History

Established in 1983.

Bruce Bryant started Promotus Advertising in 1983 during a time when there were very few African-​Americans working in the advertising business.

Today, Promotus Advertising is Indiana’s oldest, and most successful, full-​service, minority owned advertising agency. Promotus is closing in on thirty years of making positive things happen. The journey has been long, sometimes lonely and many times downright frantic. But the agency has always stayed its course.

Bruce Bryant has been doing business in promotions and advertising for 30 years and is an expert in developing marketing strategies and creative concepts. He is a national awarding producer and director for radio, television and film commercials, as well as an accomplished writer.

The Indiana Federation of Advertising Agencies (IFAA) named Bruce «Ad Person of the Year» in 1998 – 1999 and again in 2002 – 2003. He is the first African American to be named «Ad Person of the Year» and one of only three people to win the award twice. Promotus Advertising was selected as a Blue Chip Community Business Award winner for 2002.
