Southland Aquatics provides extraordinary fish to the independent aquarium store to enable our customers to thrive in a market dominated by national chains.

We provide each species an individual, self-​contained environment where the fish are treated, fed, and conditioned to reduce stress and improve appearance. No fish is sold before the species group is approved by our inside inspection department, and each fish is inspected prior to each shipment.

A low stress and quarantined environment, along with individual inspection, provide livestock with reduced disease; improve growth, health, vigor and appearance in retail tanks.

Transshipping creates the opposite conditions and will impair the health and appearance of fresh water tropical fish. Short term savings could result in long term loss of reputation and sales.

We select a broad group of global breeders and collectors based on variety, health, and appearance of various species groups.

History

Established in 1985.

This business has new ownership as of May 2013. The new owner is very friendly and easy to work with. Southland Aquatics got some much needed TLC, with the new changes and improvements around the office everyone is sure to have an enjoyable experience.
