Nancy began her training in the recycling industry through the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s Recycling Marketing Development Department. She joined the Recycling Industry Group, now known as the South Carolina Recycling Council (SCRC) in February 2009. The SCRC is a cluster under the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness, New Carolina.

As chair of the Joint Marketing Committee of the SCRC, Nancy led the initiative «RecyclonomicsSC, Small Changes. Big Returns» with a mission to grow South Carolina’s recycling economy by:
