Rodeway Inn & Suites

Flight was canceled and they were rude and didn’t want to work with me to reschedule or have some kind of discount for the following week. Won’t be using their hotels anymore! Was charged the entire price no refund whatsoever!

The room was nice and the service adequate but I would not recommend prepaying. They do not offer refunds. I prepaid for 6 days but I checked out a few days early and they did not refund me for the days I did not stay there.

Broken AC, didn’t want to give a new room, and didn’t want to give refund. Roasting like a chicken in a Hot room I paid over $ 100 for, then they made us wait on our dime while they fixed it… Took an hour, maybe more

I have had a room at this motel probably close to 500 nights and slept here probably 300 in the last decade. It sounds impossible but it is true. I have played poker semi professionally for many years and this motel is located directly across from Hollywood Park casino, which used to have a very good Pot Limit HoldEm game. I live in calabasas, a suburb 25 miles away and many times I would keep a room to just freshen up or go to bed if I was playing again the following day. 25 miles doesn’t sound like a great distance but LA locals understand that can mean 2 hours each way. This facility and it’s staff are FANTASTIC. Unless someone had a specific personal experience that was unpleasant I do not see how anyone could ever give this motel a poor rating. I know it’s not the four seasons or even the marriot up the road, but if you want to discuss bang for your buck this place is absolutely five stars.
The rooms are about 65 bucks a night, you get a clean room, hair dryer a nice size fridge microwave, nice modern TVs with a fantastic television package with a dozen premium movie and sports channels. They even do free coffee in the morning, they might still do free breakfast as well, I do not know, I am rarely up at that hour and if I am I grab a coffee at mcdonalds across the street. The staff are a family that are always polite and courteous. I do not know them personally I have just had typical pleasant casual conversations with them many times during check in process over the years. You also do not see nearly as much shady behavior like drugs and prostitution in this place like all the similar priced and even more expensive properties in the area. The neighborhood is a little rough but that is just the reality of inglewood. This motel is an absolute winner in every possible way. THERE IS NOTHING ANYWHERE NEAR AS GOOD IN ITS PRICE RANGE.

This place definitely deserves a better ranking. Was originally dubious about staying in an area I remember as being somewhat «sketchy» but Century Blvd has clearly been cleaned up since the last time I was in Los Angeles, and you can’t beat the convenience to LAX and freeways. I felt perfectly safe here. Parking was easy and well-​lighted. Room was clean, with upgraded décor, furnishings and surfaces; ample outlets for charging stuff; with fan on for ambient noise and effective air conditioning we heard only a few sirens from the road, and zero noise from overhead airplanes. Most importantly, the staff was great — helpful in straightening out a somewhat complicated reservation and directing us to mainstream shopping center only 2 blocks away for chain restaurants, groceries and department stores. I would give the property 3 stars based on comparable motels in general, and am adding a 4^th star because of the staff. Many thanks! Would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here at 3 times before this recent stay. Most times, like with most cheaper hotels, there is a cleanliness issue so I always bring Lysol and cleaning stuff. I do that for my own peace of mind. What I dont expect to find are a used condom and dead roach behind the pull out bed couch. When I went to talk to someone they said someone could take care of it in the morning. I didn’t feel right having my friends sleep on that so I cleaned it up myself. *GROSS* I had planned on staying 2 nights byt after that I checked out the next day. If I ever stay here again I guess I have to prepare to do whatever dirty work myself.

I had a great experience! friendly staff, great price, brand new beds and furniture! nothing like great service and a clean environment for a great price!

Basically, you get what you pay for at Rodeway Inn & Suites. The staff was super nice but we would just never stay here again so I can only award 1 star
The Good:
Room was ginormous w a fridge, microwave & little dining nook. If this were our only gage for hotels, we’d have been in total love w/​this place. Too bad really… the room size was the only thing this place had going for it
The Bad:
Sis & I actually feared for our safety — the neighborhood is total sketch & delinquent kids kept us up all night, banging on each others’ doors, angry yelling & there was NO WAY we were going to even think about going out there & ask they be quiet for fear of getting shanked.
Walls *super* thin — had to wear earplugs for the 1^st time in my sleeping history. See reference to delinquent kids above
There was Raid powder all along the baseboards so whole room smelled like Raid & we both had psychological itching all the next day & honestly worried about bedbug /​lice infestation. The beds were clean & the pillows seemed new but just the mere presence of Raid was enough to cause negative mental visions of critters (please note, we didn’t get infested)
The staff was really nice & I feel badly for writing such a horrible review & if I were willing to give them a 2^nd chance, I’d say 2-​stars would be fair but we’ll never, ever, ever stay here again & even thinking about it now prompts an «eek, methinks not» reaction.

Right across from the Hollywood Park racetrack/​casino. Icky hotel — I got referred here by the Choice rewards 800# people. bad Choice. worn inside, smells, go outside and hold your purse tight. what, you ask — do I vacation at racetracks? no… car broke down and had to stay overnite for repairs! *sigh*
