History

Established in 2001.

Bill and Shelley Ashton grew up in the Restaurant and Bar Business with a dream of opening up their own place, that dream became a reality in August of 2001 when they bought a place called Dukes Roadhouse. Dukes was a long time established place and had a lot of history but, it needed a ton of work, over the last 9 years the place has been completely remolded. Stop in and check it out, you’ll probably be surprized.

Meet the Business Owner

Bill Ashton M.

Business Owner

The Beginning of Jersey’s Bar and Grill:

Bill and Shelley Ashton (owners) had both been in the restaurant industry since high school and had always dreamed of opening their own place.

That dream became a reality in August 2001. Dukes roadhouse was for sale in Inver Grove Heights and Jersey’s was created. Bill and Shelley both had a history in Inver Grove Heights. Bill a graduate from Simley high school still had many family members and great friends in the area. Shelley also had family in the area. So they felt that Inver Grove Heights would be a great place to start their venture or adventure as they would call it.

The restaurant closed for 30 days. At that time they started with cosmetic repairs.(carpet, paint and lots of tlc). Bill and Shelley seen the a vision but they new it would take time and lots of work.

After 3 years of being open it was time for a massive overhaul! They put on an addition in the game room, relocated both bathrooms.
