Even more incredible is that the money made by The Village Experience fuels The Village Cooperative, the not-​for-​profit portion of the company which strives to uplift impoverished communities through tourism, micro-​financing of sustainable development projects, and artisan development. Not only do the Cooperative’s projects gain the opportunity to grow and flourish, but travelers from the developed world can experience the village firsthand through cultural activities (such as cooking classes in Thailand or boating down the Nile), adventure (such as safaris in Kenya, camping under the stars with the Bedouins, or ziplining through the jungle), and service.
