Yes! That’s the one; it hosts the most immense selection of beer around – with copious wine & liquor offerings to boot!
The staff’s equally expensive knowledge satiates even the most drunken boozing inquiries.
Alas! Be wary, Thirsty Traveller! The lack in price tagging quickly sobers-​up ye olde pocketbook.

Great place — good selection of all types of alcohol — I will hit it again every time I’m within the area, even if its a 30 min drive out of my way.

If heaven was full of beer, I would imagine it would be just like Parti-​Pak! The selection of craft beer here is unsurpassed by anyone else in the Indy area. Even, in the state of Indiana for that matter. You can find all American craft beer greats here as well as obscure beers from other countries such as Belgium and Germany. My only complaint is that I spend too much time and money in this store, but I can live with that.

This is the best place to get beer in the Indy area, and I don’t think it is even close.
With the thousands of different beer options out there, I have a hard time ever committing to a full 6 pack of something, and I try not to even do too much repeating of beers that I have drank previously. Because of that, I absolutely love finding a good place to get build-​your-​own 6 packs, and this is by far the best place I have found in the Indy area. It isn’t the fancy place that some of the newer giant liquor stores are, but their selection is fantastic and their prices are cheaper than anywhere else I have been. They have rows and rows of beer in a wide range of styles and from a wide variety of breweries, and they are all priced by both the full pack or individually. They have all of their beer organized together by brewery, so you need to do a little walking around if you only want a certain style, but there is no lack of options for any of them.
The prices are kind of all over the place, but I’d say the average for a good bottle is about $ 2, maybe a tad bit more. If you are on a tight budget, there are quite a few of the more basic craft stuff less than that, and if you want to splurge then some of their more exotic bottles get all the way up around $ 3.50 each. All in all, the prices are great compared to what some of the grocery store or other liquor store selections are that I have seen for individual bottles. That being said, it’s really the selection that has me the most excited each time I come here. I consider myself a pretty big craft beer enthusiast, and they have a lot of options that I have either not ever seen before, or that are just difficult to find at most places.
If craft beer isn’t your thing, they also have a wide range of cases of light beer, the mass produced «craft» things that most places have, and a ton of liquor, although the liquor is a buck or two more than I have seen elsewhere. For all of you Chicago people, this is one of the few places around that I have found that carry Old Style. You can get most of the popular beers cold, but their craft stuff in the build-​your-​own rows is all at room temperature so you don’t need to worry about keeping it all cold if you stock up during one trip. The people working there have always been nice and helpful.
If you like beer, make sure you have this on your list of places to visit in the near future. It’s worth a drive out of your way to make it.

I love this place! I can’t wait to go back! So many options to build your own six pack. The price is based on the beer so it’s up to you to go all out and get rare beers, or an eclectic mixture of your favorite go-​to brews. The prices are not on the individual bottles or on the shelf but a good rule of thumb is that if the beer is sitting in a four-​pack, it is going to be more expensive. They have a wide selection in a compact space. Don’t forget to go near the cash registers if you’re more of a can vs bottle person. I think we were so excited when we got in the door we just wanted to start picking our packs.
This is a business that does a great job of stocking lots of microbrews without any fuss. My 6 pack of beers from smaller breweries was $ 13 after tax (I rounded up). I will definitely go again!
Tip: look for an empty, or nearly empty six pack holder on the shelves to safely get your beer to the counter to check out.

Looking for an obscure liquor or beer and can’t find it at your usually stop? This is the place to go. Don’t let looks deceive you, they have liquor everywhere. With shelves running overhead it feels more like a library than a liquor store. And the best part for me was the insane selection of tiny liquor bottles. I am a sucker for tiny bottles. And they have over 100 different selections. And to top it all off, we talked to 3 different employees and they were not only friendly, but helpful as well.

Not impressive by the outside but they have a GREAT selection of beer and liquor. I created a 6 pack and had a hard time choosing between everything! Bookmarked and going back!

Never would have expected such a huge selection of our Wisconsin favorites (hinterland beer!), yet alone an extreme packer fan at the register. But I have a feeling that this place has most of your hard-​to-​find microbrews stacked 12 feet high and bottles of liquor that have been discontinued for a few decades.

Another liquor store employee suggested we stop here after trying to find Crispin Extra Day (cannot find anything but the regular, anywhere.) They not only had that, but some other near-​impossible to find liqueurs as well. Great staff, friendly and always willing to double/​triple check to see if something was hidden away. The beer selection is frankly astounding and overwhelming!

Found this place while visiting Indy from Florida. Was hoping to find some good microbrews to bring home. What a find this was! The staff was extremely helpful and the owner even offered ideas while walking around with me.
I’m not a liquor guy so I didn’t check that section, but the craft beer selection was great. I was looking more for locals but I noticed an incredibly large amount of European beers.
I visited a lot of stores looking for beers I can’t get back home and Parti-​Pak was the most helpful. I’ll be back anytime I take a trip into town. Thank you for the great service!

OUTSTANDING beer selection. Craft from around the world. Okay local selection. Huge German selection. Huge Belgian section. They have plenty of Norwegian and Swedish beers. Even more Danish beers, to wrap up Scandinavia. Hell, if it is from Europe, they have it. Japanese craft beer, REPRESENT. Best selection that I have found in Indiana (and anywhere else I have looked, honestly.)
Very, very nice rum and Irish whiskey selection. The big boys are all represented by their flagship, luxury choices.

Parti-​Pak Liquors is definitely not much to look at. In fact, from its exterior it looks like the liquor store you’d find in the «bad» part of town in any major city replete with homeless guys panhandling for spare change for booze. Have no fear, Parti-​Pak Liquors is on the far Southside of Indy right across the street from Southport Public Library so the neighborhood is safe and you won’t be accosted in the parking lot by anyone other than perhaps a Purdue fan wondering if its basketball team will ever beat IU again.
Anyway, while Parti-​Pak is a full service liquor store, its liquor and wine selection leaves a lot to be desired with better selection and prices being found elsewhere. Beer is what Parti-​Pak does best. While it does carry the popular, brewed for the masses «American» beers from the foreign-​owned Anheuser-​Busch InBev, SABMiller, and Molson Coors, Parti-Pak’s wheelhouse is its selection of American-​owned, American-​made craft beers including a comprehensive selection of Hoosier State brews at the best prices to be found on the Southside and, perhaps, the city. If those mega-​beers from foreign-​owned conglomerates are more to your liking, prices will be better elsewhere. I found my Three Floyds’ Alpha King, Triton’s Railsplitter IPA, and Upland’s Dragonfly IPA and left happy. Parti-​Pak is my stop of first choice for craft beer.

Best liquor store in Indianapolis. Every time I bring a friend there for the first time, they are amazed by the vast and overwhelming selection they have. They never disappoint and several of the staff often have great suggestions. The variety of beers they carry is unsurpassed and always pleases the beer snobs in my life.

Absolutely the best! Excellent selection of beer, wine, liquor and specialty sodas. Worth the drive if you don’t live nearby.

This is the first and last word for beer shopping in Indianapolis. Not just on the south side, in all of Indianapolis. Go ahead, try to stump them. If they don’t have it, no store in town will.

Party Pak Liquors is great! It’s really random — as Marc K. pointed out, the building is entirely unassuming. It looks just like any other liquor store and is in a location where you definitely would not expect to find an amazing selection of beers! A sign on the front window boasts that they have the largest selection of specialty beers in the city, if not the state, and once you get past the 80’s rock that they blare on the outside speakers and make your way inside, you will find out that the sign does not lie.
If you have a special beer that you can’t find anywhere else, head to Party Pak Liquors — they will probably have it, but if they don’t they will order it for you. Assembling your own six pack is one of the best parts of a trip to Party Pak! I made my own hefeweizen sampler and my boyfriend tried a variety of beers from Brooklyn Brewery. The prices aren’t bad either — mine varied from $ 1.29 to $ 1.89 a bottle!
The aisles are cramped and all of the clientele aren’t exactly beer connoisseurs, but it’s worth it!

This place is a beer lover’s paradise. I live on the northwest side, and it was totally worth the drive. They have an unbelievable selection and are very knowlegable. The staff definitely knows about beer. Apparently, they have free beer tasting from 6p-​9p on Fridays.
The building is unassuming at best and the aisles are skinny because so much is packed in to this small space. Everything can be purchased by the bottle, so it’s great for making your own new 6 pack!
