Every year, when I go to Indianapolis for a convention, I look for this place. The woman is very good at what she does, and manages to get out whatever travel pains I’ve picked up from riding in a car for 8 hours and sleeping in hotel beds. She doesn’t seem to speak English, which might be a problem if you want something very specific, but the universal language of grunting and pointing at the problem area works well enough. I prefer the store with the tables on the first floor, although it’s very isolated since Nordstrom’s went away. But I didn’t feel unsafe with them.

While down visiting the Super bowl village I came across these guys and figured what the heck. I got the 15 minute chair massage for $ 16 + $ 4 tip. I want to say that being in a mall does take away from some the somber relaxation portion and such and be ready for a real deep tisue massage. Overall not bad but being in a mall does take away a bit …

This in an interesting place because they actually have two locations. For chair massage, they are on the second floor across from Carson Pirie Scott. For table massage, they are on the first floor by the old Nordstrom. As to location, I would give 3 stars for the chair location and 4 for the table location. The chairs are right off the escalator in a high traffic location, so it can be a little loud. The table location is quieter, but since it is basically the only business around, it is pretty isolated. If you get sketched out easily like me, in the middle of the massage, you realize you’re laying there with a total stranger over you and there’s no one within earshot. But I digress… when a new store opens up in the old Nordstrom, it will be totally fine. As to technique, I’ve never had a bad massage there. They all do a great job. My favorite person is Jon, who is a huge guy, but has a very gentle touch. Prices are a bit high($ 12 for 10 minutes, $ 16 for 15, and on up), but I think the prices are pretty standard for mall massages. Please PLEASE check them out. They lost their last location to Dairy Queen, and I want them to stay in business. On days when I have a headache, I can go there over lunch for 15 minutes and feel so much better!
