Bring a calculator!.. I came to this Liquor store for a quick beer run. I bought one tall can and a bag of chips; total charge: $ 5!.. The bag of chips cost $ 1.49 which is labeled on the product, so that means I was charged $ 3.51 for one tall can. Seriously?.. 7-eleven has them priced at $ 2.75. Oh, and I paid with my debit card, so the Asian cashier takes my card without saying a word and adds a 0.75 debit fee without advising me about it; he then swiped my card. Total cost: $ 5.75. The cashier never said a word the whole time I was being charged, and DIDNOT check for my ID.

The person previous to me must’ve came on a bad day. This liquor store caters to families in the surrounding area and I’ve seen many of the neighborhood children come here with their spare change buying themselves snacks and goodies. They know the owner by name; that just tells you how personable he is with them. There are also many regulars who go here and ask Sam(owner) how he’s doing and have some random conversations about the neighborhood/their families or interesting stories on the news. Most of the time everyone is generally respectful but there are also passerbys who are disrespectful, drugged-up, drunk out of their minds, and oftentimes up to no good some with intentionally bad motives. Liquor store owners go through a lot everyday and don’t really attract cream of the crop customers. But someone has to deal with that right? The place is neatly organized, labeled, stocked, and cleaned thoroughly. Whatever you’re looking for they generally have with a vast variety of liquor, wines, beers, mixers, snacks, even beauty products. They also sell really cute earrings, watches, sunglasses and other random, useful things for cheap that you would actually want to purchase. I’ve once seen a man come into the store buy a shirt and sandals which he quickly changed into haha. The parking lot is easy to park in and there’s also street parking. Karma, you get what you give. Come in with a good attitude, you’ll be treated with the same respect. I’ve never had a bad experience here and this is my go-to store whenever I’m in the area. I’ve also been asked if I need help going to my car, but I always decline since I’m usually with friends. Jacks liquor is also so conveniently located right next to the 105, 405 and on Imperial Highway :)
