Kristen & Lisa are very friendly & good with both pets & people so it’s easy to get settled when they’re at the front counter (as they always are). I’ve seen two vets with our two dogs and two cats, both handled our animals with professional care. I even learned a better way to coax my tabby into his carrier. He walked right into it. The animals are comfortable here, which says a lot. None of our pets like going to the vet’s office, but All Pets is different for them. Easier. Smaller. Friendlier. Remember though, call to cancel (it’s only courtesy anyway!) there’s a no-​show fee if you don’t. I’ve never been charged but they warn about it on your invoice. Another good thing is that they estimate for services in writing before scheduling procedures. They don’t recommend unnecessary care or medications. And, best & most important of all, my pets get better under their care.

Drs. Zimmerman and Graettinger have helped us through many years of routine care visits, injuries, long-​term serious illnesses and just about anything and everything you could encounter with a dog. Through it all, the doctors have shown our dogs first-​rate care, sincere compassion, and outstanding professional expertise. When several of our corgis needed ACL surgical repair, they referred us to the veterinary school at Ames. The follow-​up All Pets gave was excellent. One of our sweet girls developed a serious genetic illness recently. The doctors treated her like they would one of their own. You could not ask for better, kinder treatment.
The staff is universally friendly and always happy to help. They are animal lovers who will treat your pet as a friend. Whenever we travel, we are always confident to leave the dogs here. We get health updates when necessary and have peace of mind knowing the dogs will be well taken care of in our absence.
We came here because a long-​time Iowa City vet we were seeing at that time was incredibly insensitive had the receptionist tell us our first dog had cancer and not long to live as we were paying the bill at the front desk. He didn’t even tell us that news himself! People need compassion, too, not just their pets, and we knew we needed to find better care for our very sick dog. We found it at All Pets and have never regretted our decision for a minute.

I liked this place at first, as the doctors seemed very nice and friendly. However, my cat had fleas and after trying 3 different medicines they made me buy, they finally recommended one that I had to go to a pharmacist for which was ¼ the cost of the other medicines!!! THESE PEOPLE JUST WANT TO MAKE MONEY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
