Bill & Kathleen Eckrich opened their 1st Le Peep Restaurant in Castleton on a cold, snowyday in January 1988. Business flourished immediately and Le Peep earned many «Best Breakfast», «Best Omelette» and «Best Place for Business Breakfast» awards. Additional Le Peep Restaurants were added throughout the coming years in Downtown Indy, the North Willow neighborhood, Keystone Crossing shopping area, suburban Carmel and the tech campus of Intech Park on West 71st St.

Le Peep has always been known for our professional service that has allowed us to serve so many business people throughout our great community.

On my vacation trips, I always stop here to have a brunch. I find the atmosphere pleasing, enjoyable, and very professional. The staff is always Pleasant. The food is excellent and served without delay. Prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this to any Traveller are residents of the Indianapolis area.

Le Peep was a nice surprise. Tucked into a shopping strip, you cant even see it from the road. But it lived up to its reviews. They left a carafe of coffee and pitcher of water on the table which was a good start. The breakfast menu was diverse with lots of good options. The portions were large and the food was cooked perfectly. Top it off with a helpful and friendly waitstaff and you’ve got a perfect combination for breakfast!

Le Peep has been the place my mom and I go for girls breakfast since I was a little girl. Hands down, best French toast. My dad even agrees and he is a self proclaimed French toast connoisseur. The gooey buns are also a must. So incredible. And the skillets are also wonderful. It’s all good. If you go later and don’t want breakfast, they have a spinach salad with fresh fruit that is also awesome. I can’t say enough good about this place. This is where my family takes any out of town guests for breakfast.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in the city. The best omelette and superior service to match. Never a frown, the servers greet you with the warmest smile when you come in. It never takes too long and they make sure your cup never gets half empty. A++++ in my book. Not to mention, they are affordable.

Just moved to Indy and was looking for a place to grab a bite for breakfast. I’m glad I saw the reviews for this place and decided to stop in and give it a try.
I was sat and immediately greeted. I ordered a coffee and orange juice. When the waitress came back she poured my coffee and left the coffee carafe and a carafe of water on the table. Nice touch! I asked her what her favorite skillet was and she said she liked the «Wanderer.» I decided to take her option and added mushrooms. When the skillet arrived, it was beautiful! Nice crock filled with potatoes, bacon, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, white cheddar cheese, topped with 2 perfectly done fried eggs, and served with a buttery English muffin. I was in breakfast heaven already! I really enjoyed this dish and would def recommend it. I could only finish half and boxed the rest up.
As for the service, it was prompt, the waitress was very friendly and did a nice job! She recommended the skillet I had and was there to check on me as needed.
All in all, this place is solid! I would say they could be a 5 star place, but the only thing preventing that is the décor and ambiance. It’s old looking and needs some renovation. Not a big deal to me and it kinda adds to the whole diner look and feel anyways. I will def return frequently!

Stopped for breakfast today and had a mediocre experience. In an effort to eat healthy, I ordered the Californian omelette as I love the combo of sun dried tomatoes and avocado. I cut into it and found nothing but rotten (not brown, but clearly rotten) avocados. I can’t believe the cook was actually using these. I asked Joy, our server, if I could have a new omelette or at least some fresh avocado and she kindly brought me more. While that solved the problem, it really is a shame the plate left the kitchen like that in the first place. I like LePeep but the run down atmosphere at this location is getting old. It’s time to renovate!

The beachcomber with sautéed mushrooms is my all time favorite savory breakfast. I love the coffee in carafes and the friendly staff. With kids or without I have almost always walked out happy here.

Great usage of space. Got the blizzard omelette it’s was a 7⁄10 and the bacon was cooked phenomenally. Good service as well they brought their A game to a busy Saturday morning.

The food was over all excellent. I had the desperado skillet, and it was just as I expected delicious. The service was prompt and courteous. The only thing is that they need to update the inside, it just looks cheap, but that’s just being super critical. Overall great food.

Decent food. Nice coffee (drink it like a warm tea, since it’s very light). LONG wait during weekends.
Above average breakfast food, but get there early as the seats fill up and you face a long (30 minutes or longer) wait for the same type of food you would get at other breakfast chain stores.

Alright, I’ll admit it. I’m a sucker for breakfast foods. I could eat it twice a day it’s that good. We got to this place around 9am and were seated right away, but it filled up quick. I don’t drink coffee, but it’s nice that they leave a whole carafe with you at the table! Great for those caffeine addicts :] I ordered a half order of french toast with the granola and apples — super good. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but their granola was delish! I got the half order because I wanted to order some eggs too. The half seemed pretty big though. Definitely will be going back.

This location seems to be busy whenever I go but somehow we get seated pretty quickly, which is impressive. The past two times I’ve had pancakes and the Tuscan breakfast sandwich. Both were great! The only downside was that my potatoes weren’t quite done when I got them with the sandwich, but other than that the food was good. I also really liked the fruit on the side and the fact that I could refill my own water glass as many times as necessary. :)

Meh. We were underwhelmed, especially with all the glowing reviews. While we got fast and very friendly service, the atmosphere and food quality were a let down.
I had the crepes which were a little less than fluffy and a little too rich. The filling didn’t really taste like anything expect cream cheese so I’ve had much better. I also like my coffee very strong so the weak-​ish coffee here left me wanting.
My compatriot had a big-​ol meaty breakfast of the sort that is usual in the midwest. Sausage, eggs, etc. It was much too greasy, even for these foods, and left her feeling sluggish and heavy. I have to say, breakfast has been much better, elsewhere, though not in Indy.

We went here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. We had trouble finding parking but were able to be seated quickly. I was totally underwhelmed with the interior of the restaurant. It seems like the decorations haven’t been updated in 20 years and it seems a little dirty in some places. I’m surprised that the interior is so drab because the food isn’t cheap. I think the restaurant would do even better if they updated the interior. We liked the granola blueberry pancakes and wanderer skillet. I would return for the food, but it’s best to come when it is not so busy. The tables were a bit crowded as well. The strip mall where the restaurant is located isn’t nice either.

Despite the fact that I originally gave them three stars, I always find myself coming back here, which means they’re doing something right.
You want sweet? They have it: crepes, french toast, and hearty pancakes. You prefer savory? They’ve got some kick-​ass skillets and omelettes. The last time I was here, I created my own omelette with chorizo, avacado, sun dried tomatoes, and a chipotle sauce. Ugh. Heaven on a ceramic plate.

Anytime I am in Indy and want a hearty breakfast, I eat at La Peep. Not only does it fill me up, it brings back wonderful memories of my childhood.
They have a wide variety of breakfast items… pancakes, french toast, scrambles, fritatas, omlette’s, fruit bowls and the most amazing gooey buns on the face of the planet!
Service has always been good, but be aware, there is usually a wait on the weekends.
The menu also offers lunch items (sandwiches, salads, soups, etc), but I can’t comment on them as I’ve only been to La Peep for breakfast.

My first brunch at Le Peep. We got there right in the middle of the Sunday brunch rush and waited 30 mins for a table. To me, the food was not worth the wait.
The menu looks really good, I felt it falls short on execution. The coffee was flavored water. The freshly squeezed OJ was pretty good. We ordered a half order of the battered french toast (comes with almonds and granola). I was so disappointed that they used regular sandwich bread that I could have made at home and done better. I would have liked a french loaf bread or challah. I got the beachcomber skillet, love the addition of fresh basil in it, but when i ask for a skillet I expect the mushrooms and potatoes to be cooked not just warmed up till the cheese melts on top. Overall, a very disappointing brunch.
