History
Established in 1996.
Duraclean has been solving problems and creating happy customers for more than eight decades. We can trace our beginnings back to Racine, Wisconsin. Duraclean was established in 1930, by Irl Marshall Sr. as «The Home Service Company,» a business opportunity. The safe and very effective cleaning solution for fine rugs and upholstery that Mr. Marshall developed became the foundation of The Home Service Company’s continued growth both in recognition
and customer satisfaction. After much success, Mr. Marshall moved the company from Racine to Deerfield, Illinois in 1938 and expanded both office and warehouse space.
In the mid-1940s, Mr. Marshall changed the name of The Home Service Company to Duraclean International and changed from a Business Opportunity to a Business Format Franchise utilizing his patented process for cleaning fine fabrics. Randy and Noveita Roe, owners of Duraclean in Irmo, SC have just finished their second consecutive year as the #1 franchise in Duraclean franchise system in sales. Duraclean International, Inc. is the oldest franchisor of cleaning and disaster restoration franchises and has been in continuous operation since 1930.
Randy and Noveita are no strangers to winning awards. They have consistently placed high in annual sales contests and have achieved seven «President’s Circle Awards» for exceeding their annual sales quotas as established by Duraclean International. They are also winners of the prestigious International Franchise Association’s «Distinguished Service Award» (formerly called the «Franny Award»). This is the highest award that can be presented to a franchise that represents all the good qualities that a franchise can exhibit. Randy and Noveita are part of a franchise network covering 35 U.S. states and 6 foreign countries.
