The Escape Room Indianapolis

Had a fun time in the Spy Room. Great puzzles and each section was different then the last. Shelby was awesome and really kept us on track.

My group had a blast in the Art Gallery room. We were tasked with putting together clues and stealing the Mona Lisa. It was so much fun! Everyone worked together, and we each were able to contribute something to accomplish a task. There is a lot to figure out! Our guide Brian did a fantastic job. He was there for us when we needed him, and he helped to ensure we had a great experience. I recommend The Escape Room for a fun and unique experience!

Our office went to The Escape Room for our holiday party. We had a wonderful time in two rooms — the Bank Heist and the Art Gallery. I was on the Art Gallery team and we had a great time trying to put together the clues to steal the Mona Lisa. I was shocked at how much fun we had and how much opportunity there was to work together and use different skills to complete the tasks. We also had a wonderful guide! Shelby was fantastic and very helpful. She was engaged the entire time and made sure we had a great time. I would recommend her and the Escape Room very highly!

The Escape Room is a great addition to downtown Indianapolis. I took a bachelor party there and we had a great time. Do plan ahead as they have been filling rooms every weekend!

Took the whole family ages 4-​??? And all had a blast. Shelby was so kind and even called my nephew «little guy» the whole time, which he loved! I think it was most fun because we filled the entire group, would recommend trying to book the whole group. It was hard, interesting, and fun! Definitely worth the money – ask for Shelby! She was so kind, and super fun!

I was so excited to do this!!! So, Nick, was our leader and he explained everything in detail to us. We chose the KGB room. We had a group of 9 and no one else was in with us, so it was just our group. I’ve read it is the hardest room and I believe it. Nothing like raising your anxiety levels on a Sunday night! We had so much fun though! We definitely struggled and it wasn’t pretty, but Nick made us laugh and reminded us it was all in good fun. I don’t think I’ve danced the Bernie before that either, lol. Don’t want to give away any secrets because it’s best to just go with the flow and be surprised! Go with an open mind, think outside the box, and treat your hint giver as your new bestie!

Our company had our annual Christmas party last weekend. 40 of us split up into almost all of the rooms, and while everyone had a great time, there are some serious kinks that need to be worked out. I know this is still a new business, but booking our party was extremely difficult. After an email and three voice mails to get more info, I finally received a return call. When we chose to book, I couldn’t get a hold of anyone, at all. Apparently they had taken our number down incorrectly? There seem to be organizational issues, as well as personnel issues. Upon arrival, the front desk woman was rude and abrupt. Our individual room employee, Angel, was sweet and helpful but the other groups complained of employees that didn’t seem to care whether they «escaped» or not. The jail break room’s tv wasn’t functioning, which is a big part of getting out of the room. To top it off, when we booked, their website listed a lounge. Now, being a Christmas party, drinks being involved was important. We arrived and were told there was no lounge, that it was «in process.» Their website has been updated, but we had some unhappy people when they found out alcohol wasn’t available.
After a group discussion, we all agreed that it was a great time despite some mishaps, and that we would all return. We would just like to see the details worked out in the future! It was a great team building exercise as well as being fun for the spouses.

My husband and I visited the escape room during the thanksgiving weekend. The staff was nice upon check in and our room guide/​host Isaiah was amazing. He provided clear instructions and answered all questions about the room/​escape. He even spoke in an accent to reflect the era! We will be back!

Defeated by the KGB! Rats! What a neat concept and fun group experience! At $ 30 per participant I was a bit skeptical about this new attraction in downtown Indy in a converted office space. I was very impressed with the quality of the experience and the attention to detail in complexity of our chose room. Our group of 11 took on one of the more difficult of 7 rooms and had hunt for clues while navigate through rooms to find the antidote and key to freedom.
We went as part of a birthday party but at last minute the birthday girl fell ill and couldn’t join us. The staff there were so wonderful that they brought out birthday hats and a sign and offered to sing to our friend with us so we could tape it and send to her. So very thoughtful!
Get ready to think like a spy and work as a team to solve puzzles, crack codes and even tackle Russian and Math!!! Each room has an hour time limit so be ready to think fast and divide and conquer.
We will defiantly be back!

Shelby and Jared helped make our time enjoyable. The KGB room is pretty challenging. Our party had done an escape room in Ft Lauderdale and found the KGB room more difficult. That said, we definitely had fun.

I was a bit skeptical going into this because the experience I had with the staff upfront left a lot to be desired. I get it though — the place is still new and they’re probably still working some things out. When I first called to ask questions, the woman could not answer any of my questions — she put me on hold twice to ask someone else and then put another woman on the phone who knew about 5% more information than she did. All I wanted to know was: if I was coming with a group of people and we wanted to be sure to have the room to ourselves, is there a special rate to book a room privately or do we need to purchase all of the tickets for that room — this was for a group of about 7 – 10 people. The answer I got was that the woman on the line could not answer this question because they have an event planner that does that; she took down my information and said the planner would call me. Over a week later, no call. For the record — the answer is only groups of 25 or more get special rates.
So, I called again. This time I think I must have spoken to the owner. He was surprised by the experience I explained above and made extra efforts to make it right by emailing me 1 free ticket. Nice!
So now the good part — we went for one of the advanced rooms (Bank Heist), even though it was our first time. I’ll keep the description limited because I don’t want to reveal any of the mystery, but the room itself was pretty neat and the clues were detailed and involved. Way fun experience and we’re ready to go back and tackle another room. We didn’t escape the Bank Heist but we came pretty darn close. Be prepared though, the advanced room is for sure a high level of difficulty.

Escape Room Indy was an unexpected surprise! I went in without any idea of what to expect or plan for. If you’ve ever read the DaVinci Code, this is a super fun way to experience that same fast-​paced problem solving for yourself.
Filled with cryptograms, puzzles, and mind-​bending twists and turns, Escape Room Indy is an experience like no other. This is a great team building activity, or just a fun night out among friends.
Go to Escape Room Indy and see if you can break free. And, I hate to give away a single clue (hint, hint) about the experience, but if you’re lucky, and just clever enough, you might get to see a pretty lady’s enigmatic smile. ;-)

Better than I expected. Fun, challenging, good surprises. Glad I went with a group of friends. We laughed and talked about the Art Gallery escape the whole night.

Loved it! We drove 90 miles for this and it was WORTH it! Wish we had booked two rooms.
Our room host INDIA was great! She was very excited and enthusiastic. She really wanted us to succeed.
The hints are helpful but I felt like we got a lot more than I would have liked.
Plenty of challenging puzzles and excitement. We WILL be back!

Four of my friends and I drove over 100 miles for a girl’s night out in Indianapolis. We decided to try The Escape Room and had a blast. We chose the Jail Break room. Our jailer «Aigner» was excellent. She was as excited as we were when we escaped from jail and found «innocent»!
Thanks for a fun morning. We will be telling our friends about «The Escape Room».

Had a blast we did jail break our room advisor was so fun made us Dance for a clue! I would definitely recommend this to all my friends! We will be back to do the other rooms!

The Escape Room is absolutely a dream come true! I mean, as a lifelong puzzle lover, how could it not be?!
Pros: Execution was on point. They did a great job of making the clues tough. I’d have been disappointed if they were too obvious. The storyline (Jail Break) was fun and that’s about all I can say without giving anything away. Also, I am pleased with $ 30 a person, though I would recommend specials for certain times of day or a small group rate.
Cons: The reason for 4 in stead of 5 stars is the absolutely horrible, dream-​crushing teens we shared a room with. They were my worst stranger nightmare. They bogarted the clues and acted as if they were they only ones in the room. Do I understand maximizing the $ from the company’s perspective? Of course. But even a little info about an age group you’ll be sharing with would be nice. Or again, certain times of day where you can have the room to yourself for an extra cost or something (they advertise that you can buy out the whole room… but I’m not a millionaire). Also, while our guide clearly had the story memorized, she sped through it and gave clues before we asked for them. And then at the end shoved a postcard in our hand saying if we put a review on Trip Advisor and mentioned her name she got $ 5. Sorry but no.
I will of course be going back, just not until I have a big enough group of people to block the room or I hit the lottery.

Okay — so I did the KGB room. And to be honest when we first got into our room I was in completely disbelief that it was what I signed up for. BUT LOW AND BEHOLD — it was only one of three rooms inside our room. (I hope that isn’t a spoiler?) But to be honest — it was a relief that I wasn’t just stuck in one tiny room.
But to go on — it was an awesome experience! I went with coworkers and we did a pretty good job going through and finding clues. They also offer to give you hints via a TV screen in the room.
Although it is something fun, and different to do — I feel the price point is a little high. I think a solid $ 20 bucks would do the trick, rather than $ 29.
Also — I held back on my stars because I felt out «instructor» or «guide» — unsure what to really call him, was a bit odd — as he told us as one point that if we used the whip in our room we could have another clue. Is that normal?
Either or — I would probably go back again if I had a room of friends who wanted to.

Was a blast. When you first start it may seem hokey and like it might not be very fun, but once you start everything changes.
I spoke with the owner, who designed the KGB puzzle we ran through, and you could tell how much attention and time he put into it.
If you’re looking for something fun and different to do, this is the place to go.

Drove up from Bloomington to go for opening weekend and had an awesome time in the Bank Heist room with my out-​of-​town friends and a bunch of strangers!
I was actually pretty surprised how it’s not weird to be in the room with a group of strangers (I think the random group actually helped keep my friends and I from getting at each others throats in the long run… — we can be pretty competitive)
We went on opening weekend and had a few issues in the room with them tweaking their directions still, but it did not take away from the gameplay!
Well worth time and money. Will definitely be going back with my friends again. :)
