This place is crap. I’m really surprised it’s still open for business. Please take my advice and go somewhere else I don’t want to see anybody else get a bad deal. The owner is very lazy and depends on his install group to do the work and half the time he has no one there to do installs. Be careful, trust me you will not be happy.

I came in to get a Sony stereo installed in place of my factory radio in my Ford. Jeff was very nice and got the job done very quickly.
He gave us a great price on it too and the finally price even came up less than he quoted. He even gave us a large package of locally grown dates, which are normally very expensive.
I would highly recommend Precision AutoSound in Indio. I rarely write reviews unless the service is beyond exceptional and Jeff was most certainly that.

i have used jeff 3 times on my wife’s car, he put in a satellite radio took twice as long as they said and mounted it where you can not see it from the drivers seat, while he was doing that he told us one of the door lock actuators needed replaced and he could do it for around $ 60 dollars, so later on i took back in to have this done, the 1 hour job took 6 hours and cost $ 140 dollars, they never worked right, so later on i track him down because every time i use him he has moved; hes tells me to bring it the next morning and he will get right on it, i show up and he rudely tells me will you will have to just leave it and i will get around to when i can, so i leave and go somewhere else, he had replaced 2 actuators instead of one and they were not the correct ones but they had mickey moused them and that’s why they had quit working, if he had of messed them up i could have got them replaced for free under a recall by honda, i was very upset because i had sent lots of people to him over the years,

Let me just save you some time and $ in your life. Have purchased a few sets of built in DVD players for both my vehicles. Both times the car was promised at a certain time, they didn’t not deliver, took days. Both times my DVD players never worked correctly, the picture constantly skipping in and out, even after we brought it back in bc of problems. These so called «deals» we were given were junk, with junk products and a junk staff that takes their sweet time, or everyone tells us different times the car will be ready. Our headrest dvd that was purchased 6 months ago the one is completely inoperable, it just died. My newest addition is a DVD player, after taking that back numerous times it still works horrible, the picture is constantly going in and out, its junk. These men don’t care about anything but making a buck, they sit around and shoot the s*it all day. Lazy place, bad products and bad attitudes. Do yourself a favor keep driving!

My Car Alarm installed by another 3^rd Party Dealer malfunctioned and I could not turn my alarm off or start the engine. I called AAA, Best Buy, the Scion Dealership and a couple other local businesses and they all told me virtually the same thing — if you can’t find the Valet Switch (which it turns out was NOT installed) you’re in a lot of trouble and we can’t help you. Even worse, all 4 agreed that I may need to have my car towed up to North Hollywood where I had the original alarm installed to have the manufacturer disable it. I rely on my car for work and to say I was stressed was an understatement. My car was disabled in my driveway for about a week before I was fortunate enough to talk to a Local who suggested I speak with Jeff at Precision Autosound. I called Jeff, his knowledge and expertise of the situation that he could help me immediately brought about some peace. I had my Car towed by AAA to Precision Autosound. Jeff and his crew immediately got to work, they diagnosed the problem quickly, installed the Valet Switch, and got me back on the road. An even higher compliment to Jeff’s outstanding customer service and professionalism is that he called me early on Monday morning to tell me that my car was ready and he offered to pick me up at my apartment so that I could be on-​time to work. Talk about going above and beyond. If there is an even higher compliment that I can offer it would be to Jeff’s Integrity. I was in a truly bad situation and completely helpless. I feel that I was charged an absolutely fair price for the work Jeff and his Crew did. My situation could have easily been manipulated by a less than honorable business. Jeff and his Crew treated me honestly, fairly and achieved a successful result to my problem and got me back on the road. I highly recommend Jeff and his Crew to all Locals and Unilocalers. Completely Satisfied and Appreciative.

I moved here from Chicago and been totally disappointed with shops ranging from car stereo, auto body, and mechanical repairs. I went to Precision Sound and met Jeff who listened to what «fit me» soundwise. Extremely fair price and quality of work done was a 10+. Superb experience. He did not upsell me, listened and gave me what a 55 year old man wanted vs. my 20 year old son (totally different buyer). I also heard him talk to others both young and old and give people their options. A senior citizen came in and wanted something simple and he gave opinion and fit their needs and didn’t install a sound system for a 19 year old in their Cadillac. Than a 20 year comes in with upgrading his pickup and Jeff was prefect with this kid and the kid was real happy with his «spaceship» as I call it.

I hired Jeff and his guys to come out to my RV at MCCC to remove my Pioneer NAV/​Radio system that went bad and replace it with a Pioneer Radio/​DVD/​Sat Radio system.
They arrived on time, worked through some issues connecting the new system up and completed as scheduled. Unfortunately Pioneer did not include the plastic molding that goes around the outside of the unit and hides the metal bracket. Jeff had his guys fabricate one up and complete a professional job.
That is the true test of a great company, How do they handle problems when things go wrong, and in this case they did it right.

I have used Jeff for all of my audio/​alarm needs for some years. A small operation to be sure, but he has been at this for 20+ years and is still going strong. I would recommend him to anyone who would ask me.

I own a Plumbing Business W. 6 custom trucks, we stand behind our work, medium priced, Reliable & Honest.
We Had Jeff the owner way over charge me, give me the run around for a system w alarm, blue tooth, remote start, back-​up camera & touch screen radio, I had to bring it back 7 times, the only thing that worked was the radio, he has no problem at all wasting your time or us paying our guy to wait 3 – 4 hours at a time. After so many excuses & wasting our time, told him how bad of a business man he is & how good reputable companies get a bad rap because of guys like him, he handed me the keys & walked away into his office & left us hanging big time. We paid him $ 1900. For this system «Them same one you can get installed @ best buy for $ 1,100. @ least there’s accountability @ best buy. I just paid Mark @ Vessco $ 645. To fix everything, I can give a whole list of what they did wrong, I’ll just say this 1 thing «don’t run the RC CABLES FOR THE BACK UP CAMERA ALONG THE EXHAUST PIPE!!», Completely Melted cables-​no signal. I also paid an additional $ 270. 2 weeks ago to my mechanic because the kill switch wouldn’t deactivate. Wow !, an $ 1,100. System cost me $ 2,815. Plus man hrs. & loss of work opportunity. I have receipts for everything.

Charge a whole lot of money for a job that just about anybody can do themselves, set everything up wrong and couldn’t even get my steering wheel controls to work correctly. And some how my gas pedal panels mysteriously disappeared once they worked on them and they will not admit to it. Don’t recommend this auto shop at all

Jeff took great care of me and his Crüe took pride in what they install the best A+They installed a new kenwood 991 radio and it’s as sweet as it gets works perfect wood recommend to everyone. Thanks Jeff, John

Over charges everything. They quoted me over 500 bucks to install my equipment! I was bringing the speakers and amps! All I needed was a box, and wires. The place does good work from my pass experiences but charges way too much. Go out of town or in cat city, the can do the same job got half the price.

Jeff and his crew have always taken care of us. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a reputable audio video company! I personally have had him install thousands of dollars worth of equipment in both my trucks and motor home over the last 10 years.

I needed a replacement remote for my auto alarm. They ordered it for me and it arrived the next day — for not much more than I would have paid online for it. They also programmed the transmitter for $ 10 more in just a few minutes.
