Negative stars. They were so rude and unhelpful. They have no concept of customer service. They fitted us for our bridesmaid dresses, and both my sister and I’s dresses are two entire sizes too big. They refused to do anything besides offer to «tailor it» so they made even more money off of us. They kept telling us there was nothing they could do, and the dress is supposed to fit that way. They were incredibly rude. Go anywhere else but here. I’ve never written a review for anything in my life, but I am doing this now because they were just that rude. Never ever go here. They deserve to go out of business.
Also they don’t bend the rules for anyone. Which I get. I’ve been to several different bridal stores and I respect the rules. But they used their rules to be all haughty about their business. I just hated my entire experience with them. Please don’t shop here.

Absolutely horrid experiences at the Bridal Superstore. I went in with my mom a few times and we felt completely disrespected every single time. The saleswomen are rude, everything was rushed, and anytime I tried to ask a question, they would roll their eyes and respond curtly. DO NOT waste your time and your money in this overly expensive store that has horrible customer service. There are several other bridal stores in the area that are more worth your business.

Extremely rude associate ruined the experience and sent us looking elsewhere quickly. She seemed to go out of her way to «reprimand» our bride for waiting close to the wedding to decide on a dress and to insult the rest of us in any way possible. Her coworkers were clearly embarrassed by her comments and tried to remedy the situation by offering positive remarks but it was too late. I don’t actually think that I have ever been talked down to in that way by someone in sales. To be fair, we only looked around for about 5 – 10 minutes, so I will only say that we were unimpressed by the little (overpriced) selection that we saw. Don’t know if you should steer clear of the shop entirely but know to expect a snobby atmosphere and poor customer service if particular employees are working.

Nope. Nope. Nope.
I went here about a month ago and had a moment where I saw a dress glowing at me with angels singing from heaven. I was short on time and without my mom, and the women working assured me repeatedly that they just got the dress, and if I wanted to come back in a month or two, it would still be in stock to try on. Plus, they assured me, I could get my first time 20% discount! It’s better to come back later, ready to buy!
They lied.
For a few weeks, I looked at other dresses and still thought this one was as close as I will get to my dream dress. I called to see if I could try it on (and if all went well, I was ready to buy), and do you know what they told me? Spoiler: it definitely wasn’t that they would have it waiting on me.
They don’t have it anymore.
After explaining (very nicely) to the woman on the phone that I was all but promised it would be there to try, she told me I was out of luck. When I asked if, since it’s a new style, there would be a chance that they would get another, do you know her response? «The only one we would get would be the one that you would order.»
THANK YOU MA’AM.
I let her know I would be delighted to order the dress from another shop that wasn’t so insanely rude, hung up, and cried a bit because this place turned me into a bridezilla.

This place somehow got a bad rap. I was shopping for wedding dresses last fall, and I was glad to have a shop where it wasn’t too much trouble to get an appointment, and where the selection was vast and affordable. It was nice to go in and say «my top budget is $ 2,000» and I basically had the run of the place. You won’t find too many edgy fashiony choices here, but it’s your wedding dress so you’ll probably end up going with some variation on a classic anyway, right? Well, I almost bought an Allure Bridals dress here — tried it on 2 – 3 times, was pretty sure, and then found another dress that was more ‘me’ at Sophia’s Bridal and Tux. But I’d like to give a shout-​out to Teresa, who worked with me at two of my three appointments. She is the sweetest and most genuine sales associate I’ve ever encountered. I honestly had some remorse about buying my dress elsewhere and not from her. If you can, request her when you’re making an appointment, she’ll make you feel confident and comfortable. I did work one time with a woman in her 60s-​70s whom I’d assume is the owner. She wasn’t as pleasant. She was trying to steer me away from dresses I liked — I had to actually insist to try on one I liked. She also seemed irritated that I wasn’t ready to buy on my 2^nd appointment. I’m guessing this is the person that inspired so many bad reviews.

In regards to other posts about the «rules». Those «rules» are in place for a reason, and if you go to any other high end bridal shop that is worth the money you’ll find the same rules. They are in effect out of respect for the business, but most importantly, for the brides shopping there.
The staff was excellent and experienced in helping me find what would truly be functional and beautiful on me for my big day!

I had a good experience here. My consultant was very sweet and knowledgeable. I was looking for dresses off the rack, and they had some very good deals on their racks, including several clearance deals. They have a great variety of beautiful dresses. They have a nice area for trying on dresses, including pedestals, spotlight lighting, and 180 degree mirrors.

Can you leave no stars??? BEWARE new brides!!! I would say don’t go here at all, there are many other choices on the north side of Indianapolis. However if you feel like you need to go here make sure it’s not your first stop because it will ruin your wedding dress experience!
I made that mistake… this was my first stop of the day. This store is in it for the sell and that is all. It is not the bridal experience you are looking for in anyway shape or form. They have 1000 rules here and are very rude about them.
You can try on 5 dresses and 5 dresses only. If you happen to try them on quickly because they try to shove you in a way to small size… (Yes happen to me, first dress ever) maybe you will get one more but if your lady was like mine she just walks out and picks one off the manikin that’s close. Not necessarily what you were looking for.
At the beginning of the appointment she did ask me what I was thinking about for a dress. I described what I had in mind… I’m pretty sure that went in one ear and out the other. Nothing about my appointment was personalized or original you can tell they just push people right through to get you in and out. They keep talking about your first day discount… That’s because their dresses are marked up to begin with. Be careful!
So to sum this up! When looking to go bridal dress shopping just skip right over this place and go to one of the much more friendly places down the street.

I was incredible hesitant to try the Bridal Super Store due to countless negative reviews from fellow Bride-​to-​Be Unilocalers and friends who have personally had nightmare experiences at this store. However, there were several designers that they carried that I wanted to see and their price point fit my budget. I was told to be prepared to experience Seinfeld caliber ‘Soup Nazi’ dynamics and attitude. (If you don’t get this reference, Google ‘Seinfeld Soup Nazi and you’ll understand. You’re welcome for the 90’s cultural lesson).
I went initially by myself and when I checked in at the counter (which is a must and not just suggested), I let them know that no I didn’t have an appointment but I just wanted to look to see if I wanted to set up an appointment. I was concerned I’d be met with resistance, but they were OK and let me look at the dresses on my own. A sales woman checked on me but not in a overbearing manner. I found several dresses I likes so made an appointment for a week out.
I was intentional to make my appointment on a weekday since it was Prom season and engagement season was in full swing so I knew weekends would be insane. I also schedulee my appointments for just after the store opening so that they wouldn’t be super behind or swamped. If you can, make a weekday appointment to save you unnecessary headache. Also, I suggest coming with one or two people max. It just makes the whole process much easier and things go much smoother. I tried on all 5 of my dresses with my mom and get measurement in the time it took another woman to try on just two with a group of 5.
For my appointment, I worked with Julie who was a super friendly and knowledgeable sales person. I had been to a few other stores and being in my 30’s I know what I like, what I can afford and most importantly, what complement my body. This was helpful since Julie could direct me to dresses that I knew I liked so I didn’t waste time. She also didn’t try to pressure me into a dress that didn’t meet my taste or body shape.
Yes, they only let you have an hour and you can only try on 5 dress selections. Yes, they do pressure to buy on your appointment so you can get their special discount. While this is all annoying, there were a lot of positives I experienced during my visit. They let me start my appointments early since I arrive ahead of schedule. Julie stuck to my budget and didn’t try to slip in dresses outside of it and even made sure the dresses I picked we’re in the budget just so I didn’t have any surprises. This was important to me since I had experienced several other stores who completely ignored my budget. She also had a great dynamic working with my mom and myself so that our opinion were both heard. It was seriously impressive to see her balance the mother of the bride needs and expectations with that of the bride.
All in all, I really had a good experience from start to finish. Everyone was easy to work with and professional. I get the need for rules and the policies because while we were there it was crazy with girls trying to find prom dresses and large groups (5+) coming in to find wedding dresses.
I still have to get my dress and go through fittings/​alterations so I’ll update as these appointments occur.

Short version: Hey Brides, want to ruin your day? Just come on down to Posie Patch.
Long drawn-​out super-​lengthy-​to-​read-​version: BEWARE! This store treats customers (and staff) poorly and just wants to sell sell sell. The Manager Eric is a real piece of work. He does not understand the bridal industry. Or shopping. Or customer service. But he does understand manipulation games and will bring your bride to tears. Guaranteed. Read the other reviews and bear with the long review. I’m doing my Unilocalin’ best to warn you.
Okay so here is what went down:
I was only in town for a short visit. Called ahead to make an appointment. But Eric was very hesitant. He said they offer a 20% discount if you buy your dress during the first visit. Look first then book an appointment to try on and buy your dress same day. That’s alright I told him, it’s my first visit but I was fine forfeiting the discount if I fall in love and have to return to purchase without it. He insisted that he didn’t want me to miss the discount. Okay, fine. I know how this works. You basically don’t want me to take up an appointment with your staff, take up your time, try own dresses, and then walk out with no purchase that day. You want to book appointments, and book sales = same visit. So I come in anyway and just browse.
Immediately you cannot miss Eric because he watches the front register like a hawk and looks out for ‘RULE-​BREAKERS’ on the floor. His voice SCOLDING THE CUSTOMERS AND STAFF carries over the rows of gowns. Then the phone rings. He lectures each call about ‘Well, I HATE FOR YOU TO LOSE the discount. You’ll want to BUY THE FIRST DAY you try on.‘
And then drama begins.
A bride comes in shopping with her bridesmaid. She’s excited and working with a staff member to pick out her gowns. Eric shouts at them. WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!? You cannot just pick up the dresses of the rack?!! WE DON’T WORK THAT WAY. And its only 15 total!!! The staff tells him but she only has 13 not 15 so he shouldn’t yell at her anyway. HE SHOUTS that you cannot take a dress off the rack. These are heavy! And actually you are only allowed to try on 5 after all. A small crowd forms (including me) to witness this very UNPROFESSIONAL display, The staff member runs off like a scolded child and the customer has Eric IN HER FACE WAVING HIS FINGER. The customer said Sorry she didn’t realize and he proceeded to LECTURE HER about how there are ‘rules’ in the store. The customer said Sorry again and that the store associate told her SHE HAD TO BE QUICK so she was trying to try on as many as she could.
Drama escalates. The customer bride looked like she could cry but she stood up to Eric and his barking tone. She tells Eric that he doesn’t need to get in her PERSONAL SPACE. I give props to this chic who didn’t back down. He gets into it with the customer and told her well she shouldn’t get into his personal space either. And if you don’t like it THERE’S THE DOOR, He points to the double-​doors to the run-​down-​smells-​like-​a-​goodwill-​bridal superstore. The girl must have gone off to try on dresses because I didn’t see her.
Then Eric BARKS AT ME. No pictures!!! This is a bridal store and NOT A PORTRAIT STUDIO otherwise you would be allowed to take pictures!!! Oh Sorry I tell him. This guy really enjoys lecturing. Picture the awful principal from Ferris Bueller on his soapbox about absolutely everything. So whatever. I chat with him. He tells me that they order the gowns online and they are mostly last season. That is how the prices are so low. (They all look manhandled and just so-​so). Why only appointments to try on, I ask? I just like this one dress right here and it’s lightweight and easy. He just fusses that the dresses are so heavy and with an appointment the staff ladies will do everything for you.
So basically under the GUISE of being helpful (because women are helpless creatures. And if you don’t put a 5-​dress-​limit in place their minds will explode and they will be unable to make a decision) you are PRESSURED to have an appointment to do the heavy DRESS LIFTING and you should PURCHASE RIGHT THEN AND THERE. But you better pick one the FIRST AND ONLY TIME you try on and you CAN ONLY TRY ON 5 in the largest SUPERSTORE around to make your decision QUICKER AND EASIER. YOU DON’T WANT TO LOSE THAT DISCOUNT DO YOU?!
More drama. The aforementioned bride comes RACING out of the dressing room area. I guess her 5-​dress-​try-​on-​limit was already finished. She told Eric that he needed to have BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. They get into it again and she asks him why can’t bridal dress shopping just be fun? No, he says NO, THIS IS PURPOSEFUL SHOPPING as he calls it. Expletives are fired.
I chatted with this chic on the way out. Are you okay,?! Poor thing! The manager was COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE. She looked like she was ready to cry or start throwing fists. I told her let’s start with a review to warn all the other gals. And then I recommended she go to The Wedding Studio

My sister and I both got out wedding dresses here and never even looked elsewhere. Kind staff and huge selection. Bridesmaid dresses are a bit pricey though. It’s best to go on a week day. No crowds and tons of attention devoted to just you! Loved it, sad I won’t ever have to go back.

I had an excellent experience! The selection was great. They had dresses at every price point and were very helpful in assisting me find a dress in my range. I had found a dress I liked in DC but didn’t want to purchase a dress out of town. I showed them the dress I liked and the Owners Erik and Tina went above and beyond to find a very similar dress for me to try on and ultimately order. My consultant was extremely nice and professional. I enjoyed my experience and would recommend this store to any new bride. I can’t wait to see my dress when it comes in.

Rude and snippy. They roll out a list of rules when you walk in the door and the lady helping me made me feel guilty when I didn’t like a dress. Oh and considering you book an appointment a month in advance you would assume they wouldn’t make your family sit in front of the entrance door and make me walk across the store to show them what I’m trying on… Guess I was wrong. They also clearly have no idea what they are doing. They never even clipped the dresses to fit me to get a feel for how they would look! She left them baggy on me and pressured me to buy right away. Do not go here! It will only stress you out more! Also, don’t bother bringing a camera. They forbid you from taking any pictures.

I went as a bride-​to-​be looking for my wedding dress. I did have an appointment. It is better if you get an appointment. I took my mother and 2 bridesmaids. You can only bring 3 guests with you. Wear appropriate undergarments. You will have a lady helping you into your dress. So wear underwear that you are comfortable being seen in.
First, the dresses they offer are good quality. They will help you find a dress that is under budget and that fits. They have a wide range of sizes and an adjacent alteration shop that you can take your dress to. I went to another shop to compare what I found and to see how I felt about the shop. I realized that The Posie Patch was just the best for the price. I found my dress here and I love it. It needs some alterations but that is normal. Expect that.
Teresa was the lady who helped me and she was the sweetest lady! She was fun and energetic. She wasn’t too pushy and she guided me to the right dresses once I told her what I was looking for.
My best advice is have fun. You (hopefully) are only going to do this once and it should be an enjoyable experience. Laugh, joke, and just be you. Also have an idea of what kind of dress you are looking for. It is easier for them to help you if you have some idea. For example, I wanted a tea length dress with lace. I also found that I really enjoyed the style of Justin Alexander dresses. That is a good starting point. Look online before you go. Decide what you like and don’t like.

I had the same bad experience at this store like many other brides have had. First off, don’t bother coming here if you wear anything over size 10! Their limited selection of plus size wedding dresses was insulting. There are many beautiful, sparkly dresses but they only come in sizes 8 – 10 and were very expensive. Most dresses were well over $ 1200. I was taken to the clearance section because that was the only area to try on larger sized dresses. I considered walking out because I didn’t like even one dress in the clearance section. The sales person also called me «big» which was insulting considering I’m a size 16. The clearance dresses were all dirty and had clearly been tried on many times. You are also only able to try on 5 gowns. I will definitely not return.

The worst experience I’ve ever had at a Bridal store! And I’m 35, so I’ve been to several. The staff was all old crabby ladies who were more concerned with abiding by the 117 rules than making the dress shopping experience ANY kind of enjoyable. The only reason this gets even one star is because I don’t know how to rate it negative stars. The store itself is confusing & hard to shop. The dresses are fairly expensive. And if you are over a size 10 dress you should not even waste your time, BC they do not have dresses for you to try on. My sister left in tears due to the culmination of all of these severely lacking customer service issues.

The bridal store was okay but they only let you take 5 dress at a time and limit appointments to 1 hour — I understand this is typical, but it’s still places pressure on the bride. THEN, they pressure you to buy (or put money down) on the dress the first visit in order to get a discount on it later. This is not bad if you know what you’re looking for, but for someone just starting out dress shopping it’s unreasonable to expect that from a bride.
Overall, not pleased with the experience. Customer service should come first! I felt pressured and also that the consultant was disappointed in me for not picking a dress on my first visit in order to receive a 20% discount — even though the one I liked was way outside my budget.
Went to another high end shop where the appointments were 1 ½ hrs — imagine that! — and bought my dress there — WITHIN BUDGET.
I would say Posie, consider re-​evaluating your customer experience process. I would have liked to get the dress that was out of budget but I needed to discuss that with others first and that cost me money on that dress in the long run — if I had purchased it.

I called the day before the woman said I didn’t have to make an apt and walk ins were welcome. Unfortunately my friend I brought had her son (in a stroller) and children under 12 weren’t allowed on the floor. I had to hunt through the dresses alone. The woman came up to me introduced herself and seemed like she was going to help I told her what I was looking for and she found me 0 dresses that had the look. Then she left me on my own, there is a lot of dresses to look at it is a really big store but all those dresses do no good for a customer if you don’t know where any thing is. I went to Sophia’s the next day and found my gown in my price range.

This was the first bridal store I went into looking for my wedding dress. Sherry was my helper and she was WONDERFUL! The first think she said to me was that I looked «classy»! which made me laugh. She later told me it was because I was wearing pearls and she though it made me look classy. The experience was a very positive one. The store is so big and has so many dresses, it can be a bit overwhelming. she helped me pick out 5 dresses to start. It was the 5^th dress I tried on that I ended up getting!
The seamstress next door, Young’s Alterations did an amazing job!!! I would recommend her for anything you need altered!

I had high expectations for this store, and was extremely let down. The consultant who assisted me, Tish, seemed disinterested and made me feel very uncomfortable.
I did find a dress that I loved, it was my favorite so far, but I did not purchase it because I had a few appointments left. I had such a bad experience with Tish that I even did some research that night to see where else I could get that dress so that I would not have to see her again (or award her a commission!). The next day, I found a new dress that I loved even more and purchased it at another salon.
I gave the store two stars because I recognize that I may have had a much better experience with another consultant. Unfortunately, I left the store with a sour taste in my mouth even though I’d just found what I expected to be my wedding dress.
