I wanted a quick mani on my way out of town a few weekends back. I drove by this place slowly, trying to read the open hours sign. A lady ran out and waved me in. They were scheduled to close in less than 10 minutes, but she took me anyway, which was very nice. She actually insisted. It could have been that she was rushing, but she did a pretty bad job on my gel mani. Several nails had a corner not painted, and it didn’t last long. I feel bad for the lady running it, because she seems to have a hard time getting people in, but I won’t be back.

I visited the nail shop with my friend because she was getting married to days ago. The services I requested were a pedicure, a manicure, and my eyebrows waxed. I am disappointed with this shop and will not return. Pedicure– good job overall, however, the polish job is the worse I’ve ever had. Manicure– not bad, but my thumb is still sore 2 days later where my cuticles were cut. The polish job is better than the toes, but is still not professional(meaning I could have done it). Eyebrows– she waxed my brows, then asked me how I liked them(without giving me a mirror to see!) and walked away before I could respond. The next day while getting my makeup done for the wedding I noticed a lot of in waxed hair under my right brow. Service– this is a big one. I was not treated well. I was ignored while asking question, not escorted to the drying table, just left in the chair, and I had to ask someone if I could pay to leave.(I asked my friend if I was a ghost! I could not believe how neglected I was) the place was not packed.

Nope, never again. I was very disappointed with my visit. First, a few pros: — pedicure is only $ 26 — staff recognize their regulars and are very nice to them — very welcoming to new clients and accept walk-ins promptly That’s where it ends. Cons include: — the space feels dirty — high ceilings and an open space make it incredibly loud — pedicure chairs don’t move forward very far, so if you are short, expect a backache from stretching your legs — the tech only gave me one coat of polish and did not trim my nails evenly(noticeably so) — even after I insisted SEVERAL times that my skin not be cut, the technician argued with me and grumbled about how I had too much cuticles and she needed to cut them; this was such an ongoing argument that I refused to do a manicure afterwards because I didn’t want to deal with her. She also visibly rolled her eyes at me when I told her I also did not want my feet razored. — while the tech gave me a loofah treatment, she did not moisturize my legs or feet. I am not sure if they never do this, she forgot, or she was angry about the whole cuticle thing and just wanted to get me out of there.

I’m pretty easy to please and visit my regular nail shop faithfully every two weeks. I was in the area and decided to stop in Élan Nails, I can honestly say I have NEVER been as displeased as I was when I left this shop. It started with the scalding hot water in the pedicure bowl. The lady should have checked the water with her hand before directing me to place my feet in the water. Second, the lady had me soak my gel polish without first buffing the polish to break the band, every nail tech should know gel polish does not peel off without buffing it first. Lastly, the polish job on my toes and nails is TERRIBLE!!! My 4yr old can polish better than this, it’s messy and streaky. I will be visiting my regular nail shop tomorrow to have this mess removed.

While the technician was very nice, the place was very dirty. My appointment was in the morning so you would expect it would be clean but there were nail shavings dirt smudges and goodness knows what else all over the tables equipment and floor.

Élan Nails is a wonderful salon. The owners are husband and wife and about the nicest people you could ever meet. I’ve been getting my pedicures done here for about years now and decided to finally write a review after I watched them stay open after closing to provide services for a man and his mother. I cannot recommend them enough. Great attention great pedicure great people!

They are kind. If a mani gets messed up after you leave, they repair it for you. The nail tech remembers you when you come back. When I was in a hurry, they snuck me in between others.(They did ask first). Normally however, it is the order that you come in. I was nicked one time. Though I did not like it, I have never heard of a manicure place that doesn’t nick someone sometimes. I got a discount when I was nicked. When I came back the next time, they asked about my finger. I have had a gel manicure done as well as a regular pedicure. I have always been fairly pleased. There is ample parking. As in several places, sometimes their accents are hard to understand. The gentleman speaks clearly though.

I visited this shop for a pedicure. The gentleman that did my pedicure was very nice. When he set me at the uv nail dryer he came over with a bottle of clear coat and put a coat on my fingernails. I guess he’s not a fan of matte nail polish.

I was on the hunt to get a pedicure before my trip to the west coast. Of course I waited until the last minute and realized as I was driving around one evening that every place would probably be closed. I was headed in the direction of my apartment when I noticed Élan Nails located close to the corner of 86th and Ditch. Their lights were still on, so I had hope they were still going to be open for awhile. I walked up at around 8:05 pm and the sign said they closed at 8 pm. Huge bummer. I then turned around and proceeded to walk back to my car. At that moment, one of the ladies that worked there came running out of the building to tell me that they could fit me in and not to worry about the time. Really?! I was so excited. Nothing was rushed and she was more than happy that I was there to get a pedicure. Not only did she accommodate my late arrival, but my toes looked great afterward. Very pleased with this place! Affordable and customer service is obviously high on their list.

This place will take anytime appointment, even their closing hours. Also, they will stay open even if you walk in while they are about to close. They never turn a customer away. I messed up my polish when I drove off, they were very pleasant and fixed my messed up nail after I came back shortly after. They do go above and beyond for good customer service.

It was 4:30pm on a Saturday and only one man and two ladies were working but the place was empty so I was excited to get attentive service. I was given a bottle of water and greeted by the man and asked to sit at a manicure station. I needed my gel polish removed and replaced. I had to remind them three times I did not want a full manicure. I had to remind them three times what color I wanted. The nail tech did not scrape all the gel polish off of my nails before she was ready to apply the new polish. I didn’t notice it until after the new polish was applied; there was leftover red on many of my fingernails’ corners showing through the new light champagne glitter color. She didn’t apply the base gel all the way to my cuticles at my nail bed or around the sides. She didn’t even coat the tips of my fingernails to help seal in the edge for the no chip polish. While I was there, another woman came in for a manicure, one for brows and two for mani/pedis. I was walked away from multiple times as my nail tech made me, her first customer, wait for new polish so she could do someone’s brows. Then I had to wait again while she filled the pedi tubs. In the end, it wasn’t even the same woman who finished my crappy polish job and my thumb was still tacky! I hadn’t seen the man since I walked in; it would have been beneficial for him to greet and seat others as they arrived since these two women were busier than they could handle. To their credit, when I had a chance to closely inspect my nails, find the obvious errors and complain, she charged me only $ 15 and asked me to come back the next day so she could fix it. She said she wouldn’t charge me to take the polish off(but would to reapply what should have been done correctly in the first place?!). Needless to say, I did not return and I WILLNOT go back again.

Élan is in my hood and opened about 3 years ago. They are my go to spot for last minute pedicures. The price is right and they will almost always take a walk-in. The massage chairs for pedicures are nice and I always feel like you get a good leg massage from the technician as well. The last time I went in I also got a mani(which is rare for me as I work in my garden a lot and find them to be a waste of money since they only last a few days). I will probably never get a manicure here again. The guy who did the service nicked 3 of my fingers when clipping the cuticles. Again, I’m not one to get a mani, but I’m especially hesitant when they are painful. Go for the pedi, for sure, though!

This nail salon is a chop shop. This was the first time Ive had my nails done in over 5 years. I knew I wanted the gel set nails but I didnt know how they applied them. Which wasnt good because after 5 times repeating I wanted a gel full set I was given a acrylic full set but charged for the gel set. The guy that works there was rushing which caused my nails to bubble and chip with in the next 2 days. The price is reasonable but you get what you pay for. Cheap service you get cheap results. I did like how i was given water bottles after waiting for 20 minutes! :-/
