Whenever I crave local pancakes, I always think of Lincoln Square. Conveniently, they have several locations throughout the city. This review is just for this location. I have only been here once, surprisingly, as it’s not far from my apartment at all. I went in around 3pm on a Sunday and it was surprisingly steady paced with customers while we were there. The things i note about this place in comparison with other places is the interior décor. The black and white images of local downtown Indy scenes was a nice touch. The service was good, and the food satisfied my cravings. I’ll definitely be back!

Ok this is my second review. My husband and I love the food, but the bad service is a regular thing here. We went in to eat a Sunday breakfast and the experience fell pretty short. I order the same thing for my toddler every time we eat here. I do the kids breakfast with eggs, bacon, and potatoes.(Don’t remember the name) When I ordered this the waitress asked if we wanted pancakes, French toast, or waffle. I assumed they came with it as something new. Apparently, she was referring to a different menu item. When shebrought food out there were no eggs. That’s when I retold her what I had ordered and she continuously argued with me like I didn’t know what I was ordering. I ORDERTHESAMEEXACTTHINGEVERYTIMEFORMYDAUGHTER! She said she’ll get the eggs, but will charge me for them instead of taking the French toast back and bringing me eggs. She seemed to be sour about it for the rest of our breakfast. This is not customer service. I was a server and manager at a restaurant for years. That was no way to treat a customer. It’s a shame that I love the food, but because of the service will not patronize this location any longer.

Fabulous food and prices. The service is timely, professional, and friendly. Heads up – there is often a long wait on weekends!

Finally went back to L. Square on 56th St. and ordered another omelet. The service was good and my omelet was great. I now feel they are a great place for breakfast on the N. East side.

The Indy ROMEO(Retired Old Men Eating Out) paid a visit to this busy eatery this week. Clean, efficient and upbeat were the watchwords of the day. 8 of us were able to sit at a large round table — cozy but not cramped. Lively conversation among old(both meanings) friends was complemented by excellent breakfast choices. Many highly satisfying egg, pancake and/or waffle combinations — clearly cooked to order — from the usual suspects to some creative options. I especially liked my huevos rancheros which sported 2 eggs over medium with beans over a flour tortilla with a side of Mexican breakfast potatoes. Seasoned with a bit of pepper spice(though I added more from the two choices provided among the table condiments. A couple(or three) pots of good coffee completed a great gathering for this intrepid group of former basketballers now golfers.

I went there for Sunday brunch and surprisingly not a long wait. The restaurant looks as it has been recently updated, with newer finishes and city scenes on the wall. I got the standard pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage meal. It wasn’t anything spectacular but it was good. Reminds me of a grandmas kitchen. Basic menu options with nice size portions. Very hard to finish all the food. Based on my experience, I will be back when I need that fix!

Never disappointed here. Great service, food comes out quick, and cute environment. This place is baby friendly, my LO is always accommodated. Today they gave me mashed bananas for the LO and of course they had a changing station! Their coffee is ONPOINT and they have the individual coffee creamer with all sorts of flavors! My meal was also great; I had the terrific twos which came with 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 bacon strips, and hash brown… It’s a lot of food and the price was under $ 9. #winning Every time I go there is a bit of a wait but today it was only 15 minutes which was totally worth it!

I’ve been hearing about this restaurant for quite some time now and I decided that I had to go try it. When we got there we were greeted by 3 people and we got a table immediately. I think we got there around 8:10 am. The waitress was very attentive the entire time and our food came out very quickly. The menu has so so many options that it took about 10 minutes to order. I got the grilled chicken scrambler from the healthier menu and my fiancé got the chorizo skillet with two pancakes. My meal was fantastic. The scrambler had plenty of feta, spinach, tomatoes, and egg whites. I also got rye bread as the side and it came with a huge bowl of fresh fruit. The only complaint I had was that the rye had butter on it when I asked for no butter and I wish the chicken was chopped up and cooked inside the scrambler. The chorizo skillet was so tasty. I only had a few bites because it was a bit too heavy for me. I planned to eat healthy but that was all thrown out the window when I tried the pancakes. HOLYMOLY!!! It was so incredibly tasty that I ate all my food(chicken, scrambler, entire bowl of fruit, and 2 pieces of rye, AND the two HUGE pancakes that my fiancé got. Yup, it’s been 9 hours later and I’m still full and I usually eat every 2 hours. I can’t wait to go back but I probably won’t go that much because I won’t have any self control over trying their flavored pancakes. I only had the regular ‘side’ pancake and it was phenomenal. Go here.

Hate to leave this review because the food was delicious, but I met my parents here for breakfast on Saturday 2⁄13. This was the only uniting food we ate in a while together, and today all 3 of us have food poisoning. Loved the food but won’t be back. Edit — the owner messaged me to try to find a solution but really what would that be? I gave him information in regards to what we ate — I’m not sure what else I could have done to find a solution. We don’t want to return. A refund of $ 30 isn’t worth the hassle. He also essentially hinted their restaurant didn’t cause the sickness we all experienced when we were only together for that meal and that meal only — and didn’t share food. I have over 200 fair and positive reviews on this site so you can choose who you want to believe. Clearly this restaurant is very concerned about their image. He also was very unprofessional when contacting me and had misspellings and slang in messages.

I’ve been coming here a long time, just off and on. Went back, first time at this location and fell in love with it. I’ve tried several breakfast platters, all of them Meant to review the one in Westfield, oops. Hopefully this one is as good

I am proud to say I am a regular of this location — I had a leg injury and the hostess recognized me ever since and asked how I was doing! I bring parents, friends, and my boyfriend who is just as crazy about it as I am. On the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but the food is phenomenally delicious, prompt, and remarkably affordable. The prices literally can’t be beat, and you get SOMUCH food too! Absolutely wonderful. Staff is generally great, though there is one waitress that I avoid like the plague. They recently updated the décor which really brought it up to date without losing its charm. Truly a hidden gem in Indy!

If Lincoln Square is wrong, I don’t want to be right. I’ve been to the closest three locations to me and every time I walk out with a full belly and a smile on my face. I’m in LOVE with their eats! This is one of those places where no matter what you get, you can’t go wrong, because LS is da bomb.(see what I did there… just call me Dr. Seuss) I’m still standing by the b’s and g’s omelet, but honestly, the sweet options are to die for and you’d be wrong to not get one hotcake/waffle/french toast just to make your sweet tooth smile. If you’re looking for a delish bfast in Indy… look no further!

Everything is microwaved. Servers are rude and management is worse. The owner is very kind but not very present. Better options in the area with better prices and better quality!

Another wonderful location! We’ve been here a few times now and we love it. I typically go for the Country Lady Chicken Fried Steak or one of the skillets, but this last time I tried something new. My Dad was visiting from out of town and I took him here because he loves breakfast. He was looking over the menu so I had more time to linger on the offerings. I went with Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was tangy, smooth and creamy. The poached eggs were done perfectly. Hashbrowns were nice and crispy. Also, I stand corrected! I was impressed by the response the owner had to my other review. They do indeed have a head chef who tries out new concoctions! And they’re owned by a Indiana-based family :) Another reason to love this place.

Amazing breakfast sandwich! I ate here for the first time today and ordered the egg sandwich with pesto, mozzarella, and sun-dried tomatoes on a bagel. Awesome flavor. It came with a great bowl of fresh fruit. Well priced at $ 6.99. Service was good too. I will go back soon.

There are times that you go to the right place at the wrong time. Today, was one of those times for me as I visited my neighborhood Lincoln Square Pancake House before getting ready to hit downtown to Comic-Con. I’ve been to multiple Lincoln Square locations and I consider myself a fan of the always friendly, fairly tasty, and affordable Central Indiana chain of 9 restaurants. While I might have a hard time stretching Lincoln Square to anything resembling a five-star experience, it’s nearly always a four-star experience mostly due to their comfortable, customer friendly approach. So, why a 3 star experience today? First off, I will acknowledge that this particular location is my least favorite despite being the most convenient to my home. I’ve been here a handful of times and, quite honestly, I just always find the experience to be a tad off(with the exception of one visit that was exceptional). The first problem lies in something over which Lincoln Square has little control, other than the fact that they intentionally chose the location. This particular location is located in a small strip center that is clearly not a wheelchair friendly building. While an effort has obviously been made to increase its wheelchair/mobility friendliness, it’s woefully lacking. There’s only 3 – 4 accessible parking spots with none being truly ADA compliant. While the closure of the neighboring Walgreen’s has helped the parking situation, it’s still frustrating. It’s more frustrating because you have to use one of two ramps to access the building — one ramp CLEARLY not ADA compliant and in enough disrepair that one could quite easily be injured on it. The restaurant also has two glass doors into the establishment that are just a touch heavy, though they are workable. While the hosts/hostesses are always top notch here(and were today), I always find the servers to be a touch hit-and-miss. They tend to range from«Do they really want me here?» to «I feel like family.» I think the Lincoln Square philosophy leans toward the latter and that’s what I almost always find at other locations. For today’s visit, I was dining alone and, rather unusually for me, I actually arrived during the lunch hour. I was seated promptly at a four-top table right on the outer edge of the dining area next to the cashier area and not too far from the door. If you’ve learned anything about me from reading my reviews, it’s that I value my relaxation over a meal and Iove reading with my meal. My drink order was taken, the usual unsweetened iced tea, and I perused the menu to decide if I was going to go with their breakfast menu or have lunch. While I’ve typically gone for either breakfast or a chicken sandwich here, I opted for an Angus Cheeseburger for $ 7.29 that comes with fries and another side. I chose cole slaw for the side. You could have also gotten a small salad. My server, Nicole, was attentive but not quite in the«I want to rush back» kind of way. The food? I have to be honest and say it was, by far, the worst meal I’ve had at Lincoln Square — It wasn’t bad and I wouldn’t have sent it back, but I left thinking to myself«I’ll never order that again.» The cole slaw was pretty good, but the french fries were abysmal — they aren’t exactly shoestring, but they lean that direction. They were crispy, too crispy, and lacked any distinctiveness. I know I’ve had their fries before, and I don’t recall having such a negative reaction to them. I’m typically polite, mostly because I believe people generally do the best they can, but when I’m asked how everything was and the best I can muster is a «pretty good» then you know something is wrong. «Pretty good» was as polite as I could get. The angus cheeseburger was an obviously frozen patty that, once again, wasn’t bad but it sure wasn’t good. If an angus burger is prepared well, it doesn’t taste like a frozen patty. This had a chewiness to it that isn’t supposed to exist. Again, I can’t imagine ever ordering this meal again. I have it as a general rule that I don’t «complain» during a meal unless something is truly inedible(or unsafe). I abhor the idea of sending things back and I abhor the idea of folks who want a home-cooked meal — if you want a home-cooked meal, then stay home. However, I must confess I came very close to requesting a re-do on at least the fries. It didn’t help matters that the establishment was quite busy when I arrived and my wheelchair was bumped four times. As someone who is already a little spastic, this makes eating a tad difficult. I think this had more to do with the fact that I was sitting so close to the cashier(as you pay the cashier, not at the table). Then, to top it all off, I was lucky enough to be right next to a birthday that was acknowledged by staff VERY loudly. I did get my iced tea refills, with one to go, and that makes this a solid 3-star experience.

This is a good cheap go-to breakfast restaurant. It reminds me of the truck stops we used to go in Rhode Island/Connecticut. It’s nothing impressive in my opinion. I feel like it’s «olé faithful». The food alright and it’s not expensive at all. You can tell its a place where everyone goes to on a Saturday or Sunday morning. It’s a community staple, seems like the wait staff knows their customers.

Lincoln Square reminded me of all the pancake house that I used to go to as a kid with my family after church. Nostalgia commence, now! It’s a big restaurant and was really busy on the Saturday morning that I went. Service was really quick and efficient though, and the coffee was promptly brought and filled whenever we needed it. Also, they had a ton of different individual coffee creamers on the table, but they were actually good ones like Almond Joy, Pumpkin Spice, and Hazelnut. I just thought that was a nice touch. I ordered the veggie omelette with a side of pumpkin pancakes. OMGPUMPKINPANCAKES. These things were amazing. So good. Wish I would’ve just left the omelette out and just got the pancakes. Omelette was okay, kinda lacking in flavor a bit, but portions were HUGE. This egg dish was at least as big as my head. It also came with a generous portion of hashbrowns too. Overall, I really like this place, but think I’ll stray away from the omelettes but try more of their pancakes and french toast in the future.

The wife and I stopped in on a Saturday on our mission of trying as many breakfast places in Indianapolis. Turns out it was their birthday celebration for this location and they had banners and decorations up. They also gave us a coupon for our next meal at a discount. The building reminds me of a Denny’s. That said, it was a busy time on a Saturday and we had no wait. Coffee came quickly, was tasty, and was quickly refilled when empty. We put in our standard orders: whole wheat bacon pancakes for me and a traditional breakfast for the wife. When the food arrived, my wife’s looked right. Mine was regular pancakes without bacon. So i got my bowl of fruit and waited for them to make the right order. When it came out 10 minutes later I had whole strips of bacon in my wheat cakes and a side of bacon(I didn’t order a side) but I’m not saying no to more bacon. Putting whole strips in the cakes made them very difficult to eat. The cakes themselves were pretty plain. My wife’s cakes were cold, dry, and wouldn’t even melt butter. Happy we checked it off. Probably won’t rush back until I’ve been to at least 10 other places on the list. Side note: review #200!!!
