Bakelab

Had samples of their peppermint brownie tonight. Perfection!

Bought a dozen of their cookies (minimum order) at $ 2/​ea., which I think is a bit pricey.
In this order, there were two of each flavor selected — choco chip, double choco chunk, oatmeal raisin, ginger molasses, lemon sugar and peanut butter sandwich. Of the six flavors tried, I would only order two again (ginger molasses and oatmeal raisin).
I LIKED:
Ginger molasses — great amount of both flavors, very moist, perfectly firm and addicting.
Oatmeal raisin — the softest, best oatmeal raisin I’ve ever tasted in my life.
I DIDN’T LIKE/​NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT:
Choco chip — nothing spectacular
Double choco chunk — nothing spectacular
Lemon sugar — too soft in the middle as if it is undercooked. Lack of lemon flavor, more like an undercooked sugar cookie instead.
Peanut butter sandwich — i really wanted to like this because PB is my fave but nothing spectacular and lack of that PB taste.
I liked two flavors out of six from the cookie section and I figured that deserved 3 stars. I haven’t tried other items yet though.

too bad my family members wouldn’t accept this as a present because these cookies are the bomb bigotry and they don’t even know…
This place is kind of like a secret… for those who know which I like!

I found out about Bakelab through a deal I bought off of Bloomspot. (
) $ 10 for $ 20 worth at Bake Lab.
There isn’t too much you can pick from online, but I’m easy to please. There’s at least something for everyone here.
Anyway, I got their oatmeal raisin cookies. 10pc for $ 20. I called them, and ordered for pickup in a Friday. There isn’t really a store you go into last minute and pick what you want. They make their cookies fresh! Friday comes along and I get a call reminding that the cookies were ready for pickup. That was nice of them. If you’re not close by, they also ship their baked goods.
When I get to the bake lab, there’s really no sign, but it was easy to find. Parking was easy as well, since the area seemed like an industrial area. I believe they share this location with the Meal– home delivery service (Paleta).
The cookies came in a really nice box. Tied up in a pretty baby blue ribbon. It’s too bad I wasn’t giving it to anyone as a whole. It would have made a nice present. I split up the cookies and gave 1 – 2 to a few people. Saved 2 for myself.
Oatmeal raisin cookies were really good. They were soft, and were able to stay soft for awhile. It wasn’t too sweet, and I liked that there weren’t too many raisins in it. Also, it wasn’t one of those homemade cookies where all you could taste was flour. Yuck.
Each cookie came individually wrapped in its own plastic and sealed with a sticker. My sister told me these were the best she’s had.

I do not use this phrase lightly, but: OH HELLZ NOM.
As stated by the other reviews, Bakelab makes a stellar cookie, the kind where once you’re at your last bite, you’re sad that you gobbled it instead of savored it (but it’s so good, it’s hard not to keep eating! Solution: get several). It’s flavorful, soft, chewy, and has that quality where my eyes go half-​mast and all is suddenly well in my world. Upon eating a cookie sandwich: double-​chocolate cookies with peppermint-​candy cane frosting in the middle — I couldn’t help but dance around a little. It’s that good. F’realz.
I was in charge of getting a party catered and went to Bakelab and said, «I have $X, I don’t want cupcakes, can you make me stuff?» Yes, said Kristin. Fast forward a few days to the party set-​up, I’m opening box after box of neatly-​labeled delicacies, squealing with my friends over how incredible everything looks and hopping around with glee. All night I watched person after person carrying plates loaded with goodies.
Bakelab doesn’t have a storefront and I wouldn’t recommend popping into their industrial kitchen ’cause Kristin is just going to look at you funny, but do check their website to find out how to order, plus Bakelab offers cookie-​baking classes!

Absolutely fabulous chocolate chip cookies. I picked up a dozen at their kitchen which is a bit hard to find, but everyone was so nice, and the desserts all looked great.
