This is really a 3.5 star review. This is a nice local restaurant with decent Mexican food. It’s very affordable as I took a family of 7 out and spent $ 100(including adult beverages) so you really can’t beat it. Very colorful and super quick. The only complaint is that they get BUSY, so be prepared to possibly wait on a table. I had a combination meal that was tasty.

I cannot wait to go back! Please, everyone, get the chicken tortilla soup. It’s not even on the menu, but it’s AMAZING. And it’s huge! I got that, plus a side of refried beans to dip the chips into. What a pairing! It fills up fast, so plan to go early or late.

Outstanding service, very affordable, clean and food was outstanding. What a great find. So glad I stopped on way from Lafayette to airport. Great job!

Good food. Great drinks! This place is awesome from the atmosphere to the employees. The artwork they have throughout is breathtaking. Whatever you try will be good. You wouldn’t think to order chicken soup, but it is amazing! I need a reason to go back soon! If you go on a weekend expect to wait! They are popular!

So we went over the weekend and the food was good. Service was fast and everything came out super quick. I had the taco salad, my husband had Fajitas(fancy), and the kids all had quesadillas. It was soooo good except we were half-full because we ate so many darn chips with salsa before the food got to us. Man those things are addicting! My IBS did flare a up a bit but thats to be expected from certain cuisines. The three stars isn’t due to anything they did to cause my experience to be anything but great. Its more just because of how I felt later due to my own issue. Will probably go back, just for the chips and salsa haha!

I go to La Hacienda about once a month with my boyfriend. It’s our favorite Mexican place, mainly because they have fantastic fajitas and margaritas! This place stays lively quite late into the evening so it’s a great place to go to if you want to catch up with a friend or go on a date lasting later into the night.

We chose this particular location of La Hacienda based on Unilocal reviews. We got carry out and took it to Triton Brewing Company so my husband could sample local beers, and the kids and I would have something to do while he sampled beer:) The ordering process was difficult over the phone because the employee seemed distracted and rushed(which might explain the mistake made in the order). The order was not done when it was supposed to be, so we had to wait. There were several other people sitting and waiting for their orders too. After the long wait time, my daughter’s enchiladas verde wasn’t supposed to have white sauce/melted cheese on it, but they put it on anyway. The rest of the order was correct and tasted good. Because of the mistakes and wait time, however, we would try another Mexican restaurant before getting carry out from here again. We would try eating in the restaurant to give it a fair shot. It was decorated nicely and was busy, which should be an indicator that the food is good.

Service was decent. The food was quick and warm. The chicken quesadilla was luke warm. The food was bland and lacked much flavor. This is an OK place to eat.

Great Service, Great Food, and Great Prices. What more can you ask. From their Chicken Soup(which probably has a quarter of a whole chicken in it) to the Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas, You cant go wrong. We have been going there since they opened, and yes, I sometimes had both lunch and dinner there the same day, but felt grateful for the good food. There specials are great, and if you want something special, try their Pollo Fundido. It will make your mouth water and your stomach cry for more! Their Marguaritas are quite famous and good. Their beer specials are wonderful too. I only know one person who did not like my suggestion, but he has no taste. By the way, not all La Haciendas are Equal. This is the finest of any that I have been to and I have been to the one in Fort Harrison, Washington Street, and hold this one as the top Restaurant with the same name! Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick spot to have dinner, so we headed to La Hacienda. This place is close to home, but I couldn’t remember why I didn’t come here more often. It wasn’t too crowded, which is rare. This place is always packed especially during the warmer months. They have a wonderful patio. We were immediately seated, provided with salsa, and our order was taken. I couldn’t resist the margarita on special and the chimichangas. My boyfriend ordered the burrito. It didn’t take more than 15 minutes for our food to come out. I was ready to dig in. After taking a few bites of my meal, I realized why I didn’t visit this place more often. The food is just not that good. The tortillas was nice and crispy, but the dish itself was not very flavorful. My boyfriend did not enjoy his burrito. It was sloppily put together and bland. We were both underwhelmed. Now, what I did thoroughly enjoy was the frozen margarita. Oh my stars! Yes! It was delicious. I would go back time and time again for the margarita alone. Totally worth it. All and all decent visit. Excellent margarita. Good service, but the food was meh.

This place is the epitome of a great Mexican chain. Let’s face it, we all love the Mexican chain restaurant but there are things that can disappoint, easily. This is not one of those. The service was incredibly fast and friendly despite how BUSY they were today! Queso is delicious and chips are light and crispy. I got the chimichanga(which I get every Mexican restaurant) and the chicken was REAL tasty chicken with peppers and onions. Love this place and the service and will come back for sure!

I personally have to stop getting drunk here, there are kids around and it’s not appropriate. However The Margaritas are killer! The top shelf versions are only $ 20 and will get around 3 – 4 average adults into a happy place. Let me just say the food is good. I wouldn’t define my knowledge of Hispanic fare here, but if you want to have fun with friends and a sizzlin’ platter of fajitas then you have a winner. Now to be honest I’m a little past tipsy now… and it’s a Tuesday so like… whatever but I love this place so much! The décor is so colorful!

I just don’t understand the hype about this place. I ordered nachos… that didn’t come with cheese. No cheese on nachos? That’s not the kind of food I want to eat. The price is right but the food isn’t that great.

If you’ve lived in Indy for any sizeable length of time, chances are you’ve heard talk about La Hacienda(or LaHa as it is affectionately known around these parts) and their amazing chicken tortilla soup. That, along with many other Mexican favorites on the menu here, is delicious. You can’t go wrong with the arroz con pollo or quesadillas, and obviously the queso is wonderful. WARNING: the Texas margaritas are delicious but quite dangerous. Those’ll get ya! The patio is a fun place to sit in the summer and there is always enough parking as they have their own lot. LaHa is definitely about as authentic of a Mexican food experience as you can get in the Indianapolis area. Great stuff!

I could go on and on about how much I loved this place but I’ll keep it short. It’s amazing. I think about it every day still. I live in Chicago and would drive to Indy just for this one restaurant alone. I never thought I liked Mexican food before and now I realize it’s because I never had good Mexican food. And I’m from Texas so that’s means A LOT. Chips are amazing. Queso is amazing. Enchiladas are amazing. Rice and beans are amazing. And they have the green El Yucateco hot sauce! Ok I have to stop now. My mouth is watering.

I just cannot get enough of this place. I frequent this restaurant probably 3 times a week with coworkers and friends. I am partial to the Texas Fajitas but I find that the burrito fundito and the beef nachos call my name as well. I have not tried the chicken tortilla soup but every time I am there with a friend I hear rave reviews about the flavor and combination of ingredients. I don’t find the staff super friendly or not friendly. It seems they are just there to do their job and not really create an exceptional experience. So don’t expect too much while visiting this place in the way of hospitality. You can, however, expect a speedy meal. I never wait long at all to be seated or served. They certainly turn tables quickly.

Service was pretty slow and wasn’t pleased with the carne Asada. I was expecting a better steak but the sangria was good.

I’ve been a couple times recently, and the lowdown is that the food is really good but the service is spotty. this could be because both times I went were Saturday evenings. This place gets packed and doesn’t have a lot of parking options! The chicken quesadilla is huge and awesome. The fajitas could have more of a kick to them. The salsa is okay. On the flip side the prices are affordable. The vodka and tonic went down smoothly. There are TVs everywhere if you want to catch a game. Suggestions: try Adobo or La Piedad!

Wow. Just freaking wow. That’s really all I can say about the food here. I have passed by La Hacienda a few times and didn’t really think much of it. However, my last ride pass I saw the comment on their sign declaring«Best Mexican Food in Indy». Oh really, now? If you’re that bold, let’s try and see. Well, they mean what they say. It was the best Mexican food I’ve had in years. Hands down, everything and I mean EVERTHING we had was outstanding. Even the service was fast, which was impressive considering they we in the process of closing their kitchen when we ordered. The chips and salsa were on point! My tamales were prefect and the platter was large with surrounding meat and sauce. The taco was good and finally, the Pollo Dido was AMAZING! My hubby took Unilocalers advice and ordered the Chicken soup, which he had was amazing. The protons here are massive. WE had food for three days. Prices were more than reasonable. The décor was beautiful throughout the restaurant. The services were friendly. We really like this place and will go back next month for a double date. We will be customers for a long time to come.

Muy Bueno!!! La Hacienda has delicioso food and great staff! The décor had an authentic Mexican vibe all the way down to the really colorful tables and chairs. They give you chips and homemade salsa to start, which were really good! We had to ask for 2 chip refills. We also ordered a pitcher of the Texas Margarita, and let’s just say they were generous with the tequila… I ordered the Texas Fajita, which included beef, chicken and shrimp. OMG! It was so good! And really filling! I was almost able to finish it(almost). And the prices were VERY reasonable. My dish was only $ 10.95! So if you’re ever heading South on I-69, keep following the freeway to the end and take a left on Graham and head into La Hacienda.
