin, TX. It’s a fabulous presentation. I’m not a big fan of combining beef and citrus, but liked the creativity that went into the presentation. I would definitely stick with just salt and/​or a standard chimichurri with the beef. I nibbled on the kumquat garnish as a palate cleanser for the next course.
Braised Lamb Gnocchi contained roasted butternut squash and sautéed kale with red wine braised lamb, spinach gnocchi, and goat cheese. The lamb was braised to perfection. The gnocchi was a bit heavy but the flavor matched well with the goat cheese. The kale was expertly sautéed to a state similar to sautéed spinach with no bitter flavor left behind.
Meyer Lemon-​Cherry Salmon contained smoked king salmon, fricassee of baby vegetables, and aji amarillo citrus sauce. The presentation under a smoky dome was the highlight of this dish. The dome was removed in a swirling motion so the smoke spired up in the air from the dish. The salmon itself didn’t have much of smoky flavor and was a little overcooked for my taste. A little Himalayan salt might have brought out a little more flavor from the salmon. The sauce was too sweet for the salmon, but would have been really good on a pork dish.
Crispy Duck Breast served with citrus infused demi glaze, sautéed wild hedgehog mushrooms, and dauphinoise potatoes. The duck had a nice flavor and the citrus infused demi glaze worked well with the duck. The dauphinoise potatoes were fantastic! I loved the crispy cheese crust.
White Chocolate Citrus Cake contained lemon cream, blood orange mousse, pistachio crumble, raspberry sorbet, and candied pistachios. It was a napoleon of sorts — wonderfully light and citrusy. The sauce had a little too much of a bitter bite, but was fortunately overshadowed by the sweetness and creaminess of the dessert itself. The raspberry sorbet was bright and tasted just like fresh raspberries.
