Just absolutely love the joint. Worth a trip from Mars. Climb the highest mountain, swim the deepest sea, just go.

Interesting stuff. Had I not had it plugged into my GPS I may never have found it. Totally worth a look. Some vintage. A new take on the victory garden art. Lots of trinkets and knick knacks and kitch.

Such a great place. Tucked away behind the end of Mass Ave and filled with things that are beautiful and rugged and well-loved I got with a smattering of new things with great design elements. The proprietor is the best reason to go. Never will you find a kinder heart or more lovely person. He has an eye for beauty in the most undiscovered places.

The coolest place to shop in Indy. No, really, it’s usually cool in here, Kris is kool, & his eclectic mix of old & new is waay cool. This fantastic old building charms the pants off ya! It whispers stories of days when it served the neighborhood of Cottage Home groceries & liquor. So glad buildings like this can be saved & loved, not destroyed. Kris is a sweetheart with a savvy eye; modern prints with bold colors draw attention on the walls, while tiny vintage projector slides of art & travel ask to be examined up close. Collections of ceramics & pottery & drinkware will intrigue you. Tables, stools, lighting that fit right in anywhere. Antlers, arrows, airplane propellers. A startlingly large calendar commands a large swath of wall; I found one was a great addition to my home, fun to draw & plan on each month. Industrial, rustic, mid modern & today reside together here. Always interesting, a trip to the Inventorialist yields results.

Very rarely do I walk into a place and am in awe. I found this place absolutely fascinating. Not only did I enjoy exploring the store, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kris, who is warm, personable, and genuine. His passion for collecting is evident because the store is full of carefully selected new and antique items. I generally steer away from«antique» stores because some are honestly full of junk. The Inventorialist does not fall into this category and is full of beautiful and fascinating items. Furniture, vases, jewelry, and so much more. I spotted a lovely mod inspired vase and the coolest gold zodiac tumblers. This is a place I plan to visit regularly just to see what wonderful things Kris finds. Be sure to follow The Inventorialist on Instagram. Kris has quite an artistic eye and always post beautiful photos of his inventory. Thanks to his Instagram page, I fell in love with this store before I even set foot inside. I can’t wait to visit in the warmer months when he offers a variety of fresh flowers. As a previous reviewer mentioned, this place is well worth a trip off the beaten path. Also thanks Unilocal for sharing info about this incredible store on the Unilocal Instagram page.

Tucked away in Cottage Homes, I think it would be hard to find this place unless you knew what you were looking for. Heck. we knew where it was and still got lost trying to get there. Off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trip. The shop reminded me of shopping at an antique store when I was a child with my parents in the basement of an old high school a few miles from home. You never knew what you would find as you explored. I felt the same way walking through Kristopher’s shop. A one-of-a-kind Indianapolis print here. airplane slides here. punching bag there. Each lap around the shop and you’ll see something different. Another thing you’ll see here is the plants. From the moment you walk up the steps you’ll see someone with talent cares for the boxes out front, and the plants and flowers inside aren’t something you’ll find at a florist anywhere around here. $ 20 gets you a great arrangement that scream to be placed in a mason jar or glass milk jug. The next time someone says they want to go to Midland or one of those big antique places, we’ll be diverting to The Inventorialist first.

Does your living environment need something beautiful to promote your well being? Kris Bowman, the Inventorialist, has a practiced eye to collect antiques, mid century modern, and industrial chic that are always perfect for that space you need to fill. Oh did I mention the art? Great prints and all of the plants. Maybe you could all this a lifestyle shop. I don’t know. Just go.

Adorable little antique shop with some great finds and lovely plants on a quiet little street close to downtown, on the near East Side. Great succulents as well as cut flowers, and old glass bottles and milk jugs to take them home in. The guy behind the counter was extremely nice and friendly. A great place to peruse on a Sunday afternoon, and it’s very close to Mass Ave.

I have been excited to visit this place since I read an article written by Historic Indianapolis( ). Really great story about the building and its former occupants. Once I found out that there was a great little place that decided to set up shop in this cool building I was totally in. The shop is tucked back away in a neighborhood and is away from the foot traffic of Mass Ave, but the short little walk or bike ride there is totally worth it. The building has some character, which plays in well with the items available for purchase. There is everything from fresh cut flowers and plants to antiques to locally made items from different artisans. The owner, Kristofer, is extremely friendly and has cool stories about the items in his shop. It is a small shop, but there is quite a bit to still look at without it being too cluttery. This will help me fill the void that I have had since Rouge Décor left Fountain Square. I look forward to coming back soon. Take a little time one weekend to wander over, meet Kristofer and check out this great store.
