Indy Dance Academy is a state of the art developmental facility offering curriculum based classes, for a variety of ages and abilities (ages 18 months to adult), designed to promote body and mind awareness within the students dance education. We are committed to providing high quality, positive instruction in all facets of dance, movement, conditioning, technique and choreography.

Our curriculum is based on solid instruction from beginner to pre-​professional with age appropriate music, choreography and costuming per level. We provide students the opportunity to study technique in the following disciplines: ballet, tap, jazz, modern, musical theater, hip hop/​funk, voice, tumbling, «Mommy & Me», pre-​dance, dance combination classes, and cardio dance inspired fitness classes. We are also proud to offer therapeutic dance classes for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, through our Indy Dance All-​Inclusive program.

In addition to recreational dance classes, we are also proud of our nationally recognized youth performance and competition teams, who attend 4 regional competitions and two national conventions each year.

History

Established in 2009.

Our facility was newly constructed in the Spring of 2009 and is over 11,000 square feet with eco-​friendly finishes, as well as sanitizing stations located throughout the building to further promote the health and wellness of our dancers. We have 5 private studios in addition to our 4,500 square foot performance room (able to be divided into two large rooms) which are all equipped with state of the art sprung sub-​flooring and Marley flooring overlay. Our facility also houses a private voice room furnished with a piano. We offer a safe environment that is professionally cleaned and sanitized and our staff uses internal security cameras and alarms to monitor the safety of our students.
