The service at this location is fast and always super friendly.(I can’t speak on behalf of delivery because we’ve only ever picked up.) They have good deals for lunch and dinner that often come with soft drinks. I prefer hotbox to any other chain pizza place(i.e. Papa johns, dominoes, etc.), plus it brings back found memories from college days(pizza x, avers). Your best bet is to go basic: cheese or pepperoni pizza, breadsticks with cheese and ranch. You can’t go wrong!

Yesss to Hot Box! The pizza and breadsticks are very tasty! I always order pizzas on the Hippie crust, which is made with whole grain flour. I tend to order the Chicken Ranch or the Popeye pizza! Both have bacon, so either choice is a win! I also love their ranch dressing and cheese dipping sauces! The ranch is the perfect consistency for dipping pizza in and the cheese sauce reminds me of Pizza King’s cheese sauce!

I normally wouldn’t think to write a review on a pizza place, but this isn’t your typical pizza place and I feel they deserve some praise. My family decided on a last minute weekend getaway to Indianapolis and stayed at a hotel in Castleton less than a mile from HotBox Pizza. We had just spent the day at the children’s museum and we’re back at the hotel enjoying the pool and decided to order pizza. I went to the trusty Unilocal App for recommendations and this was the closest and had decent reviews. I must say this review is more for the customer service rather than the pizza. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza was good, but it was for two seven year olds and my wife and I so it was just a cheese pizza and some breadsticks, not to tuff and definitely not fancy, but still good none the less. Again, on to the customer service… the delivery person delivered directly to us at the pool very timely and even brought plates, forks, napkins and red pepper flakes. All a huge bonus cause we were at the pool and in a hotel with nothing. Best part, we didn’t ask for it. To me, that’s awesome customer service… above and beyond, well done, earned a customer here as well as many recommendations!

Several months ago, and admittedly out of anger, I posted what was a less than admirable review of this HotBox location. Without question it was justified. What I’ve found amazing is the result of posting on line reviews. Prior to this event, I’d never posted, good or bad. Within minutes, literally, I was contacted by the owner who could not have been more gracious and truly concerned. We had a great conversation as to what had happened and he looked at this event as a teachable moment for his staff. All in all, in my opinion, he was aces. I committed to following up on that review after I had tried them again, since then several more times. Since that event, every visit/call has been what every customer expects/wants their exchange to be, simply great; uneventful and pleasant. We just ordered again this evening and I didn’t get the young lady’s name who took our order but her demeanor could not have been any better. I should probably mention the pizza is our favorite, no bs, it’s good. Thanks again for your interest and commitment. We’ll be back.

I always enjoy Hot Box. From time to time when we’re feeling particularly lazy, the boyfriend and I will order pizza in. Because we each get our own 10″ pizza and usually smash it(because who needs self control?), we lovingly refer to it as Fat Box instead of by its actual name. Normally we order in, but a week or so ago we actually finally went in to the location. A couple of friends were passing through and our sushi plans were hosed, so pizza it was! The plan was as it normally is, we each get our own pizzas(because we can never agree on what we want), but before paying one of the guys came up and suggested we split the pizza half and half to save ourselves something like $ 7. A man after my own heart. The pizza came out pretty quickly and we dug in, watching basketball that was on the TVs in the restaurant. The pizza was delicious and everyone was happy. I enjoyed that they had water cups sat out for us so we didn’t have to ask. Most places hoard them, and I appreciated that they didn’t. The restaurant was pretty clean and we were the only ones in, save for two women waiting for a carry out order. The only thing I would suggest is to put something on the walls! The place echoes something awful. Seeing as this is outlet friendly neighborhood Hot Box, we’ll definitely be eating here again, but truthfully, we’ll probably be too lazy to go in to the store and will likely order in.

This place is a great pit stop for a quick pick up dinner after work. It takes me maybe 10 minutes to drive from my work to this restaurant, and it’s already waiting for me. It’s still definitely made to order though, so that’s amazing. The lunch deal is fantastic. Pick 2 out of 3 options: Salad, pizza, and breadsticks.$ 6! You’re thinking the portions must be paltry. They’re not! It’s a full order of breadsticks plus sauce, a full size salad, and a slice of pizza that’s equivalent to two normal slices. Their breadsticks are my favorite out of all pizza joints local or not. They also frequently host contests on their social media, and I think it’s a great way to get involved with fans.

We’ve used the Castleton location religiously, until tonight. Last order received wasn’t what we ordered. The cheese containers(3) were smashed together and had leaked thru out the bag. It’s the dismissive attitude of Andy, the manager, that frosted what was a great run. The delivery driver even left the insulated delivery bag on the porch. Given this stellar approach to customer satisfaction I’m confident his career path will blaze new trails; its your misfortune if your paths cross. I have never been as motivated as I am currently to relay our experience.

Five stars all day I am a big fan of this place after my recent visit. Fantastic and friendly service, and the pizza was magnificently prepared and came with tootsie rolls. Tootsie rolls and pizza are a match made in heaven thank you hot box pizza!

I really like HotBox Pizza. I’ve had it twice, delivered to my hotel room. One critique right out of the«Box» — the crust is just okay, maybe sliiiightly cardboardy. But, the inventive flavor combos will have me calling them again and again. I had their Spring Pie which had chorizo, tomatoes, cilantro and a couple other things. It was very tasty and a unique flavor combo. I also had the Italian Stallion salad which is by far the best salad I’ve had from a pizza delivery company. The other night I had one of their specialty pizzas — the Hot Chick — which was as spicy as I hoped.

Did you go to IU? Do you remember Pizza Express? Big 10 Special? Cheese sticks with ranch sauce at 3 am? Well, this is the breakaway Pizza Express in Indianapolis. The food is basically the same, with a few additions(even the same cups). They have moved to the 21st century though, you can order your food ahead online. I am a huge fan of the cheese sticks, they use fontina cheese and it gives them that extra sharp taste. If you are familiar with kaseri cheese from Greece, the cheese on these sticks is very similar. If you have your own oregano and sprinkle it on, they are heavenly. Oh, yeah, the pizza is good, too.

Love this place!!! Their always friendly and their drivers are so nice too. If it wouldn’t make me fat I’d eat there everyday. The pizza is amazing and they have good deals. Bead sticks and cheese bread is yummy too.

This location has officially been open a year, so I’m not sure how it has 0 reviews. Nonetheless, if you live north of 65th and easy if keystone, this is where you should order your delivery. I’ve used this hotbox for takeout and delivery. Both experiences were top notch from a service and quality point of view. There’s not much else to be said about pizza. This isn’t gourmet, but it is traditional pies done well and it’s a local chain so it wins over anything that starts with papa or uses a voice app or ordering. If you haven’t been, give them a try. Follow them on facebook to know the pie of the week(POTW). If you know what it is you get it for half off, any size.

Hot Box Pizza is a growing Indiana chain with multiple locations in Central Indiana along with South Bend and West Lafayette. I originally became familiar with Hot Box through their location in Broad Ripple, a location that seems to continue Hot Box’s hipster vibe. Along Broad Ripple Avenue, Hot Box seems like a natural outlet for those post-drinking young adults looking for a relatively harmless way to grab a bit to eat before walking or driving safely home. I doubt it’s a coincidence that their two out of town locations are in well known college towns(and I know that Bloomington used to be on the list, too). While I’ve never been a hardcore devotee of this chain with the slogan«Eat. Drink. Rebel.,» it’s one of the better options when you’re simply in the mood for a single slice and a late night snack. They seem to do an abundant business in delivery and carry out with good reason — the atmosphere in the two locations I’ve been in leaves an awful lot to be desired. Truthfully, I didn’t even know that Hot Box had a Castleton location until I was driving around today trying to find a meal that I could eat in small bites being one-day after fairly significant dental work. After a couple of stops and starts, I eyed Hot Box and figured I could surely handle a single slice and a breadstick. This location is located in a strip center in Castleton, a bit of an odd choice given the usual Hot Box vibe. Still, it works. I have no idea how long the Castleton location has been open, but given the absence of Unilocal reviews and the overall vibe of the restaurant I’m guessing not very long. Decked out in the Hot Box red and black color scheme, this location is a fairly basic locale with fairly basic tables for dining that lead up to the actual order counter. I was greeted promptly by a friendly employee who seemed to be handling the mid-afternoon crowd until his evening co-workers arrived. I immediately noticed that the restaurant had a fairly major echo going on with the acoustics and voices really carried. I was struck by how loud it seemed even though there were only a couple of other customers. Outside of their«lunch box» deal available until 2pm for $ 5.99, options for a single person are fairly slight unless you truly do just stick with a slice. While $ 5.99 for a slice and breadsticks initially seemed high, I will admit that they are generous with the breadsticks and I couldn’t finish all of mine. The«lunch box» deal allows you to order two of the following — a big slice, a salad, or breadsticks. The drink is extra and runs about $ 1.99, but you do get a rather cool re-usable plastic cup with the Hot Box logo. I thought that was a nice marketing ploy and«perk.» So, the entire thing was just over $ 8.00. I will admit that I struggled to eat the slice with«bites»(ie, with a fork). The crust is just tough enough that their plastic forks don’t easily go through it. I made it work. The pizza itself, in my case a slice of sausage, is good but far from great. It struck me as a better version of ballpark pizza. The breadsticks were fairly generic breadsticks, abundant in number but not so abundant in flavor. Among the drinks, you had your general fountain options but I was disappointed that iced tea was not an option. If I had my preference, I’d probably lean towards a 3.5 star rating for Hot Box. It’s definitely not a 4-star, but a 3-star feels a touch low. The food was decent, but there’s no way I’d ever go out of the way for it. The atmosphere was very sterile and the acoustics are so magnified that I can’t imagine having a conversation in the place if it was packed. Still, the crew was friendly and for larger parties I’m sure their varied selection would be pleasing. It did seem that the pizza gets a bit pricey the more you customize it. In a town with a growing pizza scene, Hot Box is pretty much a middle-of-the-road experience but will most likely please those looking for a delivered pizza outside the usual national chains.
