So… how have I lived in Indianapolis for almost two years and not known about City Market? After seeing such great reviews for Twenty Two Juicery, I finally made my way there and was astounded by the monstrous City Market(but that’s a whole different story!). I found my way to the small booth where the baristas were making every smoothie and acai bowl fresh! I ordered the special which was loaded with vanilla and almond butter and my sister got a green acai bowl. They were our car snacks to get us to Chicago and they kept us full and so, so satisfied! A bit pricey, but for the fresh and delicious product, it is definitely worth it. I’ll surely be making my way back for another smoothie!

I love this place. The Shasta La Vista smoothie and the traditional Acai bowl are my favorite. Everything is super fresh and made to order. $ 6 for a smoothie and $ 8 Acai bowl(which is huge, by the way) are definitely not cheap routes, but worth it from time to time.

What keeps me coming back to this spot, you ask Unilocal?Honestly, the location. The beverages are really good. Looking for more options in terms of smoothies and juices? Head up north on Mass Ave and go to Natural Born Juicers. I find myself at Twenty Two Juicery because of the location and the staff. They are very helpful, nice, and friendly. I have tried their acai bowl topped with granola and fruit — it was delicious! I have tried a couple of their juices/smoothies and I’ve liked them every time I’ve gone. They are a bit pricy for the quantity, but it’s very good. The last time I went, I got the Fancy Greens and it was my favorite so far. I wish it was a bit more chilled than how they give it to you, but I understand it’s hard to chill freshly juiced juice. I’ve also tried the Doctor’s Orders and it’s good as well. Just be on the lookout for the ingredients. Too much fruit juice is stripped from its natural fiber, so it sends your blood levels for a nice roller coaster ride. I try to get the juices with the least amount of fruit and more veggies.

This place is great. Friendly, quick customer service, and the coco sass smoothie that I had was very creamy and delicious. Almost made jury duty bearable!

Ugh. All the feels. I have only been to Twenty Two Juicery once and I’ve been thinking about my return almost every day since. I went to Twenty Two Juicery on a Friday morning for a post-workout breakfast right before work.(Treat yoself ya know?) I got the Spinilla Thrilla due to raving reviews. It didn’t disappoint and may have been the best smoothie I’ve ever had. It was thick and creamy and filling and will probably become my guilty pleasure. I was full until lunch without a grumble! The staff was kind and efficient, which is always a plus! Another plus: it’s in City Market and I’m probably there more than my own home. I love that this place is healthy and uses all natural ingredients, so you’ll basically be goddess for eating there. And… waiting doesn’t seem like a chore because you can watch your meal being made! If smoothies aren’t your thing: they have juices and acai bowls that have received mad love so let me know how those are and which one I need to get next!

Yes, I am all about it. Do not be afraid of the price of the acai bowl, I promise you will not be disappointed by the end. I had the traditional for my first one and man, I want more tomorrow. My service this time was much better than previous times. Sometimes I get really catty girls that are pissed they are making juice all day. Today I had a nice young man that was pleased to serve me up a bowl of good good. The smoothies are pretty pricey. But they do come loaded with quality ingredients so if you want a smoothie, I would splurge. Ugh, now I’m thinking about the acai bowl again… mmmmmmmm…

The smoothies here are fantastic!!! My go to is the Shasta La Vista; it is one of the best green smoothies I have had so far. It has the right amount of sweetness to accompany the spinach and kale that’s in it. I have also tried the C-Team smoothie when I had a cold and it was also quite delicious. The only thing that isn’t that great here is the acai bowls. While the acai purée itself is good, the toppings are lacking. They give way too much granola on top and only a couple of fruit options. In comparison to Vitality Bowls(my FAVE place for acai bowls) they don’t have as many fruit options and the taste overall doesn’t compare. I would go here for the smoothies! Also, don’t forget to get their rewards stamp card when you come in! For every 10 you purchase you get the 11th free.

I went here this morning(thanks Unilocal!) as it is about two blocks from my work(yay for downtown awesomeness in my life). I was worried it would be difficult to find once I was in the market… And it wasn’t. Literally you walk in the door and it is directly in front of you. The guy in front of me was getting two juices. One for his hog and one for himself(no I am not joking…). Then it was my turn! I got the peanut butter acai bowl. No idea how to pronounce it, but what I lack in pronunciation knowledge I make up for in the ability to read about the benefits of acai. Someone who reviewed said it makes a great snack or small breakfast. They say it is a meal replacement. I 100% side with them over the reviewer. They filled up my bowl(about twice the size of a fro yo container). All the way. Granola. Hemp. Bananas. Peanut butter mixed with acai. And chocolate flakes. Oh my! It looked unbelievable. I wish I had thought to take a photo. I will say it was unbelievably filling. I couldn’t finish it. Who knows what my coworkers thought if they looked inside my trash and saw purple goop with granola in it(that’s pretty much what it looks like once you’ve eaten the banana). If I had a personal mini fridge I would have had about 1⁄3 left and put it in my fridge for a snack on my break. So I go with a meal for a normal person. Or a breakfast AND snack for those who don’t eat quite as much. Would I go back? Probably three times a week — haha

I’ll be honest. I’m reluctant to try anything green or orange as I have serious texture issues with food and often don’t like veggies because of texture. Sooo… knowing that I need veggies and ways to intake then without facing my texture issues, I’m always looking for alternative ways to eat healthy and get veggies and fruit(besides eating whole raw veggies/fruit). Enter Twenty Two and their tasty smoothies! I particularly like their PB& Awesome or their Spinilla Thrilla! I love that I’m getting spinach in the Thrilla smoothie, so I often get it when we visit them at City Market. The texture is a non-issue as the smoothie is a perfect shake texture. Plus, none that I’ve tried have been too sweet. Best part? They fill you up! So, if you’re at the Market to get a tasty lunch/dinner, be forewarned that if you start with a smoothie, you’ll not be able to eat much else. Or, if you get one after your meal, you’ll probably struggle to finish! :)

Review update! Because this place rocks my socks. After a four month hiatus without a Twenty Two acai bowl(sad, I know), I made my glorious return. And it did not disappoint. Luckily, I got there right at 11am on a weekday so the downtown lunch rush hadn’t started yet and I was first in line. I was walking out of there with a bowl of green goodness in hand in under 5 minutes! I LOVE that there’s a glass panel so you can watch them make your order in front of you. They are generous with the granola and strawberry toppings(seriously…she put like 4 heaping spoonfuls of strawberries on mine… no complaints here!). At $ 8, it really is a good price for the large amount you get. I didn’t know if my little paper bowl would make it under all that weight. Other places around town will run you $ 12+ for a bowl so this is a steal! I would consider this a light lunch or hefty snack if you’re looking to eat healthy!

I have two words… acai bowl. Seriously, this is some incredible stuff! I had an opportunity to learn about this wonderful local biz started by college sweethearts Leslie & Ross at Unilocal’s Big Fat Business Crush event. I stopped in to the City Market one day for lunch desperately searching for something healthy because I was detoxing at the time. I immediately hightailed it to Twenty Two Juicery & Smoothie Bar. I ordered the Traditional Acai Bowl, which at $ 8 a pop seemed pricey, but it was well worth it(and I’ve learned cheaper than most other spots). This stuff is addictive. A tasty concoction of acai berries, bananas, almond milk, strawberries, hemp granola, raw honey, and more freshly cut bananas. Delish! So filling and ridiculously healthy. It is the perfect no guilt treat.

Perfect stop to make on my lunch time stroll! I’d tried out Twenty Two with Unilocal for Valentine’s Day(celebrating their wedded owners, who are the nicest couple ever I might add) and had been meaning to get back in here again. This go around I opted for the ginger bomb because I’ve been on a real ginger high lately(apparently in all aspects of my life…) and I loved it! It was hard for me to not go with something more«greeny» or super fruity but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this despite that it has celery in it which I’m not a huge fan of. The wait is sometimes long, but STICKAROUND! It’s well worth it and a much healthier alternative to that afternoon diet soda you usually grab for!

When I go here, I can’t help it: my «smoothie face» as co-owner Ross calls it, is ALWAYS on. I’m talking the huge eyes-I-am-so-excited-about-the-deliciousness-you-are-whipping-up-and-I-can’t-wait-to-eat-it face. Their acai bowls are my favorite treat. The Tropic Bowl, topped with granola, bananas and coconut is my favorite. I love leaving 22 feeling satisfied and knowing my body is thanking me, too.

Only place I know of in Indy to get an acai bowl. I first tried these out in California and was so excited to find this back here in Indiana. They are so fresh and very healthy. The taste is spot on compared to other places I have been. Just be prepared for a rather long wait(10 – 15 min) during lunch hours.

When I’ve been on a bad eating kick, I can always count on Twenty Two to punt me back into shape with one of their delicious smoothies or juices. The combinations, although, simple enough, are delicious and refreshing. Green juice is no longer scary! My favorite smoothie is the Almondo. If you’re a nut lover like myself, you will love the fact this drink has both almond butter and almond milk. A lunch favorite is one of their acai bowls. They’re light and refreshing, but also really do keep you full for hours. Thank you, Twenty Two, for being a great addition to City Market and for making me realize that eating healthy sometimes can be fun, despite my many other food adventures!

I love this place. All of the smoothies I’ve tried have been amazing and made extremely well. The acai bowl is a personal favorite of mine. It is a meal in itself and will leave you feeling rejuvenated and healthy! Only downfall is they usually have a line as it takes a while to get your drink/bowl. Patience is a virtue, especially for a fabulous product.

I love my «live to eat» motto, but it does take a toll on my system. Some days, especially after a day or two of indulgences, I need to hit the restart button. Cue in Twenty Two Juicery, where I am guaranteed a boost that has my stomach feeling like it’s having a rejuvenating spa day. My top picks: –Fancy Greens(Kale, Spinach, Parsley, Cucumber, Celery, Apple, Lemon, and Ginger) –Dr.‘s Orders(Carrot, Apple, Orange, Lemon, Ginger, Turmeric, Cayenne, Cinnamon, and Honey) –Can’t Beet It(Beet, Carrot, Apple, Lemon, and Ginger) (I have also had the Crowd Pleaser and Acai Bowl, thanks to Unilocal, and both of them deserve to be ordered.)

This is my go-to juice bar downtown. Those days I really craze my juice and forget to make before leaving the apartment, they totally gots the hookup. I’ll ride my 10-speed down to the City Market to relax my mind. I’ll stroll through market, looking at all the fried, fatty, carb-o-licious options when I finally make it to the counter of TwentyTwo. I like to think of the guy making juices as a“juice barista” because he really puts time and effort into making sure the balance of the juice is just right. Cutting the ends off the carrots. Straining the foam. Just a squeeze of lemon. It’s such a meticulous process. And now… the finale! Fancy Greens for a mental pick-me-up, or Can’t Beet It when I’m stressed. Nothing compares to the pure, beautiful taste of drinking real juice from real foods!

The only bad thing I have to say about this place is it’s not open for 24 hours! This is my second time going and the owners are so nice and creative with their flavors. Don’t be too offended of they don’t talk much it’s probably because of the huge line they must serve. The three drinks I got were delicious and I have no complaints. My favorite is «kale yeah»! I like my juices iced and they don’t ice them so bring a cup of ice if you’re like me. Otherwise you must go!
