This is the best place if you like to get the maniana treatment my Suzuki DRZ400sm was purchased at La Cylesporsts about a month ago. I figured: since I purchased the bike and they are an authorized dealer they probably give me good class service and they probably get the bold on mods that i needed installed efficiently and cheap came out to be $ 2,300.00. plus carb and exhaust. The shop has had the carb and parts this whole week and did not do anything besides give me excuses of the next week nature. keep in mind that this is a simple one piston carbureted bike the simplest bike work on. If in fact Hugo was telling the truth and they struggled for a week with the setup of a kehin carb a 3×3 mod a kn filter on a DRZ400sm the whole service staff should very much pursue a career in acting, or music maybe or anything that des not involve fixing anything. I was very mad, at the fact that Hugo, the service manager had the audacity to say I wished that we had another day to work on your bike when I picked it up half taken apart after a week of sitting untouched with about 30 minutes worth of wrenching left. (for someone competent of course maybe a couple of hours for a hobbist) Maybe its an old boys bike shop and some clients have it better that others maybe not, feel free to use this shop if you like to pay full price and come back next week.
I showed up to pick up my unfinished half put apart bike today to prevent the next week x10 to happen to me what a mistake using this place.

I was involved in a motorcycle accident Friday (5÷20÷16) night. This led to me knowing I would have to bring my bike in to the shop first thing Saturday morning. The shop opens at 9:30AM I arrived closer to 9AM expecting to wait roughly 30 minutes for them to open. To my surprise they were many employees there at 9AM and they were all willing to begin assisting me prior to their true open hours– perfect!
I told them I was in a motorcycle accident Friday night and my bike with being told in for them to take a look at it and assess the damage. When my bike arrived they help me move it to an area and expressed their remorse for my accident. A man by the name of Hugo began talking with me and collecting all my information. Hugo was highly friendly, remorseful, and extremely helpful in pointing out the obvious damage and the different parts and components that would certainly need to be replaced. I have also dealt with Joey before at the shop and he is awesome as well He also informed me of how long it would be before they were able to assess the damage and we would go from there.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience after a motorcycle accident. This shop is an out they are trying to make profit off of your misery. They are there to genuinely help you and get your bike back in rideable for. I would highly recommend any motorcycle rider/​owner to use the shop.

The ABS Disable function on my Triumph was locked out, so I brought it to the Service Department at LA Cyclesports. It was lunchtime, so the technicians were bugging out. But Hugo tracked down Joey, and he got my bike plugged into their computer. Minutes later Joey said he needed to download and install an update from Triumph on their computer. and that it would take 30 minutes. So I walked over to Café Cancun (⁴⁄₅ stars, great guacamole). A short time later I walked back to the shop and there was Joey moving my bike out onto the sidewalk. Done deal. Didn’t even lose my trip meter data.
Apparently the ABS Disable function is not enabled by default, but Triumph expects their dealers to enable it (and have a conversation with the new owner about safety) during the delivery inspection. I bought the bike used, and to my knowledge it was originally sold by a different dealership. In any case, I made clear the scope of work and and that I did not expect to be charged, before I even went down there. And indeed there was no charge. I typically would not bring in an out-​of-​warranty bike (or car) to a dealership for service unless I knew for sure that I could not fix the problem myself — as was the case here. [Show up at any dealership with an unknown problem and yes, Mike D., they will make you pay.] Should something like this happen again, LA Cyclesports Service Department will certainly be on my speed dial.

If I could give no stars I would, and that’s what this place deserves. Warning***Do Not Take Your Bikes here to get serviced… typical overcharging, scamming service center, and threatening customers with profanity and vulgar language is the treatment I got here by Hugo.
Un-f’ing believable. Hugo is the biggest douche-​bag I’ve probably ever met and for his own self-​preseration and safety, he’s lucky he didn’t get knocked out today when he literally got in my face (surprised it hasn’t happened already by his Napoleon temper and attitude)…Never, ever in my wildest nightmares have been treated like this by people in any shop or business before. I buy a lot of bikes, off-​road toys, and recreational vehicles, and this Hugo’s actions and attitude towards me today will ensure at his request, that I will never go back this this shit hole of a business. Nor will I refer business or anyone who has any need of service to go to this place.
I have a 2013 Triumph Street Triple R, the thing has been babied and garaged kept and only has about 2k miles on it. It’s already had it’s first major service, so when I went to take it for a ride today I was surprised and discouraged to see the check engine light on. I live in Manhattan Beach, and this isn’t where I purchased the bike, but this is the closest authorized dealer to my location, so I called them up and told them the problem. A guy named Leo answered the phone, and I quickly described the problem and they said bring it in.
I brought it in within an hour of speaking to Leo, and drove it around the back as i’ve never been to this service center. I have been in there shop, and purchased a way over-​priced Arai helmet for $ 850 about a year and a half ago, however the service center is down the side road and not attached to the main sales floor. I walked up to the front and first interacted with Hugo, and all was good as we spoke about how much more dangerous motorcycles have become to ride with all the people on their smartphones. I filled out my information, was not quoted any price to do the work, and walked to the back as they wheeled my bike in. The service tech was a nice guy, and no sooner did he take off the seat he said, «here’s your problem, the battery connectors are loose, and they’re sending false signals»
Bam, no sooner than five seconds to diagnose the problem and fix it and sure enough the check engine light was off. Most service centers wouldn’t try to charge you $ 52 for that, but not LA Cyclesports. This place is highway robbery, and when I said, no that’s ridiculous and was obviously upset because this place is trying to rip me off even though there was nothing wrong with my bike… they tried to give me the run around and say, «well, we had to connect the sensor tool to it to make sure that was the problem.»
No! You did’t! I was standing right there when the tech said thats the problem and I saw with my own eyes the light instantly go off, that’s it, nothing more needs to be done. Additionally, before I found out they wanted to charge me $ 52, which they then mysteriously lowered to $ 33 to tighten two bolts on the battery terminal under the seat, it took Leo like fifteen minutes to put my information into the computer and I was the ONLY customer in there. I was like, «okay man, can I just pay you and you can put all this in when I leave…»
Hugo literally said, «F-​you you piece of shit, get the F outta here, Mother F’r», and then proceeded to tell me not to write a review and just never come back…
Well, that’s not how customer service works, Hugo… My wish is that educated consumers read this and your business is negatively affected because of this review… That Hugo, is how consumerism works. Thanks to technology is all recorded.

Jerry: Yes, we have it in every color!
Me: Awesome, I got an offer for $$$ but they didn’t have the color I wanted, Can you match or beat it?
Jerry: Wow, that is a great price but I think I can match it.
Me: Really? Sweet! I’ll stop by in the morning!
Saturday Morning: I call Jerry to make sure he didn’t call in sick and still remembered our agreement. I did this due to bad experiences I had with other dealers where the price all of a sudden spiked when I got there in person.
Ring Ring
Jerry: Hello
Me: May I speak to Jerry please?
Jerry: This is Jerry.
Me: Great! I called to make sure you didn’t call in sick. The price is still good right?
Jerry: Yes, are you coming?
Me: Yes, I’ll be there within an hour.
Jerry: Great, give me your basic info so I can get the paperwork started and get the bike prepped.
Me: Ok!
After that I took Über to the dealer and met Jerry. It took less than 30 minutes for me to sign papers and the bike was all ready to go! I rode off on my new Grom with a big smile!
Jerry did try to swindle me by saying that the deal didn’t include wheels and tires which I needed to pay a big premium for. I was about to punch him but it turned out to be a joke! lol
All joke aside, I had a great experience buying my lil motorcycle at La Cyclesports. Not all deal is the same and you may not get what you wish for, but give La Cyclesports a chance! As long as you’re reasonable with your request, I don’t see any reason why you can’t get an experience like me! Thanks Jerry!

My CVT malfunctioned a couple times. Meaning, on my Bergman, in automatic mode, it would whirrr and rpms spin up to red zone while trying to get into 2^nd gear. But I couldn’t predict when it would happen. Of course, when I brought it in it purrred like a kitten. It was on its best behavior, «Nothing to see here, boys. I’m doin fine, thanks.»
Fortunately when you describe a problem to Hugo or Joey, these fkrs actually open up their ears and listen. They kept the bike. My wife drove me home. They took it apart and kept test riding it until they finally got it to act up. They worked on the Suzuki rep for a week to get warranty approval. The rep came out and personally inspected it. They pitched for a new CVT, but the diagnosis wasn’t clear enough. More troubleshooting. Analyzed every switch and wire. Finally, they discovered something had conked the electrical shifting relay from below just enough that it was intermittently failing to prompt the next shift.
So it was Good news/​Bad news. Problem diagnosed and fixed but not covered by warranty, though they cut me some slack on the repair bill.
That’s when I remembered! A week before the trouble started, on Pico Bl., b/​w Sepulveda & Sawtelle I heard such a loud metallic thwack and felt the bump from below that it seemed like I must have hit an IUD.
Of course it was LA road debris. I remember breathing a sigh of relief that I got away undamaged (I thought.)
This is the 3^rd bike I’ve had serviced at LACC (I bought this one there, too). One got to 100k before I totalled it.
I’ve been a customer since they were at their old location across the 405 when Joey was top dog running service. Hugo’s good too. He’s been around so many shops and m/​c brands
Their sales dept is good, plays it straight on the $$, and gives good post-​sale support.
But it is the Service Dept that makes me wish I could add a 6^th star.

Had a very bad experience with Jerry. He was not polite. Didn’t have any patience but got nervous quite soon with my questions. I was about to buy same day a brand new triumph for $ 10,000+ … Well I decided not to buy with him and I am buying it at Pro Italia instead.

Traveled all over the country on my triumph and these guys have by chance worked on my bike a number of times. Each time I’ve been pleased with their service quality and cost. Recently got my 24k service done with them, the cost plus oil change, new chain and new rear tire was only $ 100 more than my dealer outside NYC was quoting me.
They even sent out a tow truck for a warranty claim last year.
Finally settling down in La. These guys will be my go to mechanics.

Finally got actual service performed on my bike — the exhaust actuator valve was acting up and as mentioned in my previous review, Joey was able to identify it on the spot and give me a quote for the job.
Abie was the technician who worked on my bike, and after the exhaust valve adjustment, waited for me to pick up my bike and discuss the service performed. He also told me of an issue that I had noticed where the bike would lug at low speeds and near idle. Both Joey and Abie met and talked with me after the service to inform me of the problem and suggest possible solutions. They even offered guidance on how to DIY, and took their time to really answer every question I had. I didn’t feel rushed or disconnected from the service team. I really appreciate them taking the time to talk with me about the problems and not forcing services on me.
Great guys. I’ll definitely try to save money doing repairs myself, but if I get stuck, these guys are for sure the first number I’m calling for service.

I just bought a brand new, hard to find CBR 1000 ABS here. The price was great. I came up from San Diego to get it. and I was impressed that they were 100% true to their word on everything the told me over the phone. The paper work went really smoothly also — organized, quick, and professional.

These guys are unorganized and unprofessional. I’ll never take my bike there again. And when I was complaining about them someone said if you’re not a big name celebrity then they don’t really care about you. It shows.

I bought my husband a gsxr 750 2015 from here Dan from sales help us out he was very helpful. I didn’t take that long 3 hours we were out there. About blonde lady she is a little rude at first. But when you talk to more ask questions she’s not to bad. She was nice afterwards.

Fast easy service. I didn’t have to haggle or stress; they gave me a great deal on the spot.
I went in, wanted the 2015 GSXR1000, and was done in about 2 hours or less with the bike out the door.
If you are a first time buyer; the bike is not lubed on the showroom floor; this part takes most of the time.
No set up fee or freight fee. that in itself is a deal. some places charge 400−1200/fee type.

Awesome parts department. I get all my parts for all my bikes there! Used to go to Del Amo but much friendlier and faster service here!!!

I needed a same day first service for my Triump Thruxton as I suddenly had time in my schedule, and called around. This place was the the only one that was available instantly. All authorized Triumph dealers (Southern California Motorcycles, where I bought my bike, and ProItalia, from whom I bought bikes in the past) told me it is about $ 280 out the door. So I assumed this was the price and was surprised when LaCyclesports quoted me $ 370 plus tax when I got there. When I asked why $ 100 more, he told me «I know my guys, who knows what the others do. ProItalia is usually the most overpriced. I know what they do. I’m sure the parts are extra.»
So I called ProItalia back, and sure enough $ 275 out the door actually, all parts and labor included.
The LaCyclesports service guy looked dumbfounded, told me again that «I know my guys and I’m sure they all cut corners». He also told me he does not «price match», so I just left, but before that I made my appointment with ProItalia while I was in their store.
It’s too bad. Customers are not stupid guys, so either you charge fair prices for service or you will lose your business. No wonder they had «7 techs available now»… no one comes there…

Stopped by today only to buy chain lube and cleaner. Was greeted immediately as I was heading towards the items I was looking for by Chelsea. I was looking for some YOSHIMURA parts and Chelsea help me get what I was looking for. I was a frequent customer back at the old location. I liked the customer service by Chelsea and also to see some familiar faces from the old location. I will definitely come back to spend more money in the future.

Gonna give LA Cyclesports a decent thumbs up. Trust me there are some seriously shady or downright predatory motorcycle shops out there, and LA Cyclesports in not one of them.
Rode in last weekend to meet a friend who just got licensed to ride the 2-​wheels. He’s not sure what to get, or where to start so I figured I’d help out. We looked a few used bikes and were greeted by a sales person, who right from the start was nice, patient, and certainly not pushy.
Took about 45 minutes looking at a variety of lower CC bikes, 250cc, 300cc, 500cc bikes for my buddy… he sat on about 7 – 8 bikes and started one up outside, the guy was very patient with us. He knew a sale was not coming today and did a good job of making us comfortable enough to want to come back.
After they exchanged info, we looked at the selection of riding gear, chatted… and I wanted to get back to my Saturday ride, so I bolted.
Pros:
— Nice sales folks, not pushy.
— Good selection of used and new bikes, LOTS of Honda’s.
— Very easy to find location at Lacieniga and Manchester in Inglewood.
Cons:
— Small shop, small selection of gear and clothes.
— Not a lot of price flexibility (but do have military discounts).
Nice place, nice people… ride safe out there!

I purchased my first bike from these guys a couple weeks ago. I went with the 2014 Triumph Bonneville T100. I bought the bike through Jerry. This guy took his time with me and never pushed. It was a pleasure dealing with him. When I picked the bike up, Hugo the service manager went over every detail. I would highly recommend Jerry and this place to anyone.

Ended up here at LA Cyclesports because it was time from some preventative maintenance on my bike. Normally, I would just send her to the shop but I had time and it’s been a while since I worked on her so … I just needed to get the usual oil, cleaners etc.
LA Cyclesports isn’t a big shop compared to others I’ve been to but they had everything I needed to get the job done. They even took a phone order and charged my battery before I came in so that when I did get home, all I had to do was drop it in and start her up.
The gentleman who helped me wasn’t very knowledgeable but he was friendly and honest which I appreciated. I did go with his suggestions as to what other riders bought and it worked for my purposes.
It’s close to (my) home and prices aren’t out of line.
