I love this place. The food is good and the drinks are cheap. What more do you need?! Get the spicy chicken tacos, you won’t be disappointed. Oh and the french fries are a must. They are by far some of the best I’ve ever had. Service is always just so so – my reason for the 4 stars. But I always return!

I’ve been to the Stacked Pickle on a few occasions in a few different locations and the food is decent. However, this was my worst service experience ever. I came in September to celebrate my birthday with about 7 or 8 friends. We waited for a while before even being seated, and then after being seated we waited for(and this is un-exaggerated) around 20 full minutes. Finally we had to send someone from our group to go tell a server that we hadn’t been served. Even after that it was probably another five minutes before she finally came over and took our orders. It’s not like the place was busy, either. We could see servers wandering around or goofing off, and yet our rather large group wasn’t getting served. Overall, pretty horrible experience. By the time we were served, everyone was starving. I did enjoy the Tuesday Karaōke though, so if anything, the one star I gave was for that.

Stacked Pickle is most definitely has a great atmosphere for anyone who is looking to just hang out with their friends and have a good time. They have a lot of sports flags and posters on their walls and televisions with sports games on to match. Which I believe is really smart to have because it is right next to a college campus and most college students, like myself, do not get many channels with my favorite sports. The restaurant was not quite at all, but it was just loud enough to where you would feel comfortable laughing with your friends without feeling you were disturbing another table. When my friends and I walked in, we were seated immediately and there was a waitress asking what we wanted to drinks within a few minutes of being seated. Once we got our drinks, our waitress came by our table very frequently to see if we were ready. Even though my friends and I kept getting distracted by talking, it was nice to know they are eager to get our food to us as soon as possible. It took us about thirty minutes to get our food, which I am just assuming was because our orders just took really long to cook. Once we did get our food, the waitress did not come back out to check on us at all. I would see her walk in and out of the kitchen but she never approached our table, even after we were done. I ended up having to stop another waitress to bring us our checks. I did love the food! I ordered a BBQ Chicken Melt, one friend ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and my other friend ordered a Cajun wrap, and we all agree that the food was great! I also had fried pickles for the first time, and I was definitely pleased with my experience. I do recommend this restaurant. It is great for when you are out late with friends and want to grab a bite!

I went to the Stacked Pickle with a friend tonight and my experience was average. When we first walked in, we stood at the hostess stand waiting to be seated but it took a while for someone to show up. The hostess looked at us three different times before actually talking to us or seating us. The place wasn’t busy at all, and it was a Monday night, but the service was still pretty slow. Our waiter was pretty quiet and hard to hear at times, so I don’t know if he got our orders written down correctly or not. My friend ordered the turkey burger with no bun because she can’t eat the bun. When our food came, her turkey burger was on a huge bun so I’m not sure where the miscommunication was. I had the spinach berry salad and a side of fruit. My meal was pretty good. The Stacked Pickle is one of the few places I’ve found with the strawberry vinaigrette dressing that I like. A lot of the options on the menu were typical for a sports bar. They have many types of burgers which were on special for $ 5. I didn’t know about the special until after I had already ordered, and I wish the waiter would have mentioned that they had a special going on. The Stacked Pickle has plenty of TVs to watch sports on, and the bar area was the most busy. The walls were covered in signage that gave it a college/sporty/welcoming feeling. It is a good place for groups of friends to hangout, have a drink, and get burgers or wings. However, the restaurant is pretty small so I could see it being a problem for large groups on a busier night. There was upbeat music playing, but it wasn’t too loud. My friend and I could still carry on a conversation and hear each other just fine. Overall, the Stacked Pickle is a good place for college students to eat with friends. It is affordable, especially on nights when they have specials, and it is conveniently next to IUPUI.

Sports bar. Enough said. Okay, okay, so we only tried the burger and fries. They were unexceptional. The whole experience was unexceptional.

We have been here a few times now and our experiences have been fairly consistent. Service is average, friendly but not particularly thoughtful or efficient(brings silverware after food, brings a new cup instead of just refilling water and coffee etc). They have a pretty good selection of gluten free items including buns which makes getting a burger possible and something I can appreciate. While I am not a pickle fan, my boyfriend is and with a name like«Stacked Pickle» you would expect a lot more from their fried pickle appetizer. In general the food is ok, typical of what you would expect in a bar. They have several TVs so if you are looking for a place where you can watch several games at once, they can certainly accommodate. This isn’t a wow kind of place but it will do for a quick bite!

Went on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all and our food was cold when it finally came. The waitress was awful.

Went here for the first time the other day. Some friends and I were just looking for something different that we can afford, but definitely can have a real grand time just laughing, eating, drinking and making memories. So we choose to come to the Stacked Pickle. We could sit in our corner table and watch tv and the place had a decent environment. Not too loud to where you can’t hear, but loud enough to make you feel comfortable. Our waitress was pretty funny. She admitted to us that she was new and was extra caring about her performance to our table. She did forget the plates and silverware for the appetizers, but we just laughed it off and continued. We were sooooo excited for these fried pickles. I MEANIT’S THESTACKEDPICKLE! However, when we got them, we were just severely underwhelmed. They were saltier than the Atlantic and Pacific put together and the batter just wouldn’t stay on them. Also, super slimy from the oil. Not the worst we could have, but definite room for some improvement. I got a meal with wings for a side, with a burger and fries all for a decent price. I thought wow! What a cool meal option. The wings came back, lackluster with the saucing and kind of dry. However, the burger itself was a barbecue burger and it was incredibly unsatisfying. Their fries were alright though. However, we did have fun while we were here and they have beer. So, even though I don’t really care to eat here again, I did have a good time, which what really matters.

I keep giving the Stacked Pickle a chance to change my mind but today I just couldn’t. Why serve a low quality steak in a steak sandwich and not have a steak knife in the restaurant so I can at least cut through the thick sinew and gristle on the steak. The steak was flavorless and not worth the struggle to eat it. So, it was not a pleasant meal. Move on and eat somewhere else.

Kinda loud so not the best for family’s with small kids. Great for young people. My burger was huge and very good, I would suggest splitting one with a friend. The price was normal for a bar and grill. It’s great for men like my boyfriend who like piles of onion rings and bbq on there burger. We plan to eat there again.

Truth be told, during my undergrad years at IUPUI I have been guilty of coming to this place every so often. So much that I think my 3 stars rating for this place possibly is based mainly on sentiments and memories I made at this place more than the actual quality itself. Sure the amount of food you get for the price is great, especially if you get their daily specials. On weekends or game nights this place is easily the best/affordable bar for college kids like myself. Despite the fact that their burgers can be flavorless at time, their drinks can be lacking favors sometimes. But the $ 2 draft special is too hard to resist. So i guess I will keep coming back.

I have been to multiple Stacked Pickle locations in Indy and haven’t been too disappointed. If you’re looking for late night or some greasy pub food, SP is where it’s at. Decent pub food at reasonable prices… what more could you ask for if you’re not picky. I recommend any burger off their menu and you should definitely try their signature fried pickles.

Love this place. I go on the weekends and enjoy their $ 5 burger and fry special. They always have current games playing on their huge projector screens. I’ve been here on several occasions, both lunch and dinner time. They can accommodate big parties of guests and single seats at the bar. Wait staff is primarily college girls, I’ve never seen a male server there??? Anyway, it’s a cheap place to dine, the food is good quality and if you like sports, then you’ll like it here.

Great food for a decent price! Waitress wrote the wrong sandwich down and offered to correct it but then I would be waiting while my group ate. The sandwich was good but not what I wanted.

As a college student Stacked Pickle is a great dinner/lunch spot for a night out with friends. The convenient proximity to campus is great and the atmosphere created is upbeat with the choice of tunes or relaxing with the dim lighting. My roommates and I went for dinner and each ordered something different. I really think you can’t go wrong with any choice on the menu! The burger that I had was juicy and tender and let’s face it, to a college girl, it’s a great hearty meal! Service is quick and easy, without being invasive but also gives you a chance to sit down and mingle over a meal and talk about your day! S. P is definitely a popular option among all of my college friends and a good place to take my family when they come visit. Absolutely delicious choices, pretty standard for a burger joint. Parking is a bit of a trip. If there aren’t spots right outside in The Avenue lot, you may have to park down the side street a ways. That would be my only downfall of the experience.

Two stars sounds harsh, but the«I’ve experienced better» description matches up. I’ve been here for a few game watches and never been impressed — usually slow service(even with expectations set for crowds) and the food is pretty standard. Great location for students, but if not parking is also pretty inconvenient. To watch a game or for a similar menu I’d hit Scotty’s, Kilroy’s, or BWW instead.

I’m a grad student at IUPUI so this is a nice close walk anytime we need to celebrate/relax/chat over beer. There are great beer specials and the selection is okay. There are mostly craft-ish but there are some locals and bigger crafts mixed in as well. Sadly, they don’t know how to treat their beers and serve porters in frosted glasses :(. It’s not a bad place but I don’t think I’d go out of my way for it. location, location, location.

My coworkers and I were working late in Indy on a business trip. We were sick of the hotel food so looked for a place that delivered. We had slim picking and chose the stacked pickle because of the funny name and wide selection of a menu. Our food was okay(cold) but what do you expect when you get delivery. I had the steak salad and think I would have loved it more if it were hot.

I came here with my wife for a quick workday lunch break and had a pleasant experience. They have some great specials throughout the week and we took advantage of that fact by ordering up some yummy $ 5 burgers. My burger was juicy and cooked very close to the medium-rare I ordered. The service was quick and friendly without being invasive. Our waitress did a great job keeping our drinks filled, which is always very appreciated. It was a good experience and I’d definitely come back. But maybe next time it’ll be for dinner so I can get a beer to go with my burger…

Yum! This was my first time at a stacked pickle and I will definitely be going back! I went there for a dinner meeting… not highly recommended as it’s pretty loud and hard to hear at times! Our server was highly attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed and that our dinners were nothing short of perfection. I opted for the Firecracker Shrimp Ranch Salad(ahem…this lady has a figure to watch;) and it was great! Sometimes shrimp salads give me the creeps because the shrimp has a weird flavor, but this one was delicious and a perfect portion! A great hangout for college kids as it is right next to IUPUI and across from student housing!
