History
Established in 2013.
On the Broad Ripple Avenue strip, a new locally-owned restaurant has popped up and it’s worth a try. Inspired by his Cuban heritage, Jorge Chalgub and his business partner and daughter, Dayana, opened Taste of Havana, a Cuban sandwich shop, in August after several years in the restaurant industry. Previously managing large operations, Chalgub long envisioned several concepts for future restaurants. Once the Broad Ripple Avenue location opened, he knew it would be perfect for Taste of Havana. With authentic preparation, authentic plantain chips, bread, and black bean soup, it really does bring a Taste of Havana to Indy’s midtown.
