Patrick Yoerger L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., MT worked as a licensed massage therapist providing pain and stress relief in Iowa City beginning in 2004 before practicing acupuncture and tui na (massage) in Iowa City and his experience shows in his unique hands-​on treatments which integrate Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and tui na massage with a modern understanding of chronic and acute pain. Patrick is an expert in identifying and eliminating myofascial trigger points, which can cause pain and dysfunction of joints, using tools such as acupuncture, tui na (massage), gua sha (muscle scrapping/​stripping), and cupping. Patrick also uses these treatment modalities to treat the wide range of diseases, conditions, and symptoms considered to be effectively treated with acupuncture and tui na by the World Health Organization: allergies, nausea and vomiting, headaches, depression, anxiety, facial pain and temporomandibular pain, periarthritis of the shoulder, post operative pain, sciatica, and sprains

Patrick Yoerger L.Ac. earned his Master of Acupuncture degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University In 2014. This 118 credit hour graduate program is typically completed in about 4 years of study.
