Our Jerky & Smokies are the original finger food made of 100% USDA inspected Top Round Steak and premium cuts of turkey and exotic meats. We strive to provide you with high quality products, good prices, unmatched customer service and fast shipping.

All types of beef jerky and pork and beef smokies. Also have exotics such as alligator, salmon, elk, buffalo kangaroo, and venison.

History

Established in 2013.

New shop here in Indiana Tommy’s was established in Ohio in a small town town called mentor and has grown to 15 stores in the past 6 years.

Recently retired from the sheet metal union and was looking for a small business opportunity when I stumbled upon Tommy’s in Ohio and decided I liked his jerky enough to open a store here in Indiana. I have always been in the customer service aspect of my chosen profession and I find this to be enourmously helpful. I grew up traveling quite a bit since my dad was in the military and then I went in the military in 1975. Settled in Indiana in 1997 and have been here since.

Really expensive unless you have no idea what meat cost. One dry jerk sliver of venison $ 15.00? Same for alligator and kangaroo. I hunt so I can’t see paying this amount, which is sad because I really wanted to load up.

Great place with phenomenal jerky. The trademark products aren’t «exotic» per se (although they do have a decent selection of exotic meats). The owner is a really good guy who genuinely enjoys what he does.

Love this place. Can’t believe it has taken me this long to find it. They have lots of choices and give free samples. All the jerky I have bought has remained fresh and tender. You can’t miss if you like beef jerky you need to visit!

Friendly service, huge selection, and free samples of anything. Beyond the 20+ different flavors of normal beef jerky/​sticks, they’ve got exotic meats like kangaroo and alligator. Wouldn’t you like to be able to say you sampled kangaroo? (it was delicious btw)

I wanted to give my son something different for Christmas. He occasionally hunts, along with fishing and camping. I came up with assorted jerky meats and searched the internet for exotic and traditional options. Many were way overpriced and primarily that was due to the shipping fees.
I called on my Unilocal friends and came up an option of lamb from the Binford market, duck from Goose the Market, and the most successful was Tommy’s on the Southside. I was excited to see that I could buy in town and affordably, along with so many choices! I called a couple of times to check out availability, and found very professional help.
The night I traveled down to the opposite side of town, I happened to meet the owner, a very nice guy. He was just about to leave when I pulled in, but stayed to help. He explained all the options, gave me samples to try on the spot, and helped me choose the right ones. He also gave me a slight discount for traveling so far!

This store has a mind-​boggling variety of jerky. And smokies.
I finally stopped in to check out this place. They carry a lot of jerky. And smokies.
Seriously, it’s a nice little store. Very friendly service. They have samples available of everything. Most of the beef jerkies and smokies are in containers with samples available. They also carry a lot of exotic wild game jerky — elk, bison, venison, alligator, etc (I really don’t remember all of them.)
Lots & lots of flavors of the beef jerky. The cherry maple jerky was very tasty. My favorite, though, was sneaky pete. It had great flavor with just the right amount of heat. I didn’t sample many of the smokies but I really loved the roasted jalapeño pork smokies — they had a pretty intense jalapeño flavor that was really great.
They carry different size bags of the jerky which is pretty nice.
This place is not cheap by far, but I’ve been to other jerky shops and their pricing is the same. But, really, the jerky here is SO much better than store-​bought crap.
