I love this little store! I am a little confused on why it’s named Sakura, is it part of the Japanese restaurant next door? The food they serve at the little counter is Korean, and they seem to have more Korean wares, even Korean drama rentals. Ahh well, whatever the case, I really like this little market. The boy and I stopped in for soon dubu, kimbap and bulgogi. Omg, I can’t get over how tasty the soon dubu was. Super hot and spicy, with a raw egg yolk cooking on top.YUM. Certainly cleared up the sinus congestion I had! The kimbap perfect too, fat and dripping w/bulgogi(you can order with or without bulgogi in it).I gobbled it up. Oh wow, I’m salivating while I write this review, lol, guess where I’m going to be this weekend?

Loved the atmosphere, food, and selection in the grocery. Easy to order and eat even if you aren’t familiar with Korean food. It was our children’s first time eating authentic Korean bulgogi and they liked it so much we ordered a second serving. Also tried the bibimbap, which was fantastic.

Super friendly staff, and a great selection. I haven’t tried the food but went for cooking supplies. There are also lots of really cute kitchenware items and some really interesting looking snacks. One of the employees kindly translated when I asked what some of the ingredients were on a box of chocolates that were printed in another language. And the chocolate was YUMMY. :)

Had the bulgogi and the dukbokki(spicy Korean rice cake), both were tasty and the place seemed pretty authentic and much cleaner than some other asian grocery stores in the city. I want to try the bibimbap next…

Still there, and still going strong. They’ve simplified the menu a bit, and slightly reorganized the store. In regards to a previous reviewer, I almost always get the Bi Bim Bap, and never had a problem. Though I do order the egg cooked well done, since the standard way of making it is with the egg kind of runny.

Pretty good food but very pricy for what you’re getting. I probably won’t come here again because I can cook Korean food. Everything is expensive but I guess it can be somewhat understandable because there are barely any Korean restaurants in Indy and no Korean markets.

All right so I always get the bulgogi which is on point, but today I switched it up and got some bibimbap, which prompted this review(my first on Unilocal btw). Delicious!!! I highly recommend Sakura mart to anybody looking for Korean food in Indy

Short ribs I had today were more gristle than actual meat. I don’t mind paying a bit of a premium but at least serve a decent meal. It’s unfortunate because I’ve tried a couple other dishes and they were pretty good.

Awful service. 50 min been waited but only beer and edamame served. I do not call it busy… If they say they were busy, go out of the business !!! Taste is nothing special…

LOVE finding places like this. This is the market store. They do have a little lunch counter and the Bibimbap is to DIE for! There is also a sushi bar down the street. I am checking that place out next.

This is a nice little Asian market. I am used to Mitsuwa marketplace up in Chicago which is quite larger. They do carry some of the pastries from Pastry House Hippo which are great. They also some sushi and other food items you can order. I have picked up some already made sushi but I have not ordered anything. My husband would shop here sometimes on the weekend. We love getting the different drinks and the occasional food items. I seems that I always get the urge to come here on Mondays when they are not open so don’t be like me and forget!

Wow, a large selection of Asian staples PLUS fish PLUS Korean carry-out PLUS sushi carry-out provided by Sakura restaurant. I would say you could find almost anything you are looking for here. Staff is friendly.

Does Sakura Mart sell seaweed for seaweed salad?

Prices are hefty for my favorite Japanese gummy candies. Great kim chee and homemade foods. Hoping for more varieties of kim bap or pickled veggies, but I visited very late. Would not suggest to get your Asian veg here, the selection was small.

This market has it all. Korean, Japanese food, snacks, candy, drinks, alcohol, you name it. They even have a mini restaurant serving up Korean food. The owners are super nice and very respectful and so the only thing that prevents me from giving this 5 stars, are the prices!!! Super hiked up prices, but hey, it’s about supply and demand. Oh well, 6 dollar kim bap here I come!
