Ronin Sharpening is a mobile sharpening service specializing in the sharpening and sales of kitchen knives, hair shears, grooming shears and clipper blades, as well as sewing shears, and garden tools. Ronin is also a distributor of Shun, Global, MAC, Porsche and Custom cutlery.

History

Established in 2012.

I started Ronin Sharpening in April 2012 in an effort to provide a service that I myself was in need of. We have now partnered with True Value Hardware in Palm Desert, Cooking with Class in La Quinta, and The Certified Farmers Market in La Quinta and Palm Springs and Palm Desert.

I would by no means consider myself a chef but I do love to cook. Doing so much cooking takes a toll on even the best of knives and eventually they need to be sharpened. I had tried every sharpener available to the general consumer all with mixed results. After having them professionally sharpened they always held their edge longer creating a much more enjoyable cooking experience. After my move to Palm Desert i was unable to find a professional to sharpen my knives. I made many calls to the local hardware stores, cooking shops and even searched the local farmers markets. In February 2012 it was obvious to me that there was hole that needed to be filled. Since starting I now sharpen for most of the golf club houses, hair salons and pet groomers in the Coachella Valley.
