Freeman Tire & Automotive

Husband and I have been going here for some years now. Not that we have tons of car issues, lol, but we do buy our tires, change oil, fix, look at, etc from Freeman’s! We love this place. All someone wants is a great mechanic that isn’t so expensive, right? They are all nice, honesty and swift people.

No frills, just good people.
I’ve been to Freeman Tire & Automotive 3 times and will continue to go until they close, or I move. As a female, I always am leery of automotive places and have often felt duped into paying for unnecessary services for my vehicle. Freeman Tire and Automotive is consistently straightforward with me and explained services in layman’s terms. No, you aren’t going to find a fancy lobby, but you will get quality care. Which, is a fair enough trade for me.

My friend took her truck here for awhile, they did good on my oil change but then they did an oil change on my friend’s truck and when we got it back, it had to have an engine replacement. The new mechanic thought it was due to the engine being started with no oil in it.

I have been taking my car to Freeman Tire since I got my driver’s license, and that was more than 25 years ago. I’d never go anywhere else. (In fact, I’ve joked that if they ever moved, I’d have to move, too.) Everyone in my family takes their car to Freeman, and I’ve recommended them to many friends, too. Any time someone is having a car issue and wants a suggestion, Freeman is at the top of my list. I know nothing about cars except how to turn on the ignition and air up the tires. I’d be skeptical of most mechanics, but Freeman is trustworthy and has never done work that wasn’t warranted. If they can’t fix your car, they’ll tell you, and they’ll give you a suggestion of where to take it. These guys have old-​fashioned values and work ethic that you just don’t see in other repair shops. They’re won’t overcharge you either. As a matter of fact, I’m often surprised at how reasonable their services are. Do yourself and your car a favor and take your car to Freeman. You’ll never go anywhere else once you let them service your car the first time.
Their shop doesn’t spend money on fancy lobby furniture or pictures, so don’t be turned off by the grittiness of the sitting room. Instead, know that you’re in a downhome kind of shop, and have fun reading the clips on the bulletin board that have been posted there for as long as I can remember. They’re part of the charm of Freeman Tire.

These guys are great! Its a family owned business and it shows in the quality of the work they do-​they care. I have referred friends and family to them, and they have all been well taken care of. I recently got 4 tires put on, they called me and let me know there was another issue that needed attention. Not only did they fix it, it fixed a problem I have had that I thought was something else! (and the tires were reasonable!)

This place is great! They get busy, so call Monday or Tuesday for work done that week. I like to drop my car off on Sunday night then voila! Monday after work it’s finished. Like magic! I was told I had $ 1600 worth of damage by a body shop after an accident. I took the Jeep to Freeman’s and rather than taking me for a financial ride, they fixed the problem for under $ 300! Honest, quality work.

I love this place. If I ever have a problem with my vehicle I take it here.
It is a family operated business.- A father and son seem to run this joint, and they have a few other mechanics that are phenomenal. They are always very friendly and above all– honest. This is always the big catch with an auto shop. Most people don’t know much about vehicle maintenance and repair, and it is easy for mechanics to take advantage of their customers. Freeman’s does not do this. What does this mean?- It means that every kind of service or repair is less expensive that the other guy, and it is done right.
There have been occasions when they have forgotten to do a requested repair not done it completely right. This has never happened to me, but a couple of my friends have had trouble like this. So what do Freeman’s do?- First they did something that is unheard of in this business: They apologized profusely. It is quite obvious that they felt bad about it. They wanted to do everything they could to make it right, and they did. My friends still go to Freeman’s whenever they have trouble with their vehicles, or when they need general maintenance.
But if they are that good why would they mess up in the first place? How could they forget to do something?- First of all, they are human. Secondly, they are always incredibly busy. If you come here it is unlikely that you will find a parking space. Just park anywhere, but if you need a something I strongly advise you to call ahead and make an appointment. If you bring your vehicle in and need something that day they might be able to get to it, but it is unlikely. Call ahead. Thirdly, these guys give you a personalized service that most places wouldn’t dream of doing. If you come here regularly they will remember you– and your vehicle. If you ask them to take a look at something. They will, and they won’t charge you an hours worth of labor for it. The last time I had my tires balanced and rotated I asked them to take a look at my brakes. They did, and they said that my brakes were fine. Who does that? If I went to Car-​X, and asked them to look at my brakes– regardless of what condition they were actually in– they would tell me that I need to replace them. At Freeman’s they are trying hard to take care of you and your vehicle, and if they forget something it is because they work hard, they work well, and they are trying to do everything they can for all of their customers.
If you need a tow call Freeman’s first and ask them who they recommend. Once my fuel pump went out, and I called Freeman’s first. They gave me the tow companies number, and I received a significant discount on the tow.
