History

Established in 2012.

River’s Bend has been a B&B for 15+ years and as of 2012 is under new management. Offering four luxury rooms, including 2 suites, all rooms with private bath, and full, home-​cooked breakfast. The River’s Bend sets on ¾ acres above the palisades of the Iowa River, overlooking the town of Iowa Falls. All grounds and porches are available to guests, as well as a library, parlor, living room, dining room, and billiards room. Built in 1902 this Greek revival Victorian home has beautiful Iowa oak molding and staircase and features leaded glass windows. Where classic elegance meets modern convenience.

Business Owner

A Buffalo, NY native, I came to Iowa in 1979 to begin a graduate program in forestry. A former teacher, professor, US Forest Service Program Manager, and Tribal Administrator, I currently own and operate the River’s Bend. I have furnished the River’s Bend with collections I have built over a lifetime and create delicious breakfast meals from tried and true family recipes.
