This place has taken care of my dad very well. I’m glad he was here. It’s located in a pretty good area of inglewood with a lot of business around it. The vets are extremely nice, overall it’s fantastic. Thank you!

I could kick my own butt for going to this place for help! Sure I am a Vet; who is homeless! But to be placed in a room with two total strangers; who have hygiene issues, and sleep dis-orders; is not for me! 10pm curviews, bed-checks, random drug test, unfriendly staff, and countless other things that go on here; are very unsettling! This is no more than a fancy prison camp! They don’t try to help get you out of the place, cause they want to keep you there as long as possible to get money from you! You can’t even sit in your car in the parking structure to long, before some office staff guy is accusing you of sleeping in your own vehicle; that’s a no-no! This place is a straight ‘rip-off!’ Glad I got from over therefore !

U.S. VETS — Los Angeles was the first site opened by United States Veterans Initiative(U.S. VETS). Since 1993 U.S. VETS — Los Angeles has been on the forefront of serving veterans in our community by providing housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support to homeless and at-risk veterans. New permanent affordable housing for veterans opened in December 2011 next door to the original building. Each night more than 600 veterans call U.S. VETS — Los Angeles home. There are income requirements to qualitfy for the permanent housing. U.S. VETS is a PROGRAM which means there are rules and requirements so isn’t a fit for every veteran. However, more than 10,000 veterans have been helped at this site since they opened so they must be doing something right!
