I had a corporate apartment at Renaissance Tower for 18 months when I was commuting weekly into Indianapolis from NW Indiana for a consulting gig at Eli Lilly. Keep in mind that this was back in the early nineties but I would think that most of my review should still apply. RT, at least back then, was located in a sketchy neighborhood which is somewhat better these days. But even back when I «lived» there, I didn’t feel terribly unsafe walking back from a Colts game or from elsewhere downtown. Parking was available and for the most part safe… there was a private lot on two sides of the building and it was permit only. The suite that I had was really nice… it was a corner unit that overlooked the north parking lot(so I could keep an eye on my car). All of the appliances(including microwave) worked OK, although I remember a few days here and there where the hot water in the building was on the blink. Basic cable TV was included along with a couple of movie channels. Laundry facilities were included on the ground level, which worked well for me since I was a resident of the building during the workweek. Based on my experience(which again was as a long-term corporate resident), I’d definitely recommend Renaissance Tower as a less expensive, slightly out of the way, but comfortable and well-appointed alternative to the larger chain hotels located downtown.

Cute, vintage building. Very well maintained on the outside. Great value, as long as you get one of the condos that has been updated. The condos are individually-owned, so some are updated and really nice, while others are sketchy. The area of town is decent, walking distance from a few great spots to eat, have coffee, see a show or have drinks, etc. As long as you don’t end up in the wrong spot, it has a very«up-town» feel. They are one of the few places that does month-to-month rent agreements, and I am pretty happy with it so far. All utilities, basic cable, and pretty fast wireless internet are included in the rent, and they allow pets.
