I have always loved cove wings, but lately, they’re not quite up to snuff. The price has sky-rocketed, and the portions have shrunk. The service is OK, but the fountain drinks and water taste like the were scooped out of a swimming pool… super chlorinated. We used to eat there about once a week, now we head there once or twice a year. There are much better places to go and enjoy a good meal

Best wings on earth. Get the dry kamikaze with a side of the wet hot sauce. Order all drums, too. Load up on the celery and bleu cheese and tease your husband as you watch the sweat bead on his forehead. The wings are amazing. Get some fried pickles and wash down all this fried Florida fabulous with way too many ice cold Bud Light drafts. This place makes me weepy and homesick but, I’m a third generation Florida girl. Overtip the sweet barmaid and be thankful that places like The Cove still exist!

Great secret place in Inverness, word of mouth advertising only! Wings and burgers and a basic menu, but it’s always good food and a super relaxed feel. Can arrive by boat, car or RV(they have a campground), but just make sure you get there!

After waiting over an hour and having every table around ours served, I was LITERALLY cursed at by the OWNER when I expressed my frustration at their serving yet another table that ordered after we did. After coming here regularly for five years, I will never come back. Ever. When I told the owner that she said she didn’t care. That shows her regard for the customers who pay her bills, beware.

While we like the wings and atmosphere I do have to say that the service has been a bit lacking each time we have driven from Tampa just to come here. This was our 3rd and final time coming. We will miss the wings as the Debbie Extra Crispy are delicious

So we were told this was a great little place to eat when your on the water and hungry. Hubby and I decided to drive there first. Yep, little place, in a campground, there is a channel but over grown so no way unless you have an airboat. SKIP this place. The bill was 18.50? and this is what we ordered… hubby ordered ½ pound wings = 3 to 4 pieces…3.95 w/tossed salad 2.95 w/ice tea 2.25(small to go cup) Me…chicken tenders(nothing comes with it) 5.95 four pieces w/ice tea 2.25 The table was sticky and gross and the others didn’t look any better so we stayed where we were at. One waitress covering the bar area as well as the tables. Not impressed with the way the placed was cleaned i.e. floors, tables, bar ect. Went to restroom on the way out… it was so much cleaner than the rest of the place. Plenty of parking. There’s no signage for the place, off the main road.

Went there the other nite with the wife. Got there just in time before the weekend evening crowd arrived. I have been going to the cove off and on since 96. This was not a great experience my girl ordered the patty melt well done and I the dry rubbed wings extra crispy. Patty melt was medium at best and really soggy and the wings were good, as was the service, but not as good as the price they charge for the wings. 2lbs, so they say 10 – 12 wings for 12.95. We sat at the bar and the bartender was good to us. My girl does not send food back just her thing good or bad. I will go back and if better I will update or write a new review.

We often go here for a wing and beer night. I love their Kamikaze and Debby wings. I dig the fact that they have both dry and wet and aren’t skimpy on their dipping sauces. The ladies that work there are always friendly. It’s the best place for wings in Citrus County that I’ve found so far. Been there quite a few times and I’ve never been let down so far.

Five stars for the wings and burgers! The Big Ass Burger rocks and the wings done extra crispy naked with Debbie sauce or dry hot is the bomb. The best in Citrus County. You have to find this place, and it is off the beaten path so look for it. Make sure you find it. Don’t expect anything fancy or anything like Hooters, but expect great wings and burgers at the price. Remember, come here for the wings and burgers… fries are good too. The beer is always worth a try.

Very good wings. The«Debbie» wings are frickin wicked awesome. Went here with my 2 sons for lunch this past Saturday. Was seated very quickly, and was drinking Killians on tap within 3 minutes. The wings were outstanding. The«Debbie» sauce is so different. Sweet/spicey and requires no dressing. Dressing on these wings would take too much away from the great flavor of the sauce. There is a real need for signage along the highway. I passed it twice because there are no signs to tell you where to turn.

After other people hyped how great the wings were at The Cove, I so wanted to love this place. Sadly I was completely underwhelmed by our dining experience. I ordered a pound of their plain wings and I got 6 small, unbattered fried wings. They were only fried and they didn’t taste as if they had been brined(brining greatly enhances taste and moistness of chicken). There was nothing special about them and I can’t understand why anyone raves about them, especially when you only get 6 to a pound. I thought that maybe they made a mistake and only served me a half pound so I asked our server how many wings come in a pound and she said 7. I told her that I only got 6 and she said she’d make it up next time. I wonder how many come in a half pound? We ordered onion rings that were tasty, but for $ 6.50 I expected more than the meager amount we got. Cindy got a Reuben that she said was tasty. She asked for more Thousand Island dressing for it which our server happily delivered, but we were charged an additional $ 0.75 for it. No bargain here. I was still hungry so I ordered a Cove Burger with bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo cooked medium. It arrived cooked medium well to well done, but it was pretty tasty and much more filling than the wings. It cost an additional $ 0.75 for the bacon an additional $ 0.75 for the cheese which added to the cost. I would order a burger here again and the french Fries were good, but with the small portioned, unbattered, bland wings, pricey onion rings and the extra charges for everything, I’m sad to say that I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

Love love love this place, great food at a very reasonable price service is great. If you have a good appetite I would suggest a pound of the dry hot wing and a cove burger. If you can handle the size get a «big ass». These wings are great always done right.

My husband and I ate there tonight for a going away party. Everyone said you must try the wings. We did and they were decent. They do have their own sauce called«Debbie» that was different and good. I wouldn’t go as far as to say they’re the best wings I’ve ever had but they were good. Debbie is an even mix of spicy and sweet and definitely not like anything I’ve ever had. They were very good but I don’t think I’d make a special trip just to eat them. If we are ever out this way again, yeah we’d eat there again. I will say 8 dollars for a pitcher seemed a little high! The food was priced quite reasonable though.
