Fusek’s True Value

I was tracking down some hard to find spray paint online and saw this store had it in stock, I called ahead and they set it aside for me, I was able to pick it up a few hours later. Great service and attention to detail!
You’re able to park in the Marsh parking lot and walk over to this store. Great option for downtown dwellers. This type of good service is the foundation return business is built on.

I love that we have this store downtown. This is one example of the kind of conveniences our downtown needs. I have always found what I need for simple household projects at this store. It seems small but packs a lot of variety and the staff always knows exactly where everything is. They even offered to fix my coffee grinder once!
They are so nice. The only negative is prices are a tad high at times, but love having it nearby!

Fusek’s really rocks customer service. I work nearby and my coworkers and I run in frequently for supplies as well as screws and bolts to replace the ones we have lost.
I am definitely mechanically challenged and I truly appreciate the Fusek’s employees. A recent example: I noticed that a brake had fallen off my mobile x-​ray machine. I wheeled the entire machine into the store, two employees took a look at it then spent some time locating the correct screws and bolts. Then they repaired it, reattaching the brake and it was as good as new.
For all of this personal attention and effort they charged me fifty cents. FIFTY CENTS! I wanted to pay for their labor but they would only accept payment for the cost of the nuts and bolts.
Just try getting that level of service from any of the big box stores.
Downtown Indy is incredibly fortunate to have an old fashioned hardware store. I know that my company truly appreciates Fusek’s as a wonderful Lockerbie neighbor.

I have been shopping here for the past 5 years. I am a graduate student and need different supplies to conduct my research. I can’t buy every supply from True Value but when I think there is a slight possibility for me to find it there, I head over.
I have always found what I’m looking for. Although this store isn’t HUGE, I’m amazed at how many items they fit into that store. I have bought magnets, velcro, paint, and all sorts of other things. The prices are fantastic. I usually shop on amazon BUT this store really is a true value. They also offer 10% off to students who show their student ID. I have recommended this place to many people and the location is convenient for me.
I also want to mention that the employees have always helped me find exactly what I want and they have been very helpful. I usually go in there and don’t know where to look first but there has always been an employee who quickly comes up to me and helps me out. This place is fantastic and I highly recommend it to everyone.

My experience with Fusek’s was short and sweet but left me with a good impression!
First, the guy at the counter pointed me right where I wanted to go when I asked him where something was located (though he didn’t offer any help after that). He also politely informed me of how the Colts were doing as he was checking me out since I’m a Colts fan and he had the game playing on the TV!
What stood out to me at Fusek’s was its promotion of the 10% off first visit Unilocal check-​in offer. Big signage on the sliding doors as you enter and at the counter when you check out. And this check in offer works as advertised!
Other perk: shares a private (free, two hour limit) parking lot with the Marsh and other businesses!

I moved to downtown Indy a little over five years ago and in my time here, Fusek’s has saved me many times. Just like last week, I realized I had lost the U-​lock to my bike, called them up and they had them! Definitely saved me a trip to the burbs! Not only do they carry a ton of the things you may need from a hardware store (and more), they are super friendly and helpful and the prices aren’t crazy expensive like you would expect them to be. For those living downtown that don’t want to make a trip to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Menards, etc., always check here first. It may save you a trip and it is always nice to shop local :)

I am building a wine box for my upcoming wedding and was given an excellent experience. While they did not have the wood I need, they did cut the wood for me and took their time to make sure they got it right. They were friendly and helpful and I would go back there anytime due to the experience I had today.

Great little hardware store in downtown indy. Not too bad of prices, where else are you going to get your diy items within downtown. Friendly service and a variety of products. I have always walked out with what I needed. I always come here first when needed something for a dyi project.

Fusek’s has been my saving grace on more than one occasion. They have a great location just behind Mass Ave with plenty of parking. The staff are always friendly and greet you when you come in the door. On more than one occasion I have given a brief description of what I am looking for and they can take me directly to what I need. Prices are similar to the big box stores although they don’t carry as many options. No matter what I have never left without finding what I came through the door to find. Bonus that they give 10% when you check into Unilocal

Great little joint downtown that reminds you of a small town hardware store. The staff is super friendly and they have a lot to offer. When I came in here for a quick run to pick up paint supplies, they directed me immediately, asked if I had any questions, and were very helpful. The prices are right and even if they aren’t the «big chain» I’m going to come here because of the customer service! Need I say more?! Thanks Fusek’s!

Service was great, prompt and professional. They showed me options for my needs. They also showed me reviews on my product choices. Clean and organized.

As pretty much the only hardware store downtown Indy, I figured that this place had to be very pricey and carry a very limited selection. Wrong. Everything I’ve needed for my little place I’ve been able to purchase here. And that customer service — wow! My dad and I were trying to troubleshoot how to move a stuck washer /​dryer and the manager of the store jumped in with a very helpful suggestion (that didn’t even involve purchasing anything from his store!). The prices are fair and the convenience is great. Couldn’t ask for a better, local hardware store!

I don’t know a lot about hardware. If I have a problem with my car, my appliances, or really anything involving my house, I’m usually in the dark on what to do about it. Unless I know exactly what I want, I tend to be too overwhelmed to go to a store like Lowe’s or Home Depot. I much prefer to walk over to Fusek’s, and I’m always surprised at how easy solving any of these problems becomes.
Fusek’s has everything I would need as one of the uninitiated, without too much extra material that would really only be useful to contractors. The staff know what they’re doing, and always check in to try to help in any way they can. To be honest, I end up saving money on any purchase I make. The money I save in doing things myself with what I get here absolutely beats paying someone else to do the same thing.

The one thing that I’m reminded of every time I go here for anything, is that Fusek’s is the epitome of great customer service.
This True Value doesn’t match the selection of larger chains like Menards, Home Depot, or Lowes, but they do a great job of keeping things in stock to satisfy the needs of just about every at-​home DIYer. I’ve come here for a mix of things and have always had luck finding basic tools, fasteners, paint, and all the knick-​knacks I need for basic jobs. I have also found a few items I was a little less sure about finding here, including a large Britta filter that I needed and just recently I was happy to find Coleman white gas liquid fuel here for camping stoves that I thought I was going to have to drive to Wal-​Mart or an equally large store out of my way to get. They carry a lot of seasonal items as well, so right now they have an abundance of canning items, grilling supplies, and even items for the pool. Their key duplication service takes no time at all, and they have enough keys to match just about any that you could bring them. They have a website, but it doesn’t have the individual items that they sell like some larger stores, but I’d be willing to bet that as long as it isn’t an insanely specialized part you will have no problem finding it here.
The location is extremely convenient. It shares a parking lot with the Marsh on New Jersey, so there is always lots of parking available. This location is also located just off of the Cultural Trail, so a quick trip via bicycle is an easy option as well. The thing that keeps me coming back here more than anything is the knowledgeable staff that loves being able to help people that walk into your store. It usually doesn’t take any time at all to have one of them ask what I’m looking for and if I need any help finding it or advice on the task at hand. They always seem to know a lot more than the people I find working at Home Depot or Lowes, and they are significantly friendlier as well. They utilize every inch of space that they have available, so sometimes finding things might be tough, but the peoples that work there know where every single item is at in the store and can very quickly get it for you.
On top of that, during my last visit I was pleasantly surprised when I checked out to find that my total was 10% off. It turns out that on Monday — Friday from 4 to 6 PM they have a «happy hour» where all items that aren’t currently on sale are 10% off. I must have just never made it in during this time in the past, but that will certainly be what I am shooting for from now on.

This place seriously came to the rescue today.
My rabbit chewed my telephone cord for the internet in my apartment today, so I was on a mad dash trying to locate a new cord. After rushing to the Walgreens and CVS, I was about to just give up hope. Then for some reason I thought perhaps Marsh would.
I sat there and stared at True Value for a second and I was like should I? No, now way. It’s a hardware store. Not an internet and phone company, why would they have that? So I went into Marsh and was just thinking, man, a grocery store without an electronic section sounds like a normal grocery store, so I’m wasting my time.
I came out feeling pretty petty, pretty down, just wanted to cry my pretty little brown eyes out. But I was giving up hope, so I said I am walking into the True Value and just let the wind take me to my place.
When I stepped in, I was so surprised of how organized and neat it was. Then in less than a minute, I found the phone cords. I about passed out. the price was also beyond spectacular. I ran back home and immediately shoved that cord into the jack and started surfing away on the web.
Thanks True Value, you are pretty true and valuable to me now.

My husband and I have been living downtown for 4 years and this is our go to place for EVERYTHING. We love the fact that it gives you a very personal feel and they have EVERYTHING that you need for home repairs and cleaning.
The staff is also very friendly, although the prices are moderate, you pay for the personal support that you receive for the staff. Therefore I am grateful that they are always available for all of our needs which can be difficult to find when you live in an Urban area.

Well, whaddya know? They have paint, nails, gardening stuff, key making – pretty much all the stuff you’re looking for in a hardware store, and best of all for the super-​urban/​heart of the city dwellers: in your back yard.
It’s a bit spendier, as you might imagine, but think what you’re saving on gas from a schlep to the nomansland burbs!

Here’s a secret: if you need something for your bike downtown, on a day or at a time when bike shops are closed, Fusek’s has a bike section. Tires, tubes, locks, pumps, patches, even cheap helmets! And the tire pumps are half of what they cost at the nearby bike shop.
They are so helpful here and if you get their discount card thing, they’ll send you coupons. I’ve been here to purchase all sorts of stuff since I moved close to downtown. Although Meridian Hardware is closer to my house, Fusek’s has much better service. ALL the keys I’ve had made here have worked, including the car keys. Prices are a bit more than at some big box stores, but only by a little bit. If you live downtown, you’ll probably spend more than the difference in gas getting out to the suburbs unless you’re making a major purchase.

As close as it gets to feeling like you’re walking into a small town moms and pops hardware store… Meet Fusek’s. Your handy neighbor with sensible advice. Your go-​to for everything from paint and garden seeds to mousetraps and colorful duct tape. I’m 99.9% positive that Indy’s top 2% of friendly people in the city work here.
If you’re sporting a furrowed brow and clueless look when it comes to a handy project, I hands down recommend a visit to the crew at Fusek’s. And, to make all of your errand needs even handier, you can roll this visit together with the grocery (O’Malias) which is located in the same parking lot. The only other thing I wish they had here was a stash of plants/​veggies during the spring/​summer/​fall months. Unfortunately, space is limited.
