History

Established in 2004.

In the early 1950’s our grandparents purchased the main house, and named it Helen’s House after my grandmother. It was a vacation home and they regularly brought us, their grandchildren, summers and holidays to enjoy Tomales Bay State Park, and later the Point Reyes National Seashore. In 1959, they built Hi House, a studio glass home elevated off the ground. They wanted to disturb the environment as little as possible and allow nature into the home. Hi House was featured in the August 1961 Sunset magazine as one of the 10 best vacation homes of the year. Friends have always «rented» the main house. In 2003, we moved into the caretaker home and decided to rent the homes when not used by family. Many guests have enjoyed the property and spectacular surrounding seashore since.

Jeff and Barbie F.

Business Owner

We both worked in the restaurant industry most of our lives. We closed our family restaurant in 2003 after 40 years, and moved out to this property our family has owned since childhood. In the past we had rented out the houses to friends, but we decided to expand on this concept and offer this haven as a vacation rental. We use the income to maintain the property and do necessary improvements.
