On our way home to Indiana from Myrtle Beach we decided to stop for some bbq and are glad we did. The smoked tenderloin was tender and flavorful. The pulled pork was excellent, the sauces were outstanding. The sides were good, the baked beans had a surprise kick. If we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely try top stop in again.

We used Pig Out for a small event for about 30 people. I worked with Jimmy. He was very nice and helpful. The BBQ was excellent and a very good price. I highly recommend.

Really great BBQ, like nothing we have in Minnesota. The ribs were great the chicken was the best. The sweet tea was like sugar syrup but grand. The atmosphere was great, just like a food tv show. You need to go to see what I am talking about.

We catered dinner midweek for the office for about 15 people for about 5pm. Although the place closes at 3pm, they do catering in the evening. Wow, everything was delicious and served temperature appropriate. The pork was tasty and pulled in perfect bite size pieces. The smoky flavor came through. I put the BBQ sauce and it complemented it perfectly. There was another more spicy sauce but I did not try it. The baked beans were in lots of sauce and also had a good tomato flavor. They were still hot too. The cole slaw was cold and very crunchy. There were pieces of carrots and pickles on it. This place is appropriately named– I went for seconds!

Not much ambiance but totally delicious ribs and barbecue. Generous servings, family style seating, old gas station. The parking lot is an experience in itself. The ribs are dry rub with sauces on the table. They are sweet and tender. The barbecue is juicy. Didn’t care for the beans or coleslaw, which had a vinegar dressing. The fries were hot and crispy and perfectly salted. We will be back, even if it out of our way.

Some of the best Bar-B-Q around. I have eaten here so many times I lost count! Worth taking the time to drive, sit down and eat!

Best BBQ ribs! I ordered and my plate was made within minutes. I mentioned that I found this place from all the good reviews on Unilocal and he gave me a two bone ribs and it was really good, the price is fair for the portion and quality of food that they give, I’d prob eat there once a week.

Excellent meaty ribs. Half rack equals 5 ribs and they fall off the bone. The sides are good too but the ribs make the meal and are plenty without sides. Served with a side of your choice of sauce. Both hot and mild sauces are very good. Ribs are done fast!. Little waiting for the meal to be ready. Can eat there or take home.

Driving through SC looking for some bbq and came across this wonderful spot. Just had the BBQ sandwich as everyone there was eating the same thing. Classic BBQ wonderful smoked taste… tremendous tenderness… Anyone who lives here is lucky to go to such a spot more often. A must stop for anyone craving BBQ and some amazing sides.

I had spent the morning in Inman SC, and around noon started hunting for someplace for lunch. What does a guy do when he is not familiar with his surroundings and the rumbling has started in his gut? He looks up nearby places in Unilocal of course. This place came up, got good reviews, and was really close by. Sounded like a plan. The joint is in an old gas station, and the parking set up was really odd. Many cars were parked where the pumps used to be, then others would pull in behind AND in front of them, locking them in. Nobody seemed to be too concerned, so I joined the crowd and blocked someone in. Walking up to the door, I wasn’t very impressed at all. In fact, even walking through the door wasn’t anything exceptional. What there was though was a line of people waiting to order. That can mean one of two things. Either the service is really slow, or the food is really good. After a couple of minutes wait, it was my turn to give my order to a little old lady sitting on a stool. And that ladies and gents is when I saw the cash(or check as if I had a check with me) only sign. Ruh roh! Peering into my wallet, I spied a Hamilton and 3 Washingtons. Plenty of moolah for McD’s, but not for a quality bbq joint like this. I was afraid to hold up the line any(the guys behind me looked like linebackers), so I ordered the ½ rack of ribs with no sides. $ 10 for the ribs, $ 1.50 for the tea, left me with $ 1 in my wallet(tax is included in the menu price). We found a seat and within a couple of minutes my number was called. That’s when the story gets good. My plate was filled with some of the charriest, tenderest, tastiest ribs I’ve ever had. And a slice of bread. Must be a Southern thing. Now when I say these ribs were lip smacking, I really mean it. ‘Cuz I took some of that hot bbq sauce they got, and poured it all over those ribs, then proceeded to suck that meat and sauce right off them bones. And they was good! And that bread? That’s what I used to try to soothe the burning in my lips from the sauce. That and 4 cups of tea. If I ever find myself in Inman(or Spartanburg), I will have more cash ‘cuz I got a hunkering for more Pig Out BBQ!

I lived in Memphis, TN for a year… this place could go toe to toe with any rib house there. The ribs are absolutely delicious. Pulled pork is typical. I hear the chicken is great, but I honestly can’t get past the ribs! Memphis style dry rub. The hot mustard sauce is also great, and I’m not a mustard sauce fan.

I’ve moved away from Spartanburg almost a year now and miss Pig Out dearly. Their ribs are outstanding. When we go back, I try to get some, BUT, I just left the world championship Bbq championship competition in Memphis & ate ribs from a multi-winning business. THEYDIDN’T COMPARETOPIGOUT. Spartanburg, you have a gem. I just wish I could have them more often. YUM!!! They cater events, too

I pass through Spartanburg about once a month and ALWAYS try and stop by Pig Out. Joe and his crew do an outstanding job on their BBQ. Driving up, it is an old gas station or something but once you step in, your initial impression is washed away in a sea of BBQ Awesomeness. Ordering off the menu is simple and make sure to bring cash since they don’t accept cards. There is an ATM for you to use in the back, for a modest fee I’m sure. I always try and go on Rib Days which are towards the end of the week and, in true SC fashion they let you order«By the bone» which is awesome since you’re not restricted to the half /full rack deal. BBQ is smoked SC Style and their sauce is quite simply some of the best in the state. Ribs are rubbed with a special blend of spices and smoked to perfection. They do the simple F/C Method(foil, cooler) after cooking to keep the ribs moist and perfect. Sides are all good, beans are in a mildly spicy sauce, and slaw seems homemade and it mixes nicely with the cue which is how I eat it. All around good stuff at Pig Out. if you’re looking for good ol SCBBQ, take the few extra minutes off the interstate and get to Pig Out. You will be glad you went!
