I love the hot ham and cheese on pretzel bread. The service has good days and bad, but my sandwich and the view of the canal is always a treat.

My wife and I love walking down the canal for a snack or drinks at Euphoria. Indeed its location is great, and even nestled in a touristy part of town the unique style makes it stand out. A great place to get a local IPA, chicken wings, and chill on the canal.
For a full meal you’ll get good food too. The dishes range from the expected American fare to a bit on the creative side. I enjoy the pulled pork nachos. Overall the food is probably above average for this type of place. Including some tasty ice cream!
Doga are accepted on the patio, and they have a dog menu too from Three Dog Bakery. If you’re into that kind of thing.

I love, love, love Euphoria and am thrilled that such a great restaurant is in Naptown! First off, the building it’s in, Buggs Temple, is just beautiful. The exposed ceiling rafters and stained glass windows give the space an impressive drama, yet the lighting gives it warmth. Our waiter was very helpful and conversational — the kind you tip generously because he helped make your night more enjoyable. And wow, the dinner I had here was one of the best in my life! The cheese plate, the 3 unique entrees my parents and I shared, the dessert — all out of this world! The menu changes often so I’m definitely going back to try more of this euphoric food!

We had a Groupon for Euphoria, so my husband and I decided to check it out tonight.
We started off with the Bleu Stuffed Dates. Wow! I never knew a cheese stuffed date on a roasted red beet could taste so good, but it was just lovely!
Next we tried the smoked turnip soup with crab, organges and pickled onion top. Now, my farm delivery always threatens to send turnips to my house and I always substitute them for another option. Now that I know what you can do with a turnip, I will never turn them down again. The soup could have been hotter, but it tasted wonderful. It was nice and creamy. The oranges, crab and onion were the perfect compliment.
We also opted for the 5 cheeses. Loved them all. I know you should just eat the cheese alone, but I especially enjoyed the goat and sheep cheese on the cracker with a wonderful peach jam. The jam complimentd the strong cheese and made it taste just out of this world.
For my entrée’ I had the Salmon. It was served on grits and hummus and topped with pine nuts, smoked beets, cilantro and a lemon vinagrette. This was wonderful. There wasn’t one ingredient that overpowered another. It was a very nice blend of textures. And since I am a huge fan of grits, it was a nice surprise to see them paired with something besides my morning eggs.
My husband had the Breaded Eggplant served over curried lentils and topped with turnip and wild mushroom. I had several bites and it was just great! It was so savory. The eggplant was nice and crispy.
Dessert, I had a Banana Crêpe with graham cracker gelato over chocolate and caramel. It was one of the very best desserts that I have ever had.
I have eaten at quite a few fine dining/​gourmet restaurants and I have NEVER been as impressed with the food as I was tonight. It was a little pricey, even with our Groupon we still paid about $ 70 with the tip. This place is on our list to go back. The next time we want a very special night out, we will make Euphoria the place. I am telling all my friends that are foodies to try it. Also, there was one review that complained about spotty glasses and silverware. My husband and I both complimented how sparkly and clear the glasses were while we were waiting for our server to greet us.
Overall, we had a lovely time and we would definately go back and ask for the same server. I believe that Lucas was his name. Our water glasses were NEVER empty. He was friendly and gave us first class service.

From the moment I walked in, I knew I would love this place! It has a beautiful atmosphere, great service and delicious food. I will return and hope to be a regular customer.

We had dinner here for the first time on New Year’s Eve. Great location and ambiance. There was an area set apart for a private party. A couple actually got engaged at dinner while we were there. Cocktails were inventive. Wine list was ok. We got the «chef’s tasting menu» even tho when i called to ask about it (as it says on the online menu), the person I talked to said there was none. There is a chef’s choice of menu items of 4,5, or 6 courses although you can choose certain items you really want/don’t want. We let her choose. Cabbage salad was not bad, strong on the balsamic vinegar and squash pieces were too big. Quail and figs a little overcooked. Sturgeon also ok. Nothing was really memorable tho. Prob won’t go back except for drinks.

Location, location, location! At the north end of the canal, Euphoria (and it’s sister restaurant, Creation Café) offers a great view of downtown. I’ve not been here for dinner, but had my wedding reception here on 09.09.09. It’s an ideal spot for private parties, as they are quite flexible and offer an extensive catering menu at reasonable prices.

The concierge at the Conrad recommended Euphoria for it’s unique location and eclectic menu. She was a former employee and her daughter was our server. That said, we had a blast!
We were greeted warmly by Jess who truly seemed excited to wait on us. It was a quiet evening — January in Indy — so we had plenty of attention.
We started with a couple of martinis. Mine was raspberry and was great. Steve’s was… I don’t remember but it was a little sour for him. We traded and then he switched to a chocolate martini. Twice. The martinis were $ 11 each — reasonable for a city restaurant.
I like wine but know very little about it. The wine list is divided into three sections. $ 25 wines, $ 40 wines and individually priced wines. All the $ 25 wines were available by the glass at $ 8 and a few of the $ 40 wines which were $ 12 a glass. It was perfect for a not-​so-​ornophile.
We opted for the tasting menu at $ 55 per person. It included a starter, a fish, a meat and dessert of the chef’s choice. Everyone at the table has to have the same thing. My husband was quite reluctant but agreed to try it to make me happy. Points for him!!!
We were served a beautifully seared scallop with endive, mild sauteed endive and red peppers. It was perfectly prepared and delicious.
Next came the skate — actually stingray. I’m not a fish fan but it too was well done with fried cauliflower and a fantastic lemon pesto pasta. I could have made a meal of the pasta!
The meat course was lamb. It was served with soft, fluffy sauteed potatoes and pickled wild mushrooms as well as a cranberry mustard and topped with a walnut streusel. The lamb was rare and well seared.
Dessert was tiramisu and bread pudding both served with scoop of ice cream — espresso for the tiramisu and vanilla bean for the bread pudding. I’m not a tiramisu fan but Steve loved it and our server Jess brought him a second serving. The bread pudding was a huge portion and excellent. Both ice creams were incredible.
Dinner came to $ 177 plus tip. The only criticisms I have were that the restaurant was too bright. The setting is an old church and it is cavernous but not loud. There are not annoying televisions and the tables are beautifully set. The other criticism is the dish washer. The plates and glass wear were not as sparkling as they should have been. They weren’t dirty, just seemed not to have been wiped as clean as they should have been. Steve did not notice so it may not bother most people.
Euphoria is off the beaten path but worth the trip for the interesting venue — an old temple — and the creative menu.

Have eaten here several times… the food is always fantastic… and with proper sized proportions.

Service has always been superb. especially with the charming Italian gentleman. Fantastic ambiance… and dining on the balcony is wonderful… with a view of the canal and all the activity !
Parking is not an issue. plenty around. and you can park next door at the IUPUI building as a «visitor»

The husband and I had dinner at Euphoria last night and enjoyed our finest dining experience ever. We’ve eaten there only one other time last year and it was wonderful, too. Everything was perfect and I wouldn’t want a thing changed — the atmosphere, the service, the appetizer, the entrees, the wine and the dessert were truly remarkable. When we arrived at Euphoria we were eagerly greeted by Jess who was also our server. She was great — she was very attentive and enjoyed answering our barrage of questions. We were definitely having trouble making a food decision because everything sounded so incredible and unique. The recommendations that Jess made for us were fabulous. We started out with a very reasonably priced bottle of French red wine for $ 25. The wine was great. We ordered the Braised pork with brussel sprouts, gouda, apples, pork jus and chicharrones. Next time we go to Euphoria I’m going to order this appetizer again and then 2 more as my meal. It’s a square chunk of pork that is braised and has the most wonderful texture and flavor. The outside is almost crisp and the inside melts in your mouth. For one of our entrees we ordered the Moulard duck breast with sweet potatoes, maitake mushrooms, poblano creamed lentils and candied pumpkin seeds. Ah, the duck was perfectly cooked and very rare in the middle. The breast was cut into thick slices and each slice was tender and juicy, The poblano cream sauce was a real hit with us, too. For our other entrée we ordered the Grilled sturgeon with farro, parsnips, apricots, pickled red onions and black rice chip. Not sure if we’d ever had sturgeon or farro or black rice chip so this meal was exciting. The sturgeon was a thick slab of delicate, creamy, flaky white fish. Perfectly cooked. (Really is there anything more disappointing than overcooked fish?) The fish was soooo great. I think I would compare it to halibut (?) but I’m not sure. We also ordered a dessert, which we rarely do since we don’t eat a lot of sweets. But, when we saw a savory dessert offering we decided to try it and we’re so glad we did. It consisted of a creamy goat cheese and housemade lady fingers. Excellent finish to an excellent meal. We love the atmosphere in Euphoria — it’s a fancy yet comfortable. Dark wood, high ceilings, wonderful lighting and just beautifully decorated. They have a nice looking bar area off to the side that we may check-​out soon, too. I will admit that both times that we’ve been to Euphoria were not on the weekend so I’m not sure how crowded they get or if reservations are necessary. You can check their website for more info.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at Euphoria! Service was excellent, the food was beyond superb, and the atmosphere was cozy. We enjoyed every minute of it, which is probably why we were the last people to leave the restaurant. It is on the mouth of the canal making you think you are in some far off place. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone and will return soon.

I want want wanted to LOVE this place. I really did. It’s a beautiful location and I like the interior. I love local places and I LOVE places that support animal welfare groups (Indy Humane).
But the food was just decent. My service was sub-​par. The waiter brought bread… but there were no bread plates on the table. It was 10 minutes before he came back and we could ask for some. My water glass was empty toward the end of the meal… and stayed empty. My friend ordered the halibut — and the pea spaetzle was her favorite part of the dish. Kinda sad.
The scallops appetizer was delicious. I ordered the pork loin which was decent — although the fingerling potatoes with feta was YUM. I wish I’d read Jon A’s review — I was seriously contemplating the pork belly, now I wish I’d ordered it. I will say — if you’re thinking about dessert — the carmelized lemon tart made mouths really happy.

There’s a really good way to tick off my inner-​Rabbi (and I’m sure every inner or outer Rabbi)…which is to babble on and on about pork belly; and get massively detailed about the way pork belly elevates the soul to a state of grace, and lifts the human body to new levels.
Yes, it’s just another day in May… and I’m still drooling over the Pork Belly I had on Valentine’s Day at Euphoria. That’s right folks… my girl knows the exact route to my heart — pork belly.
Remember when Costanza said, «I’d drape myself in velvet if it were socially acceptable,» well, I’d wear a pork belly cape every day if it were made.
It’s one thing to HAVE pork belly on the menu, then Euphoria went above and beyond the call of pork duty in their overall serving. Now… most of the time pork belly comes in small quantities… on a toothpick or used as a garnish on top of, yes, more pork. But this mid-​course pork belly here was 4 layers of pork belly. The presentation was top notch, as in they formed it into layers like a cake, then topped it off with a torched mint leaf that crumbled into the pork. I could’ve sat down and all I was served was this for the $ 55 5 course meal and would left happy.
All roads lead to pork belly. But I can go on… there was a coat check! Yeah, get formal!
At first the austere male-​model waiter was, well, really austere, but then I realized what was going on: it was Valentine’s night… he didn’t want to step on any toes… so he took a hands-​off, less-​banter, amazing-​service approach.
The rest of the food was damn good, to. Yes, there’s more than pork belly here. A salad on the sweet side… candied walnuts darling? Yes!
The location is atop Creation Café in Bugg’s Temple, which allows the mood to shift if you’d like to go downstairs or out on the balcony to loosen up after a formal dinner upstairs.
NOTE: It blows my mind that a hostess looks at an empty dining room, and sees a small table in between two other tables-​for-​two, and chooses that one rather than any other table in the room. It’s not like the waiters are jumping over the canal to get to each table… so be sure to have some moxie if you’d like to request a different table (like we do at every. single. eatery. in. Indy).

I think EUPHORIA was over priced. The food was ok. The service was good. The restaurant is VERY cold. You will want to dress in layers if you are going to eat there during the winter months. The décor was nice and it has a beautiful space. I would go back if the prices were cut in half. I would also suggest expanding the menu. Also considering how many ducks are on the canal, I would not suggest having entrées with duck. It is a little creepy.

I visited Euphoria over Memorial Day Weekend and was underwhelmed. The building/​space that the restaurant is in is very cool (looks like an old castle) but the service and food was just OK.
To start, our server never refilled our wine glasses during the dinner. At a long table of 10 people, someone in our party would have to stand and walk around refilling wine glasses.
Food-​wise — our appetizers and cheese were good. I recommend the graham cracker crusted calamari — very good! However, quality of food went down after our first-​course. The main entrees were all just OK. The skate was soggy (even through it was «crusted») and presentation was unappealing. The salmon was just average. And the pea soup was SO creamy it was too heavy and not light & springy at all. To top it off, the entrees were very overpriced (averaging about $ 30 an entrée).
If I ever went back (which I probably won’t), I would only go for drinks and appetizers/​cheese.

Had Mother’s Day Brunch here. My family usually is not a fan of buffets — at all. However, holidays like these kind of lend themselves to brunches, so we decided to give it go and were very pleasantly surprised. Not only is the building beautiful, the food was excellent! I only wish they had double sided the buffet to make it run faster. I’m kind of impatient with my food…
Anyway, you know how sometimes on a buffet, you only like maybe 50 or 60% of the food? I could have eaten EVERY item. (And I just about tried everything). They had fabulous breakfast items from smoked salmon, fruit, made to order omelletes, eggs benedict, to lunch w/​lobster ravioli and prime rib. Woah. Top all this off with excellent service, a beautiful view of the canal, and the gerbera daisy they gave my mom? They’ve won a future dinner client.

Located in Buggs Temple, Euphoria’s décor is sumptuous and eclectic. The main room is flanked by larger more private room with smaller alcove like spaces on the other side. The ambiance is really nice and conducive to romance. It is also sufficiently ritzy and open to be a great place for a business dinner – the reason I was there two weeks ago.
The service was quite good but casual as another reviewer has suggested. Our wait staff suggested an excellent merlot for dinner and brought out a free appetizer to help us decide what to order. Several of us ordered form the prix fixe menu which made the meal a bit more reasonable. I had the curried shrimp which featured a fantastic curry with a bit of heat to it and very generous portion of shrimp. The starter salad of field greens was good but could have used shaved parmesan or some other toping to finish it and to make it more presentable. We ordered the potatoes two ways – fingerling creamed soup with truffle oil and twice baked potatoes. The soup was simply drop dead yummy. We also ordered a seared tuna wonton – it was adequate but not memorable.
This is not a restaurant for vegetarians with its current menu. There was one mélange of vegetables as the vegetarian offering. I would have ordered that but it had brussels sprouts, and I simply can not abide by them. There was a preponderance of bacon and ham, even fried pork skin. It was a tad overwhelming for me. My decidedly carnivore colleagues felt the same way. I do hope that they will continue to experiment with the menu. I would live to go back here in the Spring to see if they offered lighter, less pork infused fare.

Like Jessica H., my wife and I went to Euphoria last night as part of Devour Downtown’s Winterfest. We’d never been to the Bugg’s Temple building before, but our experience at Euphoria was reason enough to go back.
We had an 8:15pm reservation, and were seated promptly, though we found it strange that we had to have a such a late reservation, as the restaurant was nearly empty. We were sat in the bar area underneath some extremely bright spotlight-​like track lights, even though there were plenty of more intimate areas available. We asked the host if we could sit in a more subdued area, and he obliged.
The server came along shortly and was super-​casual, which caught us off guard: he didn’t have a nametag, apron, or anything else to indicate he was an employee, which we thought strange at first, but after a bit, we grew accustomed to his relaxed demeanor and even appreciated it. He told us a bit about the restaurant’s brief history, beautiful décor (I’ve never seen an opium den besides those in the movies, but I imagine an upscale one would look like Euphoria), and of course the food.
We ordered drinks promptly (I had a «Hamhattan»: Maker’s Mark infused with bacon — actually quite tasty.) We also had some fine cheeses and bread, but it took awhile for the waiter to get back to us in spite of the restaurant’s apparent lack of business.
When he did come back to take our order, it didn’t take long to get our food. We split a salad, black bean soup, and each got curried shrimp in a Thai pineapple/​avocado sauce. It was all quite delicious.
Dessert was good too: a selection of three small pieces, one with banana and a cookie, one a chocolate flourless cake, and a shagbark-​sweetened cheesecake. We left completely stuffed, satisfied, and with plenty of leftovers for today (and maybe tomorrow!)
Though there were a few minor snags (bright lighting, slow taking of our order, and some rather pricey menu items — $ 39 for lamb), the atmosphere, kind demeanor of the employees, and delicious food ensure we’ll go back in the near future.

We went during Devour Downtown’s Winterfest and had an amazing experience! The menu was a great deal and we both came away from dinner stuffed without any dessert!
I went with the black bean soup (complete with applewood smoked bacon and lemon) and the steak frites. My husband had the black bean soup and the shrimp curry. Our meal was led off with an amuse bouche of king crab legs drizzled lightly with clarified butter. They also had delicious artesian breads that they served along side the soup. We also got a side of the brussel sprouts, as someone who hated them as a kid, these were divine!
I’d also like to point out that our waiter was very knowledgeable about their beer list and we were really glad that he worked with what flavors we were looking for to come up with the perfect accompaniment to our meal.
