You’ve probably driven past and noticed the new beautiful building surrounded in glass. This is the IU Neuroscience Center off 16th Street and Senate. The building and environment inside is peaceful, with a calming and serene feeling. I must give a shout out to the Information reception. She is FABULOUS, helpful, friendly, caring and reassuring when your unsure where the heck your supposed to be. Actually, EVER person I’ve come in contact with whether nurse, attendee, lab, to the patient representative have been so kind and friendly. I thought at first they must be pumping happy gas through the ventilation but everyone is genuinely friendly. The Neuroscience Center has experts in a variety of specialties including neurology of course, neurosurgery; diagnostic imaging; neuro-oncology; neuro-psychology; physical medicine and rehab; neurophysicology; neuro-ophtalmogology; neurotology; and earn, nose and throat. They pride themselves in being the leader in brain and spinal care. If you need a neurologist research the Neuroscience Center online or ask you doctor for a physician recommendation and/or referral if your insurance requires. I haven’t experience the long wait times in the physician’s patient lobby, or even waiting for additional services and testing ordered within the office. I’m been called back almost at my exact scheduled time. Unusual, I know, but it happens here. They have a parking garage connected to the building and a circular drop-off driveway if necessary. Also on the first floor passed the elevators you’ll find an Einstein Bagels so you can grab a bite before or after your appointment.
