First let me start by saying I love The Waffle House. I eat at different locations all around the country. In fact this location is two miles from my home and I didn’t know it was there! As soon as I found it I made plans to go there the following Saturday for breakfast. Saturday came and I showed up there at about 8:00AM. It wasn’t packed with people waiting to be seated so I sat down in a booth and ordered an ice tea while I looked at the menu. And then I waited, and waited, and waited some more. I didn’t even get a smile out of my waitress, some young girl who couldn’t be over 20 years old. She was all smiles and friendly to everyone else but I was simply and obviously ignored. Have no idea why, I was friendly and certainly not«that» customer. Over the course of 30 minutes I watched her smile and greet everyone that sat at the surrounding booths, but not me. Finally I said to hell with it and put three dollars on the table and left. I went down Shadeland avenue to a carniceria/restaurant that always has fast and friendly service. I’ll update my review in another month and see how things go. This time I’ll sit at the counter.

The food is good standard Waffle House fare with a little extra love! The staff is extra friendly. As soon as we arrived they all greeted us helping us out with our son and being generally pleasant. As more customers came in they showed the same courtesy to others and greeted the Reginald’s very warmly. They were a fun group for 7am and it was a great experience and happy to attend to our needs without hesitation. Great experience.

Located a couple blocks west of I-465, they are open 24/7, with a pleasant staff. I was traveling with family during the holidays and happened upon this Waffle House while in the area. Ebony did a great job. She took our orders, delivered the meals and conversed with our little guy, making our visit most pleasant. The cook was headed outside on break, and as he passed me, offered a «thanks for stopping». I caught it after he passed, but he was already out the door before I could return the greeting. That’s just friendly! I’ll return when I can!

Ode to the Waffle House. By Andrew M. Mielke Esquire III I love me some Waffle House. I had the pleasure of dining at this fine establishment while I was in town for the Indiana State Fair. It was my first WH fix in over two years. A mere review can’t describe my bliss. So in the spirit of Deacon Jones, I will summarize my visit in the form of a Poem. Oh Waffle House How I love thee so Grits, Waffles and Hash Browns And Coffee to go. Your lovely servers, have such grace and such class But if you get out of line, they’ll whip your unworthy ass The Omelette’s and Hash brown’s are made with love and care You can have them smothered, or covered or however you dare. The smells of fried grease greet you as you walk in the door. My fluffy, delicious Omelet is a treat I adore. My stomach was happy, as I drove out of sight. Happy Hash-browns to all, and to all a Good Night.

I used to go here, had many problems, found a better WH. This location now has a new manager. so it might be better now.
